Stopped by for lunch on a weekday, they have a lunch special that really cannot be beat. $10 for 2 samosas, a drink, and either 2 tacos, a personal pizza, or a bowl. Extra cost for specialty drinks like the lassi and for Korean BBQ. Regardless a great price for all the food you get! Place you order at the counter and they bring it out to you, but utensils and water are at the counter. It's a little mix of self-serve but also they serve you. But it worked. Some of our items took longer to come out than others (they forgot about one of the dishes), so I might not come in a time crunch, but the food was all delicious. You can definitely tell it was made with care. And although we didn't get dessert they have plenty of paletas and ice cream options! The place is clean and neat, decor is super bright and cute. We had always walked by this restaurant, but never thought about going in until I saw a Yelp Elite friend review pop up. Parking is a bit challenging in this strip mall, especially during a lunch time hour so expect to walk a little bit. Going in we were surprised to see the very reasonable prices for lunch. We had to ring the bell for assistance, but that gave us more time to decide upon what we wanted to order. We ended up trying one of each of the tacos (four of them) and kimchi fries. No fancy plating, you pick up your own paper plate and plastic utensils. You also just get your own water out of a water jug, but it's all good - I definitely don't mind the self serve. Everything we had was very tasty and very filling. The Korean taco was a little bit too salty for my preference but my husband enjoyed it, my favorite was definitely the samosa taco (wished I had a second one!). The Kimchi fries were an interesting take and very filling... but definitely hard to stop eating those once you start. Easy ordering and nice friendly counter attendant. I've been waiting on my review for Moti... I've been there a total of 3 times and I wanted to mix up the experience! Moti is like, snack casual. It's the perfect portion on your way to the party... or just coming out of one. It's counter service and the tables/booths are pastel cute and the whole environment is clean and tidy. I haven't had the opportunity to hit their lunch menu yet, but the pricing looks very competitive! Fusion is their thing - mixing Indian flavors on to different food mediums, like pizzas, tacos, dumplins, fries, etc. The flavors are all cranked to 11 - each bite sneaking yet another taste onto your palate. There's also a lot of variety so there's sure to be a flavor that'll appeal to everyone. Located in a very busy center where parking can be limited. Went on a Saturday for lunch and surprisingly we were the only people in the place. The staff is very friendly and offers explanations on the various food flavors. I ordered the Firecracker Masala Pizza which had Tikka Masala sauce ,cheese,jalapenos and Moti Firecracker sauce. I chose chicken as my protein. The thin crust was cooked to perfection but I would have liked more chicken and less jalapenos as they overpowered the overall taste. You will not regret Indian food on a taco! Moti takes traditional Asian flavors and puts them on a pizza or a taco. It's unique and delicious! Three tacos was more than I was able to eat for lunch. (I ate two.) But if you order the three tacos, you can get them in three different flavors. The Korean beef taco is my favorite, but they're all really good, so it's worth trying as many as you can. So the last time I came, they didn't have the Momo's. They area steamed dumpling and come is a variety of different preparations. I chose the sweet chili Momo's. It's a dumpling (chicken or veggie) drizzled with sweet chili sauce and topped with green peppers, onions and crispy onions. I also ordered my go to samosa pizza served on naan bread. So so so good. The service is pretty good as everything is made to order. The only gripe I may have is that the servers for the Moti side are the same as the ones for the La Michoacana ice cream side so if there's a massive desire for ice cream on a hot day, service fo4 the Moti side won't be as quick. Regardless, I love this place and the choices they offer. It's a great addition to the neighborhood and love how they keep on changing things up so the menu is never stagnant. Stopped by for an early dinner on Sunday afternoon and the parking lot was packed due to the buzz of nearby businesses but when I walked in I was greeted with a friendly smile. She was able to walk me through the menu and make suggestions for me to try. I ended up ordering the Korean bbq pizza and three tacos. The Korean bbq taco, tikka masala taco and the samosa smack taco. Can't forget the mango lassi to wrap it all up! The interior was filled with vibrant colors of blues pinks and yellows with color changing lights. There was plenty of seat options including booths and tables. The Korean bbq pizza had an incredible crust and the sauce was where all the flavors come in. From the sweetness of the caramelized onions with a light kick from the sauce each bite was super flavorful and made you want to pick up another slice. The Korean bbq taco was no different, except in taco form there was rice in replacement of the crust. Which actually ended up being my favorite taco because it had the crispy onions on to for the extra crunch. The tikka masala taco came with a firey punch (mainly because I'm sensitive to heat) but the sauce on top really tied it all together. The last taco was the samosa smash, this was my 2nd favorite taco.. the best way I can describe the taco is like a falafel flavor but better! The smoothness but also crunch with the taco was delicious. Don't debate the mango lassi, just get it! You certainly won't regret it! Great tasting Indian fusion cuisine. I've tried Moti earlier before on a sampler of their dishes on a yelp event. I came away quite impressed with the food and was eager to bring the rest of the family to try the food. My kids are really into Indian cuisine and this was a format that they're familiar with, pizza, tacos and dumplings. I asked about the spice level as their menu had a chili pepper on fire to denote that the fish is particularly spicy. Apparently the other dishes are to be "mild". If you have any aversion to spice...be careful. We only ordered non-fire chili pepper menu items and two of the three were without a doubt a decent level of heat. My kids could handle some spice maybe a level 1, so I ordered with the thought that mild was actually a bit spicy. The only dish without heat and what I would call mild was the 'plain momo's. Samosa smash was a good topping for the pizza. It has all the flavor you'd expect in a samosa including the green chutney. I think the chutney is where the heat actually was (hard to tell after a few bites). For myself it was a good level of heat. The momo's is like Xiao long bao, apparently it had some soup according to my kiddies and they proceeded to drink it like a Xiao long bao. By far their favorite fish and I would say that it was my favorite as well. The Tikka taco was hefty, very considerable. I think I'd definitely be full on just two of these. Good flavor, classic tikka but the spice level was again a bit high. We arriving in about 5pm on a Sunday, not too busy. When the pizza arrived they had a pizza stand that occupied a good amount of space, I was trying to help clear the table of the momo platter but the server just left without taking the finished platter. If that was the expectation, should have just picked up the pizza at the counter and bring it over myself I thought. I really like Moti's food. Just think they could polish up the service and perhaps put a heat level chart on the menu vs just the fire chili pepper icons. If someone was to actually ask about spice level I'd hope the kitchen would be able to adjust - or maybe not, and I'd say not too much kid friendly spice levels. read more

My wife came across this restaurant while performing a search on Yelp and informed me about it. So, for Super Bowl Sunday, I did a dinner takeout from here as I wanted to try their Indian-style pizza. I ordered a 12" Chicken Tikka pizza to go. Their Chicken Tikka pizza is made with Tikka base sauce, green peppers, onions, mozzarella, garlic seasoning, Moti & Cilantro Lime sauces. They have other varieties of pizza as well (e.g., Paneer Tikka, Korean Bulgogi, Elotes, etc.). Their pizzas come in two sizes - a personal Naan pizza and a 12" pizza. The pizza was flavorful and delicious. My wife and I enjoyed it. They had given a couple of sauces to go with the pizza (kind of like Sarpino's) which were good too (I forget what kind of sauces they were). The sauces complemented the taste of the pizza. The pizza had a good kick to it. I liked it a lot. Moti also has other eats on their menu like fusion tacos (the same variety as their pizzas), loaded fries, samosa chaat, etc and they also serve La Michocana ice cream. When I went to pick up my pizza, the restaurant was busy. The dining area was packed. That was a good sight. I like it when restaurants that serve good food, do well. We ordered some tacos (bulgogi & chicken) as well as chicken momos, and paneer tikka pizza. Chicken momos were pretty standard. The bulgogi tacos were very unique, but a bit greasy. And by greasy I mean the oil ran down my hands and bathed 3 napkins. Delicious? Yes. Greasy? Also yes. The pizza - came out piping hot. We had to cut with knife & fork at first. The pizza dough was perfect. A bit fluffy but still pizza crust. Cheesy in a nice way, and the sauce was great. Ate too quickly to get a decent picture of anything but the tacos! We saw this place next to Joong Boo and knew we had to try it. We were extra delighted to see that there's also a La Michoacana inside because we've been frequenting our local Michoacana for years. That said, I can't account for the Michoacana here because we didn't try it. Looks to be on par with all the others out there, though. Now as far as Moti goes, the food was great! We ordered the tikka momos, kimchi fries, samosa chaat, firecracker masala pizza, and a personal sized Korean bbq pizza. While we waited for our food, we were also given a personal elote pizza at no charge. I'm assuming there was some issue with someone else's order, so it was just gonna go to waste, and since we were the only ones there at the time, we were given the free pizza. My favorite item was probably the momos. The sauce was mildly spicy, and the flavor was reminiscent of the momos I used to eat when I lived in Nepal. Everything else was good too, and I actually like the free elote pizza we got the best out of all the pizzas, but I think in the future, we'll just get one or two items. Each dish has a ton of flavor, and one flavor doesn't always go with the next, so it's hard to go from eating one thing to another without first feeling like you need to cleanse the palate or worrying if your stomach is gonna tolerate all these flavors at once. We ended up taking a lot of the food home for that reason. I'm taking one star off here is for two reasons. First, when we walked in, there was no one behind the counters for some time. We were the only ones there, so it just felt sort of abandoned when we came in, and we weren't sure if they were open, even though we were inside. Of course, I can understand not having someone up front when there's no one in the business and due to staffing issues, but I felt like someone should have come out to acknowledge us when we walked in, even if only to tell us they'll be right with us. One guy did eventually come up from the back to do something up front, but then he just went back to the kitchen area without saying anything to us. Eventually, a different guy came out to take our order, and he was real nice. No issues there. The other reason I'm taking off a star is because, as some others have posted, the spice level is a bit misleading. My fiance is a spice guy and can handle a higher level of heat than the average person, but when he asked what kind of heat was on the firecracker pizza, I feel like the answer was underplayed. He couldn't have any more than 2 slices, and he's a big guy who probably could've eaten 75% of that pizza (or more) if it weren't for the spice. He couldn't really enjoy much of anything else either because of the heat from the peppers on the pizza. I didn't even attempt trying. Of note, prices were a little inflated, but during these inflation times, it also felt kind of normal. Overall, I really liked Moti and am glad we tried it. The only thing is, I'm usually only out that way to shop at Joong Boo, and one is set to open closer to where I live, so I'm not sure I'd make the drive just to hit up Moti. That said, if you DO live out by Moti, definitely go try it. It's unique and delicious. Also a bonus that you get to support a locally-owned business. read more

This Moti Cafe was connected with a La Michoacana, which is an ice cream shop. I've never been to either so having the ability to visit both with one stop was a once in a life time opportunity! The atmosphere is wide open, welcoming and comfortable. The menus are on two different walls, which was my only small issue. There are plenty of options to choose from. I don't think you can go wrong with what you pick though. The staff is super friendly and helpful and they would gladly recommend their favorites if the menu is overwhelming. I had a Tika pizza which is basically chicken with Indian herbs and spices. The Korean Bbq taco was also great. They have dumplings which were my favorite. They are called Momos. We have been here before trying a lot of their dishes. This time we went and ordered 3 different things. Even though some of the items are not listed as spicy there is a bit of heat that is in the dish. The tacos and pizza we had were a bit spicy for those that couldn't handle it so of the items we got, only the momos were able to be eaten. The tacos I think are my favorite here at Moti after trying many of their items. Any of the flavors are good too. This time we got the chicken Tikka tacos. The seating area had a lot of tables that either had empty plates and trays on it or were not cleaned off with crumbs. Stopped by multiple times after writing my initial review! Absolutely love their Naan Pizza's and have gotten them every time I've visited. A perfect little meal with amazing flavors. I still have yet to try their other menu items because I just crave their naan pizza haha. On my most recent visit here, I had ordered one 6" Korean BBQ naan slice and one 8" Palak Paneer naan slice. ~15 minutes after we got our food and already well into our meal, the server came up to our table and handed us another pizza, saying they had in fact made me a 6" Palak Paneer slice instead of the 8" that I payed for. I honestly would have not known that it was a 6" and not an 8", but I really appreciate their honestly and their willingness to correct their mistake! My wife and I were looking for a different type of place to dine at. After looking and looking, Moti Cafe popped up. Glad it did and glad we took the time to head down there. The young lady at the counter was really helpful. Our orders were quick to arrive minus our loaded fries. Our loaded fries for some reason took 15 mins. I think it may have been due to confusion as we originally asked for loaded nachos but they were out of tortilla chips. Regardless the loaded fries were one of the best we had. Decided to go with 3, 6-inch pizzas; chicken Tikka pizza, elotes pizza, and the samosa pizza. We also ordered a chicken Tikka taco and a samosa chat taco. Chat is an Indian street food. We did get sauces on the side as we were told they are spicy. I have to say, I enjoyed every item!!! I'm not sure I can pick a favorite from the pizzas, they were all delish. I saw this place mentioned on TikTok and made a note that we had to try it. It's about an hour drive out to Glenview, but my husband was totally on board. I was thrilled that they had a 6" Naan option so we didn't have to get an entire pizza. We got the Elote Naan Pizza and the Tikka Paneer. They were both delicious, but we both preferred the Elote. I also got a Samosa Smash taco; it was ok but a bit spicy for my tastes. I recently tried Moti Cafe after a family member recommended the place. We tried a little of everything, we ordered kimchi fries, chicken tikka pizza, sweet chili momos (with sauce on the side), and 3 assorted tacos (Samosa Smash Taco, Butter Masala Paneer Taco, and Korean beef bulgogi taco). I must say, all of the food was really good, but the star of the show would be the chicken tikka pizza. I originally ordered a personal size to try, and ended up ordering a second chicken tikka pizza. Lol And I also got seconds of the mango lassis. The service was excellent, the cashier took the time to explain the menu to us, and she gave her recommendation to try. She was even nice enough to give us free ice cream at the end. Inside the restaurant is super cute and trendy. They have plenty of room for seating and even a little place to take photos. I would definitely be going back. Had a great experience! We're vegetarian and loved all three of the naan pizzas and our favorite, the Paneer Tikka Tacos! On a really positive note on service, my dad found something really spicy and the team made sure he was taken care of with a taste of their ice cream. read more
