Well we stayed here due to the fact that it was last minute and we had a pup with us. And no extra charge for pups. But my goodness, I know why I don't stay in motel 6. Expensive in this city but go 20 miles out towards Lompoc and it is almost 50.00 cheaper. Pretty sure it was expensive because we were so close to Solvang. And that was with AARP discount. Crappy rooms but we were just sleeping anyway. Watched TV on my tablet because we couldn't pull up anything on their TV. Kind of musty smell and darn it not enough water pressure. But the people working there that I interacted with were really nice and pleasant to talk to. The next morning we were packing up gear and headed out. All they offer is what I call dirty coffee. You know comfort inn is the same price with breakfast. Well I tried a motel 6 after 29 years and let's just say " I tried it".

Sheets were dirty which means they weren't changed before we checked in, mold on the bathroom ceiling, heater wasn't working, dirty shower curtain, bathroom light didn't work. I would say you get what you pay for but we paid too much for what we got. This is the first time I don't leave a tip for housekeeping but they're obviously not doing their job.

When you first get to the motel it is very dirty trash everywhere outside.then once you get into the room it is REALLY bad. Dirty everywhere, the pillows and blankets have dirt and are stained, the AC is literally busted, and it smells AWFUL when you first go inside.

Our stay here was sufficient for one night though not as pleasant an experience as we usually have at other Motel 6 locations. Our room which was booked in advance was not ready upon arrival after the 3:00pm listed check-in time. They gave us a room with two beds in order to accommodate us sooner since we weren't really willing to wait. We needed rest and had places to be on this day. A few things worth noting about the room... the TV remote had no power/volume control, it was only connected to dish to change the channels, so although we could press the power button on the TV itself, there were no volume controls on the TV (which was wrapped in a wooden wall console), and since the volume was set a bit too loud, we had no choice but to just turn it off. Temperature control maxed at 74, which is not a big deal in warmer weather, but for colder evenings, this kind of sucks, especially when they only have thin blankets and sheets on the beds. To top it off, there were bugs inside the room, yes crawling insects on the floor and walls... not a lot, but a few is a few too many. I'm not even sure if they were beetles or baby cockroaches, but I just wanted to get outta there. On the plus side, they have a microwave and vending machines on site, near the front desk office. Also, it's only a 6-minute drive to Solvang just down the road (without needing to get back on the freeway), and they charge half the price of most hotels in the area. Still, there were too many annoying inconveniences during our recent stay for me to give anything more than 2 stars.

More like a 2.5. Rooms are clean, but not clean enough for families specifically with upper respiratory concerns. The bathroom vent is bad, and our room had cracks in the sink and needed overhead cleaning. It's nice for construction workers or solo travelers, who made up the majority of guests during our stay. The lighting on the property is better than that of a prison because the white lights pierced in. Costumer service again a 2.5 star rating, bottom line unprofessional both evening and day. Happy with the cost for a one night stay!

Fruit flies. Bed bugs. Flies. Disgusting. If you think you see something crawling from the corner of your eye, you are right, it was an insect. Male employee at front counter was nice and professional, he did give good reviews for California Tacos across the street.

I really don't have any complaints. Room for 2, is 220 military discount. 2 beds full size, TV, phone , shower , tables, sink. Plenty of towels, shower was nice and clean. Check out is 11 am , think check in is at 2 pm. Plenty of parking. Food spots are around us. Ac takes a little while to kick in. Think it is the cheapest hotel around there

The property has a spacious lobby, plenty of outdoor seating with cozy fire pits, a nice swimming pool with a Jacuzzi, and a complimentary breakfast served daily from 6:00 to 10:00 a.m. One of our favorite features was the peaceful setting. Behind the hotel is a small hillside, which gives the property a quiet, secluded feel surrounded by nature. In the evenings, we loved relaxing by the fire pits, enjoying takeout dinner paired with some local wines. The pool area was well maintained, with plenty of fresh towels and ample lounge chairs. The complimentary breakfast had a good variety of options, including bread, omelets, pancakes, yogurt, cereal, muffins, oatmeal, and fresh coffee. They also offer a 24/7 coffee station in the lobby along with complimentary apples, which was a nice touch. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The bed was very cozy, and the hotel was quiet at night, making it easy to get a good night's sleep. There's also a great brewery nearby that's worth checking out for good food and drinks. If you're planning to visit Solvang and Santa Barbara, I would definitely recommend staying here.

I typically try to stay at Hilton properties when I travel as much as I can. This location is very clean, has a modern feel and it seems remodeled recently, the staff is very friendly as well. Hampton Inn & Suites also give you a nice complementary breakfast and free parking, this is a great value. My room was very nice, clean, modern style. The rooms come with a mini fridge, coffee maker as well as a microwave, everything you need. The bed and pillows are comfy, the bathroom is nice and large with a full glass shower. This property also has a small Business center, a nice lobby, a pantry for snacks and misc. items. They also have a great gym here, which is a big plus in my book. They have a Precor FTS glide multi function weight machine as well as free weights, treadmills, elliptical machines and a Peloton bike. The only thing that I would improve here is adding a second bench so if there are more than one person trying to use it, other than that a great gym and have all you need for a great workout. Next time I am in the area, I will for sure be staying here once again, great property. Enjoy!

One unique thing I noticed at this Marriott hotel was that the room had Febreze Car Clip Air Fresheners attached to the AC vents. I've never seen this at any other hotel. I'm not sure if this is standard practice at this hotel or if it was added to this particular room because the previous guest smoked in it. And WHY would you hold onto papers that long & why did you not shred it? You should be shredding guest reg. cards & NOT hand out people's personal info in ANY capacity! 2.)
