I have to say that this motel was very comfortable. The rooms are updated and well maintained. The people working there are warm and friendly. I've stayed at a couple other motels in the area that are in this price range, but were not as nice. Only downside was that there was no coffee in the room (maybe due to the virus). Booked a one night stay in Glendale based on reviews on Agoda. Surprising very pleasant stay and fair pricing for no frills lodging. Our room (2 queen beds) was simple yet comfortable. It had all that we needed, water boiler, fridge and microwave. I like the fact that there was no carpet, making the room that much cleaner. Cleanliess is definitely 10/10. Rolling gate to enter and exit is a plus for added safety for rooms and vehicles. Would stay again and would recommend. read more

The first time I called the motel, I was a little surprised to speak with a woman who was very abrupt so I initially thought she was being rude. However, when I stayed at the motel, I met the same lady and she's really nice in person. Over the phone, I believe it's just a language barrier and the fact that the motel always has rooms available. For the price, this place is very clean! It's located in a convenient spot and the staff is very accommodating! It's not fancy, but it has the basic necessities along with free wifi and cable. I came on 7/8-7/9 and wow I must say this has been the nicest place I've been to in the area! The front desk (I didn't get the ladies name) is so super nice and friendly! They make you feel so comfortable and welcomed! Room was amazing too. Very clean and beautifully organized and decorated. I was so surprised to see that there was a fridge and a microwave too! Shower stayed warm the whole time and I was more than happy and pleased with my stay here! I will definitely be coming backs i came because I had to take the state board exam so if you're looking for a nearby, affordable, and clean place to stay, come here! You will not regret it! I was supposed to stay until 7/10 but I had an emergency come up and had to leave a day early unfortunately, but I'm so blessed that the front desk was very understanding and accommodating. Excellent experience! Our odd schedule constraints required driving from SF to LA overnight for an early Sunday family function. Made a reservation, informing the owner (yes, she is Japanese) that we wouldn't be arriving until 1-2 AM Sunday. When we arrived we rang the bell and checked in smoothly. The establishment and neighborhood were quiet (well, it was 2AM), the neighborhood felt safe, and business must be good since the ample parking lot was nearly full. The room was absolutely immaculate! It was hard to believe anyone had ever used it previously. Perhaps the motel has been doing some refurbishment -- noticed a few odd items of room furniture in alcoves off the corridor -- but our room was large, with spartan but adequate furnishing. Refrigerator, free TV (which we didn't try), and WiFi included. The only glitch in our 5.5 hour stay was the WiFi. The desk had scribbled the password longhand on our receipt, and perhaps it was mistaken, but I couldn't get the password accepted. (It appeared to be a typical Cisco hotel Wifi setup.) The WiFi wasn't important enough to bother resolving (compared instead to getting a couple hours sleep) but if you need WiFi make sure you get correct details. A couple blocks off the highway, but access is quick and easy. Highly recommended for a low/moderate-cost motel. read more

Made 2 night reservation about 10 days before needing to go down to nearby University Hosp for husbands surgery and from the initial phone call to the motel direct was treated with such kindness and a very helpful suggestions for our needed stay. Unfortunately during my husbands surgery he had to be taken to intensive care in critical condition. This lead to 5 more nights and extra rooms needed for family. They were so wonderful and accommodating I just can't even express in words the caring and consideration they took for us, even though we had to change rooms a day they were above and beyond with late arrivals and late departures. Easy back and forth to USC Keck Hospital Verdugo Hills . The rooms and grounds were always clean, the maid service great we have traveled back and forth to USC Hospital over the years but now they will always be our go to place in Glendale. I stayed here for an exam I had to take in Glendale. The pictures on their site does not do the room any justice at all. I was very impressed by how chic and modern the room was. It was also very clean. When I walked in I immediately got a whiff of Japanese cherry blossom. I'm not sure if that was intentional but the room smelled lovely, everything was very clean. Normally I hate staying in motels because they're usually not that clean looking. But this place was very comfortable. Its also within walking distance from restaurants which is a plus. The woman who works front desk was also very sweet, and made me feel welcomed. They have really good customer service. If I'm ever in the area and need a room I'd definitely book with them again. read more

Stayed here for a week straight and I thought it was good until I woke up with bites on my back. I didn't know if it was a spider or bed bugs so I continued to stay there . The next day I'm on the bed I see a big bed bug crawling around me. They had just remodeled my room and she claimed the bed was new. I had to tell her that she didn't know how to treat her guests and allow them to gather their belongings reassuringly before leaving the motel. We've stayed almost for 2 weeks here and we really liked the place. Yes, It's not a 5-star hotel, but really comfortable and nice. Alex (staff person) is super friendly and helpful, every our question was solved quick and in a friendly manner. We were searching for an apartment and every morning we checked out, and returned to Sakura in the evening. After a couple of days I could just call Alex and ask to keep our room for us and he will do it. Rooms are big. We've seen 3 rooms. No signs of bed bugs. No signs of cockroaches. Bed is not the firmest but still firm, pillows are supportive and nice. Not all rooms equal, but all are clean and nice. There is a cable TV, fridge, hair dryer, AC. Carpet is clean! Lot's of towels. Nice view out of a window. Neighbourhood is quiet. Ralphs is only a minute walk away, all major shops and food places are nearby. Parking is free, there always is a free space. Neighbours are nice people, lots of families with children. No junkies, alcoholics or other weirdos. The only downsides are a little sketchy WIFI (but it's free anyway) and no extended stay rate. If you need a nice place to stay - look no further. read more

It's a bit hard to notice this place while driving. But once you get there, you'll want to compare for yourself with other motels near by as the overall quality for a motel is good or better than those that are near by. I think many of the motels with AAA ratings (of 1 or 2 stars) are just bogus--they just collect membership from merchants to get a listing in their book for a fee and claim that they are better-(getting a rating for a fee--what a trustworthy and reliable system) This one doesn't have it, but the place is quite comparable to those that are listed. The room I stayed in had fairly new carpet, and quite spacious. Cables are include with fridge and showers are quite roomy too. The managers are responsive and courteous. The rates here were competitive with others around. Give it a look when you're in the area. You might like it. Parking is spacious and well lit. Felt safe staying. read more

Had a gr8 time @ this motel. The room was clean, the maids were helpful, friendly & courteous. Management was also helpful & friendly. All the complimentary coffee you want with a variety of K cup labels. Noticed the maids actually washed the comforters for the new incoming customers. Five stars i give doesnt mean that its a five star hotel but it was a great choice and worked out perfectly for us.. We searched for a cheap/clean motel around LA area and found this place on Yelp, first hesitated because of the three stars but thought we d give it a try. We were 4 and got a room with two queen size beds. They didnt mind or try to charge extra $$ for 2 ppl like most other places do. The room had a mini fridge, AC, hair dryer, clean towels and a tv. It was nice and clean. I guess the beds are new and they didnt remove the plastic wrap around them so its kinda noisy. We arrived around 10 pm and left around 8am so we just were well rested before we started driving again.We paid 83$/night which was a Wednesday night. I d stay here again if i need a motel around the area next time.. read more

Love the staff, perfect location if you're going to Universal Studios. I picked up my son from Burbank airport so he can spend the weekend with us and it was a short easy drive. Drove out from AZ, my room was clean and ready, I asked for a rollaway bed and it was set up for us. Easy check in and if you like coffee there is a Starbucks within walking distance, you can also walk to Ralph's if you don't want to drive. read more

If you just need a cheap place to rest then you should go here. Me and my friends went here about 2 years ago we had a great time because commuting to disney and universal studios was fast compared to other hotels and motels. hotels near disney are super pricey so this was a good place to stay at. beds were also super comfty. Only downside was it didn't have a microwave and had to pay for wifi and it's only linked up to 3 devices. all in all i like this motel. Will probably go back this year when i'm visiting family members. read more

This place was quite an adventure, in addition to the adventure I was on. There's no need to go out for entertainment... just head to the lobby and talk to the VERY angry Asian woman that works the front desk. If you laugh at her anger over the sky being blue, it will rile her up even more. Seriously, I cannot stress enough how angry she is and how laughable it is. Any requests, criticisms, inquiries directed towards her will result in something along the lines of a 3 year old's angriest tantrum. I took the time to laugh and remind her life isn't that bad and she should just laugh and smile... she didn't like that so much and it wound her up like the tazmanian devil ;) have fun... she can go for hours. The younger gentleman that works there, however, is quite pleasant and helpful. USE CASH!!! Their credit card system is about as antique as the lady at the front desk so what happens is that they place the hold on the funds on your card and they close it out upon check out, however, if they don't remember or forget to release the hold from the original verification hold, it will come off as them charging your card twice until you request a release directly from your card company. So here is a quick run down of the rest: - we didn't see a single bug and nothing bit us in bed. I checked like a bedbug hunter and there were no signs of roaches at all. - really spotty wifi but it is free. - bed was ok, but you should bring your own pillows as their's are pretty basic - huge tv with a good cable selection - everything is pretty much falling apart around the furniture... exposed wires where the smoke detector should have been, ceiling over shower was cracked and peeling exposing mold, mystery stains and splatters on the walls, door handle looks like someone pried at it at some point and you couldn't use the additional security lock, carpets were pretty torn up and felt dirty, bathroom floor had really strange 'burn' marks all over the very old linoleum that they apparently took from my grandma's kitchen in the 1970's. - has a decent fridge, but you'll need to request the microwave and coffee maker (which the gentleman at the front was quick and accommodating with) - VERY thin walls so you can hear every shower, every toilet flush, every conversation, every really giggly barely legal super excited 21 year old girl and snore around you. For more entertainment, we exaggerated our sex noises... it seemed to quiet all the rooms around us down until we were done. - Free all in one soap dispenser in the shower like they have in jail (from what I've been told :P) Overall, the place is charging too much. Right across the street is a much more upgraded motel for 20 bucks less a night. We were paying $82 on a Monday and Tuesday night. It's really not worth it for what you're getting. For that price you can go down the street to the Chariot Inn and have a REALLY good room with all the perks. If you're just out of options and are looking for a place to crash for a night or a really dingy place to get your groove on for the night... it works I suppose. ;) read more

You know the saying- you get what you pay for? Well, you get a little more with this motel. We usually steer clear of motels, but since we needed something for a quick overnight stay. We booked the King Suite. The pictures are real with the screen tv, fireplace, microwave, mini fridge and bar(sink). Leather like couch and comfy chair, dining set with 2-chairs. The room is separated from living room, with comfy king bed, another screen tv and 2 nice chairs. Tiled bathroom is huge, with double porcelain sinks on granite countertop. Very nice clean room. I won't lie I did check the bed for any bugs. The sheets were very clean. If you need lighting, sufficient amount of lamps and also recessed lighting. Also room darkening curtain. Our view was high school field across the street. We did take a very short walk to Starbucks, saw a Ralph's grocery on way. Just down street is Americana and Glendale Mall as well. I only gave 4 stars they could use new towels. Also, night clerk was a really nice lady when we checked in. She invited us to the coffee that they serve in the lobby starting at 6am. In this area hotels seem to charge an arm and a leg. I feel the price for this King Suite was very, very reasonable. We will stay again if in town next time. I'm sure they may raise the price by that time, but it will still be worth it. read more

I stayed at this motel because of the reviews but we were not impressed. While the motel owners were pleasant, the room we were given had a musty smell and the room was dated and lacked towels. For two people, we were given one hand towel and two bath towels. That's it. Don't think we will stay here when we return to Glendale. read more

Wow... it's actually really nice when you can write an honest to goodness review on a business. So I'm just staying one night. I have some very early morning business in Burbank tomorrow. It's Ike 5 miles from here. I've been in this room maybe 10 minutes and I am impressed. The man at the counter was extremely polite and professional. The room itself.... very clean and fresh smelling (and I have a smoking room). Nice, comfy furniture and very quiet. It also has a microwave and fridge. Your not going to beat the price for the quality you get here. I've spent more on beat down roach motels in L.A. I would highly recommend this place! read more
