We recently went to Sangera Subaru looking to purchase an EV. Our sales person Mario was friendly, honest, knowledgable, and when he didn't know something he said so and either found out or got us to a resource to answer our questions. They were extremely patient and attentive, took us on several test drives to compare vehicles as well as letting us look at the vehicles and compare them. The lobby was clean and comfortable, snacks and drinks were provided in abundance, and the AC was cool. The entire process was very low pressure, they never once tried to push us into anything or made us feel pushed. There were no drawn out speeches on extended warranties or paint protection, and in the rare instances where add ons came up, they answered question if we had them or took a "no thank you" and didn't press. from Mario to the Sales Manager, the General Manager and the Finance person we worked with, everyone was great, professional, courteous and good humored. We ended up needing to leave our first visit as my Fiance was very tired and hungry after work, but when we told them we needed to come back the next day to finalize the deal, they didn't try to stop us or anything like that. They said they understood, set us up to come in the next day when we were fresh, and said goodbye. They could not have acted more perfectly in that situation. They washed, cleaned, charged and readied the car for us before the deal was even signed so that we wouldn't have to wait or come back, which was a really nice touch of customer care and shows how committed they are. It was not a completely perfect experience but that is part of why they deserve 5 stars. There was some waiting involved. That is often the case with buying a new car and should be understandable to any adult. A couple times we felt the wait was a bit long but that is a very minor point and they made sure we were comfortable and knew where to get snacks or drinks or the rest room etc. as needed. The larger issue was that there was a bit of a mix up in their system on their inventory that could have been a serious issue, and that mix up led to some miscommunication and misunderstanding when the time came to sign the papers to buy. People make mistakes, it happens, and I don't think mistakes should be the one thing we define a business or a person on. Sangera made a mistake which could have cost us time and money and trouble- but it was caught before it was able to, AND, this is most important to me and why I consider them a 5 star dealer- they admitted it, and they worked with us to make it right. Mario spoke with management on our behalf and did everything in his power to do something for us, he was very apologetic and sincere, honest and forthcoming from the start. The sales manager came to speak with us and also immediately admitted a mistake and apologized. After we all got our perspectives On the matter out there and talked out the issue, the sales manager and Mario listened to how we felt on the matter and worked on finding out how, within their power, they could make it right, and promised that if they didn't have the power to do what needed done, they would take it up the management chain and advocate for us. They didn't need to do that however, as the two of them were able to come back to us with a compromise that was very fair and left us feeling respected and taken care of. I think that is very important to note. The sales manager we spoke to was calm, respectful, excellent in his customer care. What could have easily escalated or even ended the deal and soured that relationship, he de escalated and handled with aplomb. He took extra steps to ensure we were happy with the deal and the vehicle we were taking home before leaving things back in Mario's capable hands and returning to his office once he was assured things were all good. The finance experience was fast, it was convenient, low pressure as well and just a master class in how financing should work. totally seamless. Sangera Subaru is an excellent example of how a dealership should be. Most of our visit was flawless, waits were mostly brief or non existent, processes were well implemented and executed, staff were all friendly and professional. A mistake happened, one mistake in a very complex process, and they owned it and more importantly, stepped up to try and make it right, and did. We drove home a brand new Trail Seeker that night and have an appointment scheduled to return to the dealer and meet with their product expert who will show us all the features and options of the car and answer any questions we have about it. That's customer care that extends beyond when the ink is dry. I would recommend that anyone looking to buy, lease, or service a Subaru go see Sangera and especially ask for Mario by name. read more

What an absolutely wonderful experience! Went in wanting to see three specific 2023 Crosstreks that we'd seen online. Harpal brought out keys to all 3 vehicles, explained the features and sent us on a test drive. Came back, let him know that we'd discuss and get back to him. Absolutely no pressure. We went home, called him that we'd decided which one we wanted and he asked for an hour to have it completely detailed and filled with gas for us. Went back in, signed all the papers with Tiler and simple as that, we drove off in our beautiful, new Subaru! Worst customer service, I've had multiple bad experiences with them. I've come in for specific scheduled service and they accidentally did a different one which caused a me to wait longer. I also had gone in for my 36K mile service and they could not complete my car alignment and the worker told me that I had up until May to get the alignment done for it to be under my warranty and he never specified that I had to stay under 36,000 miles when I specifically told him I had to drive back to my hometown which is over 300 miles away. Buying my Impreza RS was outstanding. I appreciate the salesman I worked with and would definitely work with him again. Trying to schedule an oil change (simple, right?) was another thing. Requested a 430pm appt time. When the person manning the online system contacted me they stated they didn't show anything. I sent them the request confirmation and was told that it wasn't a confirmation, just a request. Fine, I get it but I asked why would I be given the opportunity to request a specific date/time if they can't see it on their side? I got no answer, just a text stating they only have a 5pm appt or I can walk in with no guarantee of a wait time. I'll take my car elsewhere for an oil change. Dealers! Some things I want the dealer to repair. Some I don't. Earlier this month I had Sangera do about $1900.00 in repairs that were pressing and necessary. They also found about $1500.00 I didn't know about. I had the pressing issue done and declined the $1500.00. After getting my car back I got a call offering a 20% discount on the declined repairs if I did them within a month. I decided to take the offer figuring OEM parts etc. Monday I brought it in and the advisor knew about the 20%. As 20% not as a discount without a number. The dealer emailed the invoice yesterday showing a "discount" but no number. Looking at the amount it was obvious it was less than 20%. I did the math. It was more like 17.8%. And it was repeated in the credit option to pay and the debit option. This is a dealer that charges 3% for using credit but doesn't for cash or debit. So you tell me....how were there systems said to display less than 20% when 20% is selected? And not even a whole number but a decimal like .178 not .2?! Hmmmmmmm The advisor pleaded innocent "we just enter in the costs and select 20% discount as he showed me the paper. And I believe that's what he's doing BUT they wouldn't be the first or last business to squeeze a couple points off figuring no one will notice but we'll get a 2%+ bump in top line revenue and the resultant increase (albeit seemingly small to the public) in bottom line profit. Disappointing to say the least. The service rep finally just asked what do you think it should be. I told him and I'm waiting on that cost to be on the invoice, it was, I paid and left. Add to the above the way the other service rep acted while mine was at lunch. As we went through the math and he used his iPhone calculator I asked what amount he got for the discount. He said I did it wrong I wasn't listening to you. WTAF Dude. I title this review as DO THE MATH! read more

Used them for services like oil change and warranty items and it always took a long time and was a higher prices than elsewhere. I don't see any reason to go here at this point, which is unfortunate because it is close to where I live. read more

Bought my 2017 Subaru from Sangera, and the buying experience was great. Fast forward to my service in July of last year and I was quoted $2300 (discounted less for paying for the service to inspect for the issue) for a replacement wiring harness in my dash to get my AC working again. Summer was ending, so I put it off. On my last service, it was heating up and I decided to have and oil changed and the AC looked at as it was warming up. Told me the repair would be $3000. Price was because I needed to have the harness in my dash replaced (so the qote said). They also said someone would reach out to me, a week later I got an email "to call and speak to a sales rep". Frustrated, I ordered just the controls myself. Removed the stero in my car, and looked at the harness/connector/wires. Nothing burnt, no discoloration, nothing. Harness looked fine. Replaced the controls last saturday and I have had fully working AC all week. Looks like Sangera tries to sell you parts you don't need. Very shady. read more

Over the past few years, my family has purchased two different vehicles from Sangera Subaru. Our most recent purchase, a CPO Subaru Forester, was purchased in the evening and picked up the following day with rear bumper damage. Sangera openly admitted the damage was not existing and viewable in any advertised photos, indicating damage occurred overnight as the car was detailed and parked for our pickup. While I was not expecting any financial compensation or repairs to the vehicle, Sangera unfortunately responded with "there is nothing we can do," a typical we don't actually care response. I would caution others when conducting business with Sangera when this is the level of service provided to repeat customers. read more

Have been their customer for 10 years, after purchasing an Subaru Forester from them in 2015. It was disappointing that their "service" had become worse and worse over the years. As an example, the sale department committed to provide complimentary car wash service every time the car is brought back to Sangera, but the service department refused to fulfill such commitment since a few years ago. I still brought my Forester back for service regularly, as no other Subaru service was available in town. My experience today, which was extremely disappointing and well below acceptable, made me feel that we should go elsewhere (e.g. LA or other nearby places) for future services. I am sharing what I experienced so other potential customers could make informed decisions before heading to Sangera for service. I was aware that the driver-side rear brake light was not working and mentioned it to two of their employees (firstly to the one who inspected my car and then to the service advisor). Both said that their service professionals would do a thorough inspection. However, when the service advisor reached out to me later with a list of three items recommended by their service professionals, I found that the rear brake light problem was not listed. I honored all three items and asked about the driver-side rear brake light problem. He said if their professionals did not recommend it, it meant there was no problem with the rear light. When I emphasized that I was sure that the driver-side rear brake light was not working, he sent me a video of the multipoint inspection: while the left/right turn lights were functioning properly, the brake lights were simply not tested. I had to speak to him again and he spoke to the service professionals. About 30 minutes later, the service advisor confirmed that I was correct and provided me a quote to replace the light bulb. I honored it immediately. After waiting for another ~30 minutes, I was told that the service professionals had left and I needed to come back on a different day if I would like to have the rear brake light fixed. Really? They missed the rear brake light problem in their so-called thorough multipoint inspection, even if I pointed out the problem explicitly to two employees! I waited for an extra one hour to have the problem fixed, but was only told to come back on a different day? With their service professionals left while I was waiting, I was not confident whether the three items they recommended were fixed properly. If they were a customer, would they trust their service department again? When I was checking out, I was just told the amount I should pay: nobody went through the service provided and charges with me and I was not provided with a copy either, until I explicitly asked for information. When I found that the 12% off coupon was not applied, the front desk told me that only managers would be able to authorize coupons but their managers had left at 5pm. Really? Didn't it sound strange? Why did not they inform customers ahead of time? When I made payment by credit card, I was told that 3% credit card service fee would also be charged to my card. This was very uncommon for car services. When I asked why they did not inform customers before the service, they pointed to a small notice label on their computer. Well, did they expect customers to check such a small notice label before authorizing service? Overall, I think this place did not provide reliable service, lacked professional and decent behaviors, and did not respect customers and customers' times. read more

He helped us a lot in making sure to explain to us all the nitty and gritty parts of the numbers, what options we had and was very patient working with us. Very charismatic and easy to talk too. Even called in the next day to see if everything ran smoothly and if we had any questions. Craig helped us with signing all the paperwork and double checked everything to make sure we had the proper understanding of stuff. We asked so many questions to both of them and they took their time to make sure we understood. Which we were all so grateful for. They took really good care of us! They charged me $815 for what amounted to an oil change and a list of inspections. That is absolutely ridiculous! A search in Subaru forums showed the same service done at a private shop to be around $300. This is a Subaru, not a Rolls Royce! They are definitely over-charging for their services. This rating is for the service department. Apart from the extremely slow and expensive service, they claimed I got a chip in the windshield on a loaner car. The chip was tiny and I didn't notice it when I took it from the dealership or while I was driving it, but I am completely positive that I didn't put it there and these people scammed me. They lie, they're not transparent and are secretive. Oh and don't expect to buy a car for fair market price there. Literally sold off my build of a 2022 Subaru Forester I had customized online and put a $500 deposit down and waited months for, just so they SOLD it while I still had a deposit! GREED! This is absolutely illegal to sell off a vehicle I had a deposit on. So whoever bought my build of a silver 2022 Forester that came with edge guards and side sills....now you know the truth behind it! Oh and I sure hope you don't get cracks in the windshields, as Subaru is known for. I sure wish Galpin was still there in Santa Clarita, where they cared about their customers and were transparent with you. Skip this dealership. Oh and do your research from past Subaru owners. These cars are not as good as they used to be, they spend more time in the shop than in your garage. And c'mon, Subaru is soooooooo outdated in style compared to all the cars on the market right now and CVT suck! Go get a Mazda CX-5! At least it MOVES! read more

Harpal Gill sold us our 2022 Outback in December of 2021. This was the easiest and most pain-free experience my husband and I have ever had. Harpal was so attentive and not pushy at all. We got what we wanted for our trade-in vehicle. The paperwork was a breeze. I would highly recommend this dealership to purchase your Subaru. By the way, our Outback is awesome! We live in the mountains and we drive on a lot of dirt roads. We also have a super steep driveway, and this car goes up our driveway without a problem. The snow and mud is not a problem for this car. Today, I had my Outback serviced today, and wow! I am so impressed by Esmeralda and the staff in the service department! I was greeted immediately with a warm smile and a great willingness to help. I was told how long it would take to have my car's oil changed and was asked if I wanted a complimentary wash. I was then updated on the status of my vehicle and was told when it was ready. The complimentary wash was amazing! I've never had my car washed, tires dressed, and floor mats cleaned before at a car dealership. I felt so spoiled that it crossed over into the self-care realm. I love having a clean car, so this was such a nice surprise. I would highly recommend this dealership. P.S. They even took the gunk off my window after I unsuccessfully tried to remove the driver's side sticker that comes with your car when you purchase it. Wow read more

The difference was the other dealers wanted me to come in before they even had the car to sign paperwork. But, started having some transmission issues at 145K miles (probably mostly due to my poor maintenance efforts). Took her in and had $1500 worth of repairs done since it was way out of warranty (valve body replacement). Got a free loaner for my troubles, and the work was done quickly and well. But, wait...it gets better. Got a call from the service manager about a week later informing me that they had missed the fact that was a factory issue (?) of some kind on the valve body, and someone in the warranty dept. caught it. After verifying some stuff, I had by entire repair bill refunded. In all my years of buying cars, I've never had a dealer call me up and send a $1500 repair bill back to my checking account.
