If you're craving for a good Thai food that doesn't hurt the budget, this is the place to go! Dropped by for dinner last night and was seated right away, the restaurant did not have Air Condition when we arrive but it didn't bother us anyway as it is a cool that night. We ordered Spicy Seafood Fried Rice, Garlic Pepper Chicken, Chicken Pad Thai and Mango Sticky Rice. All items came in generous portions and what surprised me was the Pad Thai as it tasted really good! It even has crushed peanuts on it. We were so full from the meal that we had to take home the Mango Sticky Rice but it is still so good upon reheating on the microwave, the cream is not too sweet, and they're very generous on the Mangoes. We'll definitely be back even for a take out as we saw a lot of locals who pick up their dinners as well when we dined that night.
Came here late on a Sunday night to celebrate a birthday. I really liked the interior design, it gave the restaurant a unique and inviting atmosphere. The staff was also very friendly and welcoming. Tom Yum with Shrimp - The shrimp were very firm and bouncy, and there was a good amount of vegetables. The soup was overly sweet from the first bite, though I did enjoy the sour finish afterward. It was just sweeter than I prefer. The spice level was accurate, and they definitely make it as spicy as they describe on the menu. Pad Thai - This was a complete miss for me. It lacked the signature smoky wok flavor and classic Pad Thai taste. Instead, it was just overly sweet, which wasn't to my liking. Black Pepper Fish - My favorite dish of the night. It reminded me of many Chinese-style house special fish dishes here in Orange County. The fish was lightly crispy and coated with a flavorful black pepper sauce. I would definitely order this again. Panang Curry - Pretty standard. Nothing really stood out, but it wasn't bad either. It had a nice, mild coconut curry flavor that paired well with rice.
This was my first time visiting and I wanted to try their lunch menu. The restaurant has a cozy, low-key charm and is a friendly, family-owned business. It was quiet, not crowded at all during lunch, and very clean. I ordered the Pad Kee Mao with chicken, and everything was deliciously made to perfection with full of flavor and perfectly cooked. The lunch special is a great deal and comes with one main menu item, salad, soup, an egg roll, and gyoza. You can choose chicken, pork, vegetables, or tofu, with upgrades available for beef (+$1), shrimp (+$2), or seafood (+$3). Lunch is served Monday through Friday from 11am-2pm. The service was friendly, attentive, and welcoming, which really added to the experience. I will definitely be coming back!
I've been craving Thai for weeks now. This place is so close and so delicious! We got the appetizer sampler, green, curry, and pad see ew. All of it was so very delicious. We will be coming back soon!
Our first time at Siam Thai Kitchen. We wanted to try it out seeing the high ratings on Yelp. I ordered the pad see ew with chicken and my husband got the combo fried rice. I should have looked at the reviews here more carefully before ordering. Pad see ew: this dish was salty, especially the chicken meat, it was very salty. I couldn't get our server's attention since she disappeared after taking our order, then brought the foods out and disappeared again, for a long time. When I was finally able to get her attention, she offered to redo the dish so that was nice. The restaurant wasn't super busy, just a few tables with diners. She was the only server in the restaurant with the help of an older gentleman, which I believe is the owner. It appeared to be a family-owned restaurant and they do not hire any employees for the front of the house. The combo fried rice was just okay. The meat again was salty and I pointed out to the server. The kitchen was a bit heavy-handed on the salt or fish sauce? Not sure if we want to be back again.
3.5 stars. Ordered on Door Dash, so I can't speak to the ambiance or service. I ordered pork pad see ew. It was full of crunchy vegetables, which I enjoyed. The noodles were clumped together, and there was only a little pork. The heat level was a 1, and as far as I saw in door dash, could not add spice. I would definitely order again, because it was a good portion and the veggies were crisp.
I was so excited to try the papaya salad tray, unfortunately I think I'll pass next time just get the papaya salad only. The papaya salad itself was flavorful and had a ton of lime and fish sauce. The accompanying pad thai was lacking in flavor and kinda dry. The chicharones were stale and the chicken wings were overcooked and really dry. The rad na was very good and the sauce portion was very generous. The panang curry was good and a generous portion compared to other places , but seemed kind of runny, but glad it came with a side of rice and didn't need to pay extra for it. I called for take out and it took them approx 30 mins. The restaurant itself is hidden in the corner of the plaza, but rather big on the inside. Overall would come back.
Small and cozy hidden restaurant tucked in the corner of a run down strip mall. It was lonely when we first arrived but felt at ease when we noticed that many to go orders went out. Food was delicious, waitress wasn't the best but might have been having a bad day. Understandable, food made up for it. Came for the Tom Yum and Tom Yum was Will be back.
A small hole in the wall with great food. Only about 6 or 8 tables. The size of the servings was ginormous & enough for 2-3 meals. I had spicy pork ribs soup with flat noodles & creamy curry saucei + a ball of crunchy fried noodles on top. Yummy. My wife had combination fried rice with shrimp, pork, and beef fried rice. Also yummy & huge. The Thai tea was a little too sweet for me but not my wife. Recommended for casual dining.
The Pad See Ew here is EXACTLY what I want and expect when I order one. The noodles have a nice chew, there was a little char on everything including the vegetables, it was perfect. Usually when you get pad see ew, a good indicator that it's going to be flavorful is the color of the noodles. Pale tan? No flavor. A nice rich brown like the ones in the picture here? Delicious. My bf and I also got a Pad Thai (not pictured), a Panang Curry, and finished with Mango Sticky Rice for dessert. Everything was so good, I think this is my new favorite Thai food place.
For a to go order it was Tum Tad and Chicken Phad Thai mild. As always, flavor was on point. Tum Tad has many ingredients and the papaya salad dressing hits them all ( pork rinds in a plastic bag). the wings, although flavorful are a bit dry and the lettuce liner, which i love to eat, get wilted. i love that the pan is reusable and the plates, napkins and untensils were provided. Than you Siam Thai!!
I ordered way too much for a party of one so leftovers it is .. no complaints. I enjoyed everything I ordered... the Chu-Chi Fish and Shrimp with rice was delicious. I'm not a fan of curry but this dish was tasty and both the fish and the giant shrimps were fresh; also had a bowl of their Silver Noodle Soup - I thought it was a small cup of soup - didn't know it was meal size and finished off with the Mango with Sweet Sticky Rice. Great way to end the work week with good food on a cold evening.
Restaurant was empty when we went in, the staff was very friendly and nice, the food was not bad. I enjoyed the khao soi a lot but the pork was definitely a bit on the dry side. Chicken satay was solid with the sauce. Tom kha koi was very good as well. Environment was pretty clean but it was just empty.
Restaurant is cozy with spacious seating. Staff was friendly, if busy with take out orders. We ordered: 1. Thom Kha: great flavor, fresh, excellent 2. We got seated right away for a Saturday evening, which is always a plus. The fish in black pepper was easily the best thing we ate. It was savory, flavorful, lightly fried, and the black pepper sauce really worked well with the fish. Definitely my favorite dish of the meal. The Panang curry with chicken was creamy and comforting, while the Pad Thai with shrimp leaned quite sweet. The Tom Yum soup with shrimp was ordered at medium spice and came with some really large shrimp. The broth was also slightly sweet with a nice level of heat. Overall, most of the dishes were sweeter than I personally prefer, but the fish in black pepper was the standout and something I'd definitely recommend and order again. read more

I've ordered take out from them twice. The green curry was consistently good. Spicy really does mean spicy and I have zero regrets. I'd rather it be spicy like requested, than not. I do have a good tolerance for heat. However, extra spicy may be overkill. The papaya salad was also delicious. It comes w two large shrimp. The papaya was crisp, even the next day and the day after. I was more interested in the papaya salad itself than the shrimp, but you can also opt for the salted crab as an option. Pad Thai was ok, but I'm not fickle when it comes to this dish. But if you are particular/ picky about your Pad Thai this might not be for you. It was a bit sweeter and heavier on the sauce. The noodles were also a bit too soft. That's probably because it was a togo order so it continued steaming in the container, so I don't fault the restaurant for that. The dishes I would pass on would be the green beans in garlic sauce. They were older, tougher green beans. But it came w mushrooms that were good. Maybe it's just this shipment of green beans that weren't young and crisp. But, I would skip it all together and try something else next time. This restaurant is family owned and they work hard. It's good to support family businesses. Definitely give them a try. read more

In town for a water polo tournament and was craving Thai food - based on reviews and proximity we landed here. Very clean and modern interior, with a lot of tables and adequate space. We were greeted by the owner when we walked in and seated promptly. My husband had the chicken pad Thai and a Thai tea, and enjoyed both. I had the Kung Pao chicken, level 4 (out of 5) spiciness and it was great, very flavorful! I likely could've gone level 5, but I love spicy! Owner served me a Singha beer, perfect as I was so hot from being out at the pool. Overall good experience, would recommend! read more

We had london new year and debated about where to eat. This was a fabulous find. Two of us ordered three dishes, pork ribs in an amazing curry. It is on the additional menu. We mopped up the extra sause. We had pad ki Mao with beef, the beef was tender and perfectly cooked. We had papaya salad with shrimp. Medium. Just enough bite to be interesting. So we dragged two friends who got two more of the curry and the pad ki Mao plus the chicken satay. The satay was very good. Finale was mango sticky rice. We ate one and took one home. It was an experience that I can't wait to repeat. Pitcha was our hostess with her father. Very nice people. read more

Summary: Food is decent, it is definitely not the most flavorful thai food I've had but for a quick bite to hit that craving, this is not a bad choice. Service was friendly and attentive and food came out relatively fast. The shop itself was pretty spacious, but I do not know if they utilize the whole floor, maybe for busier days (went on a thursday around 6pm and it was empty but half the floor was being used.) Food: Solid pad thai, was a bit on the sweeter side and was lacking a bit on the protein. I would say this is your standard pad thai here in the states. Pad See Ew was also pretty standard, nothing really stood out, veggies were kinda just thrown into the dish didn't contribute to the taste for me. Again leaning on the sweeter side. Yellow Curry was decent, the veggies again kinda just thrown in, not really cooked to incorporate it even consistency wise. This one had a decent amount of protein though but overall it was just alright. read more
We love Thai food and this is the most authentic we have ever tried outside of Thailand. Definitely the best Thai in Orange County. The tom yum is my favorite. It's tangy with a little kick. The flavor is amazing. I like to add chicken or shrimp protein. I love the chicken pineapple curry and Thai milk tea. My brother loves the duck curry. The service is not the fastest but worth the patience. It's a little hidden in the corner of a strip mall. The decor is dark with a pretty Japanese cherry blossom tree. They have a sushi bar but I don't think they service sushi anymore. Highly recommend if you love flavor packed Thai food. read more

Located in a small plaza. Food is great. Staff are quick and helpful. They didn't check on me much but I came during a lunch weekday and it was just me and another party so I think they knew we were both just enjoying our time and peace. I will add that though they didn't explicitly check in, they were attentive. They brought me the chili jars right after my plate was served and when I stood to go pay, they immediately went over, so I didn't have to wait for anything. There are 2 large, fully closed single restrooms, so gender, disability, and family friendly! read more

The second try at this place wasn't as good as the first time. Maybe an off day? Negatives: -Taste, we got 3 items. The khao soi was more creamier than we normally like it. The pad Thai was a little too tangy and the spicy fried rice tasted a little spoiled. It could be that they left the rice out too long or didn't store it in the fridge. I could tell by the slimey and slightly sour taste of the rice. -ambiance, I might be old and picky for saying this, but I got tired of the Ariana grande and The Weeknd songs. But I won't count this against them. Positives: -service, they were very quick and polite to us. Overall 3/5 The value of the food was standard, not too expensive just standard. Because we have been to so many Thai spots and Thai being my wife's favorite cuisine, this was not up to par for us. I wanted to give this place a better score based on our first time here, but after this time I don't think we'll be coming back. read more

Food: Ordered papaya salad with shrimp, spice level medium, and Khao Soi, spice level spicy. The papaya salad was not a papaya salad which was disappointing. Instead of papaya, we got lettuce. The shrimp was cooked well though. The Khao Soi was delicious. It was thick and creamy and the chicken was tender. My only issue was that there was no spice. I asked for it to be spicy and there was zero spice as far as I could tell. Service: The service was unfortunately slow even though it was fairly empty inside. Staff was really nice though. read more
I forgot about my previous experience and ordered delivery. I could see the driver on the map driving away from my home and had to call him to redirect. Not the restaurants fault but maybe the delay affected the food quality, not sure. The gyoza was hard and the skin seemed uncooked. The pad see ewe oddly had no flavor. The mixed vegetables had lots of flavor, a little bit on the salty side. I think this place just isn't for me, which is a shame because they have high ratings so I was hopeful. read more
What a nice surprise! This neighborhood Thai restaurant was really good! You can choose the spice level. I really recommend the pineapple rice. It was absolutely delicious and unique. The pad Thai was delicious soft noodles great sauce. The shrimps were delicious. . My husband liked his Mongolian beef with lots of sautéed vegetables and sesame seeds . Prices are fair service was good very casual atmosphere. Really big menu to choose from. Good for all kinds of diets. They no longer make sushi. Enjoy! read more
