Got more for my trade in also. When I went back to try and get the gap. I got 3 different responses on who to talk to. Just seemed like they didn't want to help. They never contacted the Vallejo dealer after I told them I have warranty on my transmission 3 weeks for them to answer the phone. Never available to take my calls! Picked up my Yukon and took it to the gmc dealer in Vallejo and they didn't charge me a dime plus offered me a rental. Bakersfield motor city gmc advisor was too lazy to even contact the other dealer about my transmission. Since I received a comped oil service from Motor City Buick GMC earlier this year, which was authorized by Emmanuel, I have had so many issues with my 2017 GMC Terrain. Aft we r the compes service my vehicle had no oil or very little and started to present a knocking sound. I was on my way home and I stopped at ARCO on Oak & California because the sound and vibration was so prominent. I checked the my vehicle and found it had no oil or so low none was on the stick. I put oil in and took it Motor City asap. Although, I put a quartof oil in the vehicle it was still low and after a thorough diagnostic by Motor City no leaks were found, but I now need two repairs that appear to be due to the retaliation during the comped oil change. The sound went away some, but the performance of my vehicle has declined. Because of the poor service and comped oil change I had to make repairs prior to my vehicle and now they are repairing motor mounts. I keep my vehicle maintained and was not until the comped oil chnge did me awesome car started having severe having all of the intermal and external mechanical concerns. I asked to speak with the GM of Motor City and have yet to hear back. One of repairs was completed, but the poor performance & sound continued. I am now having to replace motor mounts, but the tech is saying there is no correlation. I disagree. I disagree. I have had no real problems w with my Terrain until now. Im so angry and disappointed about this whol process!!!! I have been a customer for over 15 years!!!! read more

I've bought six or seven different vehicles from Motor City Buick. They must be doing something right if I keep going back to them ha ha. This last time I went was for their service department. They are fast and efficient and if they say they need to keep your car it's for a very good reason. I had three different things not working properly on my 2019 GMC and they did research and made sure all of it was covered under warranty. I really appreciate that. I have used their oil change in the past and now they have a quick service department set up for when you first turn off of Weibel and it's very efficient and makes things go much faster. read more

I had a scheduled appointment for service; however, despite this, my vehicle was not addressed in a timely manner and experienced a delay of two full days. This was both unexpected and highly inconvenient, particularly given that appointments are intended to ensure efficient and prioritized service. In addition, the cost of a car rental, for technically nothing, and the lack of communication regarding the delay further added to my frustration. In addition, I was surprised by the high cost associated with the diagnostic service. While I understand that diagnostic evaluations require time and expertise, the charge felt excessive, especially in light of the extended delay and overall experience. Any one who helps innocent animals is an automatic person/ company I want to give my business to. It just had to bring in a proof of appraisal and they lied and lowballed me more than $2000 lower than they said they would offer. Fernando Soto and Fernando Maldonado both didn't stick to their word. Made me jump through hoops all over town, waste countless hours at other dealerships for appraisals just for them to not follow through and honor a price. Bought a 2024 GMC Sierra at this dealership a year ago and have come here now twice for service which is last time I'll ever come back. The service department here is completely useless and unqualified to carry out any such tasks. The first time I came here for just a simple oil change, that was it and it took them 7 hours to complete it even though I made an appointment at 7:15am and was the first person here. A simple oil change took them 7 hours to complete and that's literally all they did. The second time I came here today, dreading from the first experience, made an appointment 3 weeks prior and showed up once again early for a recall service that I was told should take 20-30 minutes to complete a a transmission fluid service. Over 6 hours later I finally asked them just to have the truck tightened up and pulled off the line as I wasn't about to wait another minute under the stupidity and lack of experience to do a simple task such as a preventative maintenance. This is the problem with most dealerships but especially this one in Bakersfield here at GMC. No customer service or care about people time around even if your proactive with them in making an appointment is won't matter. You're better off driving out of town to do a service or even purchase a vehicle that will save you TIME, MONEY, and Headaches then coming to this dealership and still will be back in town before this place would ever be done with your service. If I owned this place I would have fired every employee here for the lack of anything other than they can breathe and that's about it as their qualifications. Yelp needs to upgrade to start allowing people leaving businesses with a negative review because this place is far from even a one star review. Do not waste your time or money with this sorry excuse of a dealership, it's nothing but headaches, run around and inexperience across the board. read more

Our salesmen Greg Fontes spoke to us and bonded with us for 10 minutes before he even started talking about the cars. Buy the time we where said and done we had looked at over 5 different vehicles and had been there for 4 hours discussing the differences. We chose the standard size Yukon because we thought it would work best for our family. Only thing missing was our tires for the car unfortunately. Over the next two days he found our tires and was willing to deliver it the day our baby was able to go home to the hospital. Carlos in sales is top notch! Unfortunately, I can't say the same about the service department. Even if you book an appointment for first thing in the morning, be prepared for a long wait. It's disturbing the amount of GMC vehicles that are in need of repair. The electrical department is consistently booking at least two weeks out and will most likely keep your vehicle for at least week. During that time, it will sit for days before they get to it. If you need a loaner...good luck. Because of the high amounts of vehicles being serviced, there aren't loaners available most of the time. DO NOT RENT YOUR ON CAR! My "advisor" told me I could rent a car and my warranty would cover it. What he failed to mention was the all the catch 22s involved. I turned it my receipts to my "advisor" and for 2 MONTHS he lied about submitting my reimbursements. He even went as far as to place follow up calls to me regarding the status KNOWING he never submitted anything. I finally went to the stealership to find out what was going on and that's when I learned that he hadn't done anything. The clerk then told me that I would likely get a fraction of what I paid out but to call GM for a better resolution. GM informed me that they won't take action because the reimbursements are past 30 days. I called and left a message for the COO and GM and never received a call back. GM has filed a dealer complaint and they still haven't responded. I'd never buy another vehicle that has to be serviced by this dealership! read more

I went in with a pre-approval letter to which the salesman said he had a bank that could beat my rate. I agreed to have one inquiry to the one bank. Without my consent or knowledge, this dealership ran inquiries through four other banks...so far. They asked me if I would let them run my credit through another bank and (with a witness) I said no. It was probably to cover up that they already took the liberty of doing it. I got home to find emails from the credit bureaus with unauthorized inquiries....and I never signed a loan application or consent to run my credit in the first place. Absolutely worst customer service! They promote buying an extended warranty when purchasing a vehicle from them. I bought my vehicle 10/2021 , took it back to them 12/2021 with steering problems and a noise in the front passenger area and rough idle. Over a week later they inform me no problems the rough idle is normal. Now March of 2022 I take it back same complaints they tell me I need motor mounts once again out my vehicle over a week. ( problem still very present, even worse.) Now January 2023 same problem ...over a week at MC they finally dx the issue bad lifters, But they refuse to pay for my rental due to procedure( I completely understand if it was the 1st time.) Still having to pay for my loan on the vehicle along with a rental Now over 1k out. Still waiting for my rental to be reimbursed. Called in on 12/16/21 to schedule a service appointment and the earliest they could schedule was 1/4/22 @ 7:45AM. On 1/4/22 I Checked the truck in and got an uber home. Upon returning at 3:14PM to grab something out of the truck I was taken to the back lot. The truck had a mat and seat cover, I figured diagnostics have been completed and was waiting on parts? I return the following afternoon on 1/5/22 to discover from another advisor that my truck has not even been looked at, they checked it in and drove it straight to the back lot. At this point i am not sure what a "scheduled appointment" is ? The truck was in the back lot for over 28 hours with nothing done to it. Needless to say i pulled the truck out of service on 1/5/22 as it can sit just as good at my house as it does in the back lot. On April 12, 2023, I purchased a new Yukon XL Denali from Motor City Buick GMC. The buying process started by contacting Jay Ramos, a salesperson at Motor City Buick GMC, on April 4, 2023. It was communicated and confirmed by the salesperson, Jay Ramos, and the dealer's financing department manager that the vehicle would be registered as COMMERCIAL. Other sales personnel and the sales manager at Motor City Buick GMC also confirmed that "every vehicle sold at Motor City Buick GMC is registered as COMMERCIAL." On May 2, 2023, I received, via mail, the permanent registration showing "TYPE VEHICLE USE" as "AUTOMOBILE ."It is now Oct 16, 2023, and I have yet to resolve the issue with Motor City Buick GMC, which should have sold a COMMERCIAL type vehicle. The issue was never resolved and the dealership stopped taking my calls. read more
