Last weekend I scheduled maintenance for my Honda vehicle. I got there at 8:45am for my 9am appointment and my car was ready for me by 9:45am. I got an oil change and tramission fluid change for roughly $230. I was highly surprised that my car was finished with service in under an hour when I have waited longer for just an oil change. I was nervous that they also said I didn't need new filter for the transmission oil change. So far my car appears to be in proper working repair. If you want to get absolutely quadrupled immensely tremendously scammed in every way, shape, and form then come to Moss Bros. Honda! All of the bad reviews are correct and anything otherwise are just from people who accept what one place tells them only to completely be overcharged for what the vehicle is worth. I went here for the Honda HRV ExL. I test drove it and everything. When you test drive something, you think they would put it on hold for you especially when you express immense interest. It's the reason why I even came here. No. About two hours into going back and fourth in which anytime we tried to question the numbers the finance associate would walk away. He would come back. Switch a number around only for it to be the same hiked up price. I counted him walking away at least fifteen times to switch a number hoping he could get us. They completely removed the idea of the ExL and I genuinely feel sorry for the person who did not know better and got suckered into probably paying over $50,000+ for that car in 6 years. They said that being a first time car buyer would put me at a 15% interest rate. They also said they couldn't add the $500 discount for college grads because Honda would make it too difficult. Yeah this place tries to intimidate you and scam you in every way possible. Not ethical tactics though I'm sure it works which is why they still sell cars. They also said they were out of HRV's so halfway through negotiating I did not even know what car we were discussing. They sold the one I test drove too. All of a sudden they had two more HRV's. At that point I did not even want to purchase from them. It was disrespectful. We tried to ask for the key to my car back and suddenly they all disappeared and in came the manager who tried to go over the same unchanging numbers. This was such a horrible experience. That same manager told us that by midnight my credit would be ruined and the deal would expire. It's funny because the people who bought the EXL which I TEST DROVE and expressed that I wanted had been there the day before. We overheard that they decided to come back in the next day and get the car anyways. There was just no respect for us. It's like they wanted to push on the car that they were trying to get rid of. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. They're super disrespectful and have zero empathy for their customers. But hey. They have to get you some how right. We ended up going to Diamond Valley Honda. I was given $3900 for my trade in. This dealership wanted to give me less than $1800. They said my car was in horrible condition and that I had horrible credit. That's funny, Diamond Valley Honda gave me kudos for having such a good credit score. I was given a 5.9% interest rate and guess what! They gave me the $500 discount for being a college grad with out trouble. The process took 2 hours. 2 hours and I walked out with my first car. We spent 4 hours here. Hemet did not act like me being a first time car buyer meant that I had to have an absurd interest rate. The manager at moss bros also told me that my mother co-signing wouldn't make a difference. Funny. At Diamond valley Honda I didn't need a co-signer anyways. Diamond valley Honda was completely transparent with me. $25,464.79. 5.9% interest. My payment is better than I would have imagined. At moss bros they wanted my payment to be $450+. I would have ended up paying so much for this car at the end of the day had I fallen for their scams. I know they didn't want to even talk about the ExL with me or offer to negotiate on another one because they are probably hiking up the price for some other person who doesn't know any better. For the regular version of the car they wanted the price to be $3000+ more than the sticker price. Just horrible. Anyways. I'm pretty sure they will not learn from this. And sorry to the people allowing themselves to fall to their tactics. Diamond valley Honda will treat you right! Be careful when you go to this dealership for servicing your Honda. I had an oil leak I went to Moss Bros. Honda in Moreno Valley . My Advisor, stated that my "timing cover was leaking" Quoted me a price of $1500. I said I was going to get a second opinion , I then went to another Honda dealership to be serviced. The oil leak was originating from a valve cover gasket, which was $220. Such a discrepancy in the price! Terrible experience. I went in for a simple oil change and a tire rotation. They ended up breaking a bolt during the process. Instead of taking responsibility for the damage they caused, they tried to shift the blame to the previews shop the car was taken to because "they tide the bold too tight". They refused to cover the repair and tried charging me over $500 to replace it. This was clearly their mistake, yet they acted like it wasn't their problem. Completely unprofessional and careless. If they can't handle basic maintenance without causing damage and then refuse to make it right, I wouldn't trust them with anything more serious. Avoid this place. read more

Honestly I should've read the reviews before coming here. Now after looking at them, I 100% agree with everyone calling this place scammers. While I had a great experience with Josh (our original sales person), the managers who came to "help" us afterwards were HORRIBLE. I've been researching cars for over a month and had done an offer online through Sam'sClub that connects you to certified dealerships. I didn't mention this in the beginning because I wanted to see how much they would mark up the car without me showing them what I had already been approved for. Tell me why they (the finance director?) tried to offer me 10% interest when I have a great credit score and steady income. All because I was a "first time buyer," when their website had approved me for the Labor Day sale of 3.9% interest. The manager kept leaving and coming back "moving" the numbers when all he kept doing was keeping everything the same then kept asking "what I needed to make the sale happen." Not to mention that I stated I had just graduated from a university, but oh no those $500 off (THAT IS LISTED ON THE HONDA WEBSITE) were "not seen" in their numbers. And that "interest rates of 3 or 4 percent were of the past." I had to literally show them on my phone the breakdown I had already gotten on the Honda website after I continuously mentioned all the deals verbally. The manager opened up the terms and conditions, read them, and told me "all I'm seeing here is may, may, may and the dealership has control of the numbers. I don't know any place that would offer you that." I was so fed up, I told them I could assure him I could easily find somewhere else to take my business because I would not be paying some outrageous 10% interest with a monthly payment of almost $800 when my down payment was almost half of what the car was worth. Expect a long wait if you go on a busy Saturday, a book to read can be helpful while you wait...I usually just walk to the nearby shopping center to grab a bite as they service my car. Despite everyone telling me not to go to a dealership because they charge exorbitant fees and to go to a local auto shop instead, I brought my car here because they have honest and some of the best advisors. I told myself I'd never come back after getting a $200 'oil change', but I was required to take my 2016 Civic in to a dealership to have my ac assessed for repair. Since Moss is closest to home, I had little choice. I took my car in on July 30th. I finally got my car fixed and picked up today, August 30th! Between 2 rental car stints, multiple phone calls and awful customer service provided, needless to say I'm extremely disappointed with how this repair was handled. I even drove to the dealership for answers because nobody ever called back on my inquiries. I was so pissed off to see my car sitting in the service are with the windows down, so I drove the rental car to the back to see what was going on. That sure did get someone's attention!! Not only was service closed, but not one associate was able to tell me if my car was done. I had to wait until the next day to find out not only was my car not done, but the condenser I was told was 'in' was in fact not in and they didn't know when they'd have one available! 5 days with a rental POS sentra and NOTHING was done! If not for the awesome service and follow up Kat with American Honda provided I'd be totally against ever buying another honda! Even Riverside Honda and Spreen were better on the phone. Yes, I was required to call other locations to find my part. So I go to pick up my car this morning and I can see it with the windows down again!! I asked the service associate (not using his name because he's obviously doing/saying what his service manager Mike approves of) if it's normal to leave the windows down on the cars being serviced. I'm not sure why I was surprised to hear him say, "No." Why did I have to ask to have my car washed? I'd post pictures of the dust inside my car if I could. This review is specifically for the service department...I purchased my 2020 CR-V Hybrid last year (Feb 2021) and I was never offered a single complimentary service at their dealership...like not even oil changes or car washes...nothing. It's literally the bare minimum they should offer with a brand new car purchase..but despite this I tried to make an appointment to get my first oil change and I had called to schedule it. The guy I spoke with at the time was friendly and confirmed with me over the phone that my appointment was set and that I was ready to go. So I go to my "appointment" and after waiting FOREVER to be noticed by any of the customer service reps there, I was finally told that I did NOT have an appointment after all...but the guy was so generous to "squeeze me in" anyways which I was supposed to be impressed with or something. The oil change was done after like 2 1/2 hours and wasn't even comped for it being my first oil change w/ my new car, or me buying a brand new car with them, or waiting for nearly 3 hours for an oil change. They nickel and dime you for EVERYTHING. I've never been to a car dealership that was so stingy with offering complimentary services to its loyal customers.. So now, a few days ago I texted a customer service rep from Moss Bros Honda regarding either upgrading or updating my infotainment center because it's so slow and laggy. I was assured that I would get a call that day from someone to discuss the issue further...I never received a call. So that's done. Now, today I figured I'd call to schedule an oil change because I still had questions about my infotainment center, and after speaking with another guy on the phone he tells me that my appointment is set and he's going to email me a confirmation email (because I told him about what happened last time) and he says, "sure I'll email that right over to you." It's been 8 hours since I called and I have still not received a confirmation email and my appointment is supposed to be for TOMORROW morning. This place is HORRIBLE at communication and they can never seem to get their act together to execute the most mundane tasks in an orderly fashion. I wouldn't bother scheduling service here unless you absolutely have to. I kept coming here because I assumed it was the "best" place to take my new Honda Cr-v to get serviced, but nah they've been consistently letting me down and never offer to make it better. *BEWARE* I came here to get my tire replaced after getting a flat. But had just spent over $1000 on 4 new tires 4 months ago, which I was told was covered under a 2 year warranty. So I brought it in expecting to be able to get it fixed and was told I would owe $254 for the tire and I asked what about the warranty. The guy just told me nope no warranty for a damaged tire, which I didn't believe so I just let him do his thing. I ended up calling Penske Honda, which is originally where I bought the other tires and asked if I had to come to that specific location for the warranty to work, they informed me that it's a Honda wide warranty and can be used at ANY Honda. So I said ok I'm going to go in and tell them that, so I went and talked to another man who was trying to tell me they're not apart of that and the warranty wouldn't work. So I just asked for my car back and made an appt to go to the other Honda. So I'm at the other Honda today, and the woman helping me informed me again that they 100% should have been honoring the warranty and the tire I was trying to get she just got told was only $189 or somewhere in the $159-189 range, soo we were both confused what they were trying to do for me at this location. I'm a woman, and don't know much about car needs but good thing I'm aggressive enough to get answers. So beware of them scamming you for money here! And ASK QUESTIONS/ call other Hondas. I came in for an A/C problem on my Honda Civic SI, it was blowing warmed air. I paid $199 for Freon services. I left and came back like an hour or so after because the A/C was blowing warmed air again. I was told to replace the A/C compressor. Not having over a thousand dollar to pay for the service I declined the service. Thought of driving without A/C but it is summer and too hot. I checked for another place perhaps not to experience and guess? My car had a major leakage very visible when the mechanic check on my car. They repaired the problem for $119. The compressor still kicking, maybe later in the future I need to replace it because of the time it was running without fluid but I have A/C in my car. A good diagnostic would have showed the leaks on my car at Honda Moss. Very disappointed customer. read more

I had an extended warranty and everyone was Sooooo nice, but once it ended I no longer was scheduled with my regular service provider and since then its been all bad. I keep getting someone named Lorenzo who nickles and dimes me, tries to make me get things I know I don't need. I brought my car in with videos showing the problem amongst other problems, $200 and 5 hours later he tells me what I already know and has no idea about the other problems. I kinda feel like I'm being taken advantage of because I must be a "dumb woman" but I know better and have several people to help me navigate car issues. Even today, I have an appointment with my previous service provider for my FREE LIFETIME oil change, but nooo here comes Alonzo again trying to make me pay for a bunch of not needed stuff! As soon as we walked in we were greeted and we had an appointment with Jared Reed who was straight to the point and very accommodating to our requests. He went above and beyond and make sure we were getting the best deal. The manager Jerry was extremely pleasant to work and has an amazing staff. When the service employee is moving my car off the rack an axel brakes..... How am I responsible for the mistakes done while in the service department at Honda MOSS of Moreno Valley??? Where do I start... Took my 2016 Civic in for service on 9/5 and was told it would take approximately one hour (we did have an appointment). Three hours later the tire rotation and oil change were finally finished...yes, it took three times as long as we were told. Very frustrating, but at that point what can you really do??! The next day on 9/6 my tire pressure indicator appears and won't turn off, when I call they tell me to "just bring it by for a reset since we failed to complete the reset at time of service". Oh ok, let me take even more time out of my life so you can fix something that shouldn't even be an issue. This dealership is 20 miles away from my home and employer and only open during my work hours so "just stopping by" requires planning and isn't very convenient. After being out of town for several days I finally make it back to the dealership on 9/16 and the reset took about 5 seconds, he even showed me how to complete it myself next time "in case this happens again". Awesome, easy fix! As I'm pulling out of the driveway my power steering goes out and I can't even leave the dealership. Yes it definitely was the perfect place for this to happen! They take the car back and begin diagnostics to figure out the issue. Monday 9/18 I'm given a rental after they diagnose the issue and order the part which won't be in until Tuesday 9/26. Awesome, I don't have to go without a car! Tuesday 9/26 I receive a call that my car is ready to be picked up. I arrive at 6:50am Wednesday 9/27 to pick up my car but they can't find my key. I wait for almost an hour before they send me on my way (in the rental) while they try to find my key or reprogram a replacement. Eventually the key situation is resolved (they never did find my key but instead programmed a new one) and they deliver the car to my employer which is super amazing customer service but shouldn't even be happening to begin with. The driver who brought my car showed more concern about my experience than anyone else had, he was even apologetic about the key issue when he wasn't ever involved. They didn't wash my car before bringing to back to me. It had obviously been parked outside the entire time it was at the dealership (11 days) and was so filthy I had to take it in for a professional wash that cost me $30. All of the service staff that I dealt with were friendly enough and yes my issues were all eventually resolved but I had to jump through many hoops and experience unnecessary stress before it was all over. And I think my biggest issue was that nobody really seemed to care...they were all just kind of there doing their job/the minimum and not concerned with how I might be feeling or what they could do to make it a better experience for me. I brought my car here for service since it's the dealership I purchased it from but going forward I believe I will try to find another Honda dealership to take my business to...and hopefully they won't lose my keys! read more

Was approved for one loan then was told they forgot to have me sign some papers, but when I came in it was a shock that I actually needed to sign a new loan with higher payment and interest. I traded in a 2020 Jeep on June 4th. Signed paper work and drove off the lot. By June 28th I received a letter from the credit union saying that I had a late payment on my 2020 Jeep. I called Moss Bro. Honda to find out what was happening with my old loan (Jeep) & who I was financed through for the Honda. They blamed the bank and claimed that the bank was taking long periods to process loans. After calling the bank come to find out they had yet to receive my information package from the dealership which was prolonging the process. So needless to say after endless calls to the dealership, voicemails left, no returned calls from the dealership. I was paying for a Jeep that I was not in possession of for a month and a half. I brought my car in for routine maintenance and a battery change; everything went as expected and in a timely fashion. The facility was clean and orderly and all associates I encountered were great. Admittedly, getting my vehicle serviced is not something I look forward to, but I was quite impressed this time around. Gone downhill!!!! I have bought several cars from here and have had great service. This no longer applies. I have been bringing my Honda Pilot in for the Lifetime oil changes since I bought it in 2013. Now, they won't honor the contract unless I pay for more services. I am currently look for a new vehicle and I will definitely will not buy it here. It is really sad that they would treat their reoccurring customers like this. read more

Crappy service. They cannot complete a job. You may be told over the phone the part you need is here; however, you will find out it is not several hours later. Part is still not fixed! Don't trust Alex, nor Tim Honda service department. read more
