I recently got approved for WIC and was very hesitant about where to shop. I recalled driving by this Mother's center in the past and verified in the app this store was part of the program. I was very pleased with my experience, the staff is extremely helpful and friendly and knowledgeable. I was helped by Mr. Jessica, she explained to me as to what I was eligible to purchase under my grocery income. Once at the register she explained about my set groceries i was to receiving and how much of the items I was eligible. Once completed she took my cart to my vehicle. I have been going to this Mother's Nutritional Center in Orange for a few years now because the service from the people there-Taren, Nancy, Ashley, Kevin and others has been excellent. I had horrible and rushed service at the other locations in Santa Ana. So even though it takes me about 35 or 40 minutes to get to this location in Orange and even though they have a much more limited selection of groceries, I have been making the effort to go there because of what USED TO BE the excellent service there. The manager Nancy is currently out on an extended maternity leave, and ALEXIS is in charge of the store. Today I went there, and ALEXIS was the only one at the counter and she was helping a customer with large order. When I arrived, ALEXIS did not even greet me with a hello or any other greeting. Then, Alexis somehow MESSED UP her customer's order and had to go through the entire order by each item again to find her mistakes. Finally, I said Hello to ALEXIS, as it had been over 15 minutes and she had yet to acknowledge my presence in the store. Finally BRIANNA, came out from the back and tried to help me. I had picked out some items, which I put on the counter, which I told her I was going to use my milk credit to partially pay it with. First I did a separate transaction with my MILK CLUB account and used my credit from last month to pay for the milk. Then, I wanted to use the new milk credit to pay for some different items. I was then told by ALEXIS that I did NOT RECEIVE the milk credit because I need to pay for my items using my card. I told ALEXIS that I was not notified or told about this by BRIANNA, and to please void my milk purchase and that I would use my card to get the credit. ALEXIS told me that the transaction COULD NOT BE VOIDED, and that this had happened to other customers also. Since this has happened to multiple other people in the past, I should have been notified by BRIANNA that using my milk credit to purchase milk would NOT ALLOW me to receive ANY MILK CREDIT. I was very upset that I drove all this way for HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, and now on top of all that, I was NOT GETTING my milk credit. The CUSTOMER SERVICE has GONE DOWN THE DRAIN here, and I will not be coming here at all in the future. Instead, I invite you to join me in going to your local Trader Joe's where the customer service is always excellent and it only costs $1.49 for a quart of milk, of any variety- even whole or low fat milk. read more

I've been coming to this location for about a year now and progressively it has gotten worse. On multiple occasions, Ive arrived to pick up the last of my WIC benefits and the over head music is extremely loud to a point I can't hear the cashier speak and wakes my infant son. I'm unsure whom manages this location however, it's clear as day that most of the employees are much more concerned about their own personal life's then attending the customers. My opinion is if you don't want to properly welcome your guest then maybe customer service isn't for you. Today was the worse of all, the music was so loud that the attendant could not hear me SHOUT HELLO. It got to a point where I had to walk to the back of the stock room and advise her I was waiting. In closing, I hope corporate gets wind of this review and makes adjustments to this location. This was to be my favorite store however, sadly I will be looking elsewhere. read more

Today was our first visit to this lovely store. There are so many nice things to say, but THANK YOU is what we really want to say. The entire team was perfect and please accept my apology, but we only got the name of Nancy who helped us to our car and Tarren who happened to be walking back into the store and I asked her name. BUT, please know all your employees were super super super. They paid special attention to EVERY customer --- not just us. The entire store had an energy of positivity and happiness. Let's face it, we're all going through difficult time --- yet the place was happy. That is a good sign. We will definitely make the drive again to your store --- your items are fresh, yummy, and super clean. I hope you will read this review and share it with the team at this store on Chapman street. Ive been coming to this location for at least 11 years. We see workers come and go, we love their service. Always attentive, helpful and sweet. My family and I love the fresh produces here. Nancy and Alexis always been helpful, they do take the initiative to contact their supervisor when Ive questions on the formula coupons. It was my first time at any Mothers location and the store was very well maintained and organized. Fruits and vegetables were fresh. Staff was also very helpful and kind. I love coming here! The girls are always so helpful and nice. At times, it can get a little crowded for such a small space, but their customer service makes it worth it. With the formula shortages at the beginning of the month, it made it a lot easier to grab a can or two from here. I've never had a bag experience coming here. read more

Mother's Nutritional Center in the city of Orange deserves this review and beyond 5 stars ! Each and every time I come to this store ( with my 90 yr old Mother), I am greeted with super friendly smiles and just plain fun energy by Nancy, Alexis, and / or Taryn (depending who is working that day). They make the ambiance very inviting & comfortable. I notice the product quality @ this store is consistently outstanding- the fruits & vegetables & entire inventory & shelves are always neat, sufficiently stocked, & displayed (esp. the ones facing the window) infront of the store, & plentiful. The prices are fair & transparent - definitely value for one's money. When I had asked Nancy about the CA fresh fruits / vegetables incentive program, she notified me, as promised of when it started @ the store; & that was 2 mo. later since we had last spoken about it. Needles to say, I was impressed that she remembered and contacted me. In addition, it seems like participants appreciate the program, but lack awareness & therefore it is underutilized. Nancy, Alexis, and Taryn, all of you always take the time to answer my questions. Taryn, from the start, you have provided amazing customer service & taking the time to take my groceries to my car- You are so helpful, each and every single time. Thank you all for all you do ! As a pregnant mom of two (one toddler and one 9 year old) this store saves me time and makes it so easy to get some of my WIC benefits and grocery's I need in general. The cashiers are always so friendly and helpful. I love that they help load my groceries in the car! Even if they are busy they always notice you come in the store and try their best to be attentive to their customers. I highly recommend if you are a busy mom to stop by and get some quick groceries you might need. read more

I don't leave many yelp reviews, but I am truly so thankful for this store! Having moved here from out of state I cannot say how much I appreciated having one store that takes care of all my WIC needs. And with a large family, especially in the current health climate, being able to get all of these essentials in one place quickly is a huge blessing! That in and of itself, though, would not be enough to warrant a review from me. What puts this store into the "exceptional" category is the wonderful customer service. Jackie and Nancy are first class employees and epitomize excellent customer care. They greet me every time and know not only my name, but the names of many of my children. They are friendly, ask how we are doing with genuine care, help me navigate my WIC purchases, and I honestly look forward to going into their store and seeing these two employees.
