Really enjoyed trying Mosaic Mediterranean Grill & Cafe! The portions were generous and there were so many options whether you want something protein packed, lighter, or vegetarian. We tried a LOT The kebab combination platter was great for sharing and came with beef, chicken, kofta, rice, hummus, pita, and salad. I also really liked having the lentil soup, Greek salad, tabbouleh, falafel, hummus, baba ganoush, muhammara, and warak enab to balance everything out. The falafel wrap was super filling too! I also appreciated that everything is made fresh to order. It can take a little extra time, so I'd call ahead if you're in a rush. Overall, good portions, lots of variety, and a nice casual spot when you want a filling Mediterranean meal!

Mosaic Mediterranean is a new Syrian/Lebanese restaurant located in the Foothill Ranch area. They took over the location of another Syrian restaurant, Obaid. Their offerings included appetizers, entrees, and desserts. Hummus ($7) - Unfortunately the hummus was a bit grainy and not very smooth. In terms of taste it was a little bland. It was disappointing to see that they used store bought pita instead of making fresh pita. Muhammara ($7) - Made with red peppers, walnuts and molasses, I felt like the version here was a bit lackluster. The colors didn't seem bright and vibrant like other places I have tried and didn't seem fresh at all. Kebab combination platter ($30) - This came with rice, hummus, salad, beef, chicken and kofta kebabs. The rice didn't have much flavor and the salad was pretty basic. Nothing really stood out with the kebab meats in terms of taste. The kofta and chicken were juicy however. Also the quantity was on the smaller side when I compare to other Arab restaurants in the Little Arabia district of Anaheim. A la carte items: Shrimp a la carte (3 very small pieces - $8) Chicken kabob (4 pieces - $8) Beef kabob (4 pieces - $10) Kofte kabob (1 piece - $10) Chicken shawarma a la carte (6 oz) - ($8) Beef shawarma a la carte (6oz) ($8) Both the shawarma meats seemed to be more like strips of meat stir fried instead of being thinly sliced from a rotisserie. They were on the drier side unfortunately and would definitely pass on them. Overall I felt the food was just ok taste wise. The a la carte items are pricey, given the quantity of meat, especially the shrimp. I really wish they made fresh baked pita.

The owner was very kind and engaging as he explained it to be a combination of Syrian and Lebanese cuisines. The service was great, and the food was prepared to order. We were one of a few tables on a Wednesday evening and everything was clean and orderly. Appetizers / A La Carte - Meat Sambousek 4.5/5: The pastry was soft and flaky, with the savory onion and meat - Kibbeh 5/5: The seasoning was perfect, very flavor forward, with a freshly fried bulgar shell - Cheese Borak 4.5/5: The same great pastry above, but with herbs and cheese - Falafel 4/5: Great crunch, with a soft, fluffy inside Entree - Kebab Combination Platter 5/5: - Beef Kebab: Savory and tender - Chicken Kebab: Juicy, with the right amount of char; the perfect vehicle for their garlic sauce - Kota Kebab: So well seasoned and flavorful, with great texture Dessert: Made in house! - Dubai Chocolate 4.5/5: Decadent, with the quality of the chocolate coming through in the smooth melt, and the finish is a pleasant mix of roasted kataifi and pistachio. - Baklava 3.5/5: I wish that it was bigger, but it was fresh and flaky We like to try a variety of dishes and often share, so we are excited about the diversity of their menu and hope to be back soon...especially for their desserts.

The food is excellent. Freshly Made and tastes delicious. Staff was very kind. I got my order to go and it was quick for being so fresh.

I enjoyed a most delicious array of authentic mediterranean Syrian/Lebanese cuisine last night at Mosaic grill. The grilled chicken was moist and so very flavorful. Portions were big enough for 2 easily. The gyro which was lamb and beef was thinly sliced and perfectly seasoned. So, on to the rice....how good can rice be? The rice was outstanding and had a mild flavor that accented the proteins so well. And the hummus and tsziki sauce was very nice. The owner is very friendly and told me i would enjoy his garlic sauce. It was the best I have had. This little gem of a place is tucked away and new. . This is my go to Mediterranean Grill! I have a hunch this will be your new local fav place too.

Unfortunately I didn't check the platter till I got home. Mixed Kebab for 5 ($80) - This plate is supposed to come with 3 skewers each of (tawook, kefta, beef kabobs), beef shawarma, chicken shawarma, salad, rice, fries, garlic sauce, tahini, grilled vegetables. The plate was missing the shawarma meats, fries, and some of the grilled vegetables. I saw a picture from someone's Yelp review that did have the shawarma meats and clearly I was not provided with that. The food was just ok, nothing really stood out except the beef kabobs were tender and juicy. Overall, I'm disappointed that they didn't include all the items mentioned on the menu. I did see someone's Yelp review from February and the same thing happened to him. When he complained to the management, they gave him some additional items and told him our menu has changed. If the menu has changed, then it should be updated, it's been over 5 months! Also the platter as it was provided to me is definitely not enough for 5 people. Tried calling a few times and they don't pick up the phone.

For some reason I was craving some Shawerma so I had ordered their Shawerma Plate which comes with Beef and Chicken Shawerma along with some salad, hummus, pita bread and rice. To my dismay, the both meats were very dry. I feel like it lacked seasoning as it had no flavor unless I covered it with their garlic sauce. Hopefully it was just an off day or dry because there were no customers at the time but hoping this place just had an off day with their food.

This time, I tried the Chancho En Cama with avocado in a gluten-free wrap, served with fries and Serrano sauce. It had a nice sweet-and-savory combination. The sweetness comes from the charred mashed sweet potato, while the roasted shredded pork shoulder, lime-marinated red onion, cilantro, and yellow pepper aioli bring in the savory flavors. Adding avocado was a nice touch too. Service: 5/5 I ordered takeout for lunch, this time but everything went smoothly with my order. I remember we had lunch at the restaurant and the owner and staff were friendly. Location & Parking: 5/5 Located in a large Foothill Ranch shopping plaza with plenty of parking around the area. Ambiance: 5/5 From what I remember, the inside has more of a bar-like setting with a moderate noise level. Casual and fitting for a lunch or quick meal. Overall: 5/5 Mamon has an interesting variety of sandwiches and flavor combinations that you don't see everywhere. Between my old go-to Choripan and trying the Chancho En Cama this time, there are still plenty of other menu items that give me a reason to come back!

It was a late lunch for us, and so the place was nearly empty with the exception of one other group. We scanned the QR code at the front counter and took a seat at a table to review the menu. It was a little difficult to navigate and some items did not have pictures. The gentleman who helped us was just friendly enough to go over some of the menu items. But after we placed our order, we never saw anyone again. We ordered the pork shoulder sandwich called Chancho en Cama. We split the sandwiches so that we could try two different kinds. We both really loved the flavor profile of the pork sandwich. I really enjoyed it and wish I had a whole sandwich of this one! We also had the Philly Me Up sandwich. This one was a miss for us, definitely. This was pretty bland and just didn't compare to the deliciousness of the pork sandwich. Our sides were good, which included french fries, and roasted cauliflower. The portions are pretty small for the price point of the food. We'd probably stop by again to try other items if we were in the area.

I should've known better, but I remember the soup being pretty good and since it's in our neighborhood, thought we'd give it one more try. We did a togo for $60 and we were basically given garbage, so old and past its prime, everything should have be in the trash. The pita that was served was all stale, hard and tasted like dirty oil. The falafel was overcooked, dry and tasteless. The rice was overcooked mushy with no flavor. Grape leaves taste tasted like canned and bitter. My finance picked up the online order and we have an email receipt and order number for 4.17. We both did reviews and he was so upset he paid for food he could not eat. I was sick and wanted soup, I stayed in the car when he went in to pick it up so that's why I'm not on his "camera". My review is legit, regardless of what the owner is stating. Rather than dispute my review, the owner should try and apologize not make claims against my integrity. I will not have someone antagonize me to try to get me to remove my authentic review as an Elite. Be aware that if you go here, the food might not only be bad but you'll be treated like a criminal for having honest feedback and have to be harassed for weeks after all because you wanted some soup.
