I have a newer Lincoln still under warranty. In the beginning of July, in 100+ degrees the A/C goes out. Call to make an appointment. Earliest appointment is 3.5 weeks away. No Loaner car or anything. 3.5 weeks later, took it in and they did repair it, compressor went out on a car less than 25,000 miles. Once the appointment came I have no complains. Ubered me back and forth and repaired the car, no expenses. You buy a newer car to not have car problems, no such luck. Should have saved my 40K and repaired my old car. read more

We had recently received a notice about my wife's car and the recall on the airbags. We made an appointment and took it in. When we got there, we pulled in to the Lincoln service line and the Service representative came out and asked us how they could help. She was extremely friendly and helpful. Overall great experience to start. Here's where it takes a turn. While in the service bay, the guy working on my wife's car apparently didn't like her wholesome taste in music and decided to change the station to something that my wife certainly did not appreciate. Why would he change the music to fix the airbag? My wife also has a dash cam (mounted on the windshield not the dashboard) and he decided to take it down. Why? I wish my wife would have told me when I dropped her off to pick up her car. I could have said something to the service manager. I will be calling them. I did like their waiting room. read more

I've debated getting a car through one of the salesmen here and he was so personable and eager to help! He gave me all the information I needed to make an informed decision. The service department here is decent. I like that when you pull up, they can see you and you can see them. It's very easy to see where you need to go and where to pay. The desk guys were fairly helpful. I had a complicated issue under warranty and they kept me in the loop the whole time about the situation and fixed my issue. Honestly this place is usually pretty awesome. Hopefully this is a one off but we took my wife's car in to get an oil change and it took them two and a half hours... we were the only ones there. Plus when we finally got the car they charged her to replace the lug nuts because apparently the manufacturer lug nuts that came with it were defective... which I'm still confused on why we get charged for their error. To top it off they usually wash the vehicle before bringing it out and they didn't this time. So long wait, unexpected charges, and no wash are the main reasons for the review. read more

While researching for a new Lincoln, we discovered the exclusive Black Label editions. These can only be ordered through certain Lincoln dealerships which are specially set up as Black Label dealerships. Being in the Northern CA Bay Area, we were surprised to find that there was only 1 such dealership near us, and the next closest one was Jim Burke Lincoln in Bakersfield. We initially contacted our closer, area dealership, but they were difficult to work with and somewhat unresponsive. Didn't they want to sell a car? Anyway, we then called the Jim Burke dealership, wondering how we were going to buy a car from a place that was 250 miles away from us. We were connected with Jonah, who was one of their Black Label salespersons. He loved that we were interested in a Black Label vehicle and was friendly, helpful and informative, even offering to deliver the car to us and take us to dinner! We ended up placing an order for the Black Label MKX, and over the course of the 2-month production time, Jonah stayed in touch with us by email and text. He always responded to our requests for information and updates in a timely manner, and told us how he and everyone else at the dealership was so excited to see this car when it was delivered. We were coming to the end of our lease on our older Lincoln, and Jonah also coordinated things so that we would be able to turn in our Lincoln and pick up our new Lincoln at the same time. (We opted to drive to Bakersfield ourselves rather than have the car delivered, because we incorporated a Vegas trip, so it was a win-win!) The timing worked out fantastic, because the car was delivered to the dealership exactly when we expected, and everything was ready for us. The car was detailed and even placed into it's own private showroom. Everyone we dealt with at the dealership was so nice and welcoming, even the GM Joe Hay congratulated us. Jonah is an exceptional young man, very articulate, patient, courteous, and his attention to detail is excellent. He took time to go through all the paperwork, and walked us through all the many features of the car - (it is a computer on wheels). We never felt rushed or overwhelmed with all the processes we had to go through to turn in the old car, lease the new one, and learn the new one. It was a really pleasant experience! As an added surprise, we discovered that while we were at the dealership doing all this, Jonah had arranged to have flowers, chocolates and champagne with glasses in a beautiful copper ice bucket as gifts, delivered to our hotel room!!! Not only that, we were also treated to a wonderful dinner at a beautiful historic steakhouse downtown! I'm sure this was due to the Black Label experience, but the thoughtfulness and the friendliness was genuine and we really appreciated it! Let's see.... Where do I start? This review is only for the service department I have not dealt with the sales side of this dealership at all. So I'm July I bring my Ford F-150 in for a SERIOUS issue, my truck literally died on me in the middle of driving down the highway. The truck completely dead but my tachometer and speedometer were frozen in place. It was flashing every warning this truck possible had. Luckily for me I had a passenger who happened to start recording so I have this whole event recorded. So after coasting to the side and having to put the truck in park I was able to start it back up and get back to work safe. The truck was running rough and now every time I start it, it smokes heavily which I have a ton of videos of. Presenting this service department with all of the facts and evidence, they happily took it in but did not want to provide me with a loaner (so far the only dealership like that). I had to fight for a loaner and get Ford customer care involved. They had my truck for 2 weeks, I was told by the service advisor Frank that my truck had no codes of any kind stored in my vehicles computer, scanner found nothing, they were in contact with the Ford engineering team and they were test driving and trouble shooting my truck with them involved. Mind you this whole time I have a Ford case manager who for some reason is the one who is relying all this info to me. On the 13th day Frank calls me to tell me my truck is ready for pick up. I'm thinking great they figured out the problem and it's fixed.... Well I was very wrong. He stated since we couldn't recreate any of your complaints/issues we can't do anything. Ford will not let us fix a vehicle without a reason mind you I have video evidence on many different occasions that was shown and offered to them. Frank even proceeds to tell me they have a few customers vehicles in for the same major issue of dying in the middle of driving weather it's on the highway, a freeway, etc. This is completely unexpected and Ford is really opening themselves up to some major issues if anyone gets hurt for this condition. Now just a few days ago I dropped my truck off at a different dealership and guess what? My truck has a crazy amount of codes stored in its computer and they said another dealership really told you this had no codes stored in it? Yes they did they said I had none. Well I guess they lied to me and I was also giving a rental no problem, no cost. They call me personally to keep me updated, amazing! It's really sad that my local dealership service department is a joke compared to others out there and I have to travel even further to get what should be a given from a manufacturer specific dealership. I was also told by the case manager I was suppose to get another appointment arrange with the Bakersfield service department for a engine specialist to try and figure something out. Guess what Frank never told me. I was highly suggest getting a second opinion before trusting what this service department says. They have lost my trust and business. read more

Outstanding! Traveling from northern CA to Death Valley, the Check Engine light came on on my 2015 Ford F550 diesel. I asked Jim Burke Ford if they could fit me in, and they did, no problem, with an estimate of $130 to do the diagnosis. I told them I'd like to get the problem taken care of, even if it meant canceling my camping reservation in Death Valley. They ran the diagnosis, found a particulate filter not flowing properly, and forced a regen, which cleared the trouble code. They also said that it didn't really fix the problem, and said I might need to take it to my local shop for a permanent fix, but they didn't want to delay my trip, as that could take multiple days. Total charge: $0.00! Since they didn't really "fix" anything, they didn't charge me a cent, even though their tech spent time on the diagnosis and doing more testing. They also topped off my windshield washer fluid, which had just gone empty that morning. Still no charge, even though I said I'd be glad to pay for their time! And really nice about everything, good communication. Kudos to Omar, the service adviser, and Manny, the technician; I couldn't ask for better treatment. read more

Terrible car service. 1st of all, it took these people 2 solid days to diagnose an issue with my Mustang's throttle body (I bought this car from Toyota and it took them less than 5 hours). 2nd, they claimed there wasn't a problem even though the Toyota people had already confirmed my concern about the throttle. 3rd, only after being harassed by the Toyota people did Ford's workers confirm the issue. 4th, after replacing the unit, I got my car back with some kind of red stain on the driver seat and grease all over the steering wheel. I had a really positive experience (and that is rare with a car dealer, seems to me). Used F-150 was priced right, as described, clean. Mike Houser (salesman) was helpful on phone and by email ahead of time, which gave me some confidence to drive the 90 miles to the dealership. I was late getting over there and near closing on a Sunday, but Mike was there and expertly arranged to have the truck ready for a test drive and my trade-in appraised. Despite having a family function, Mike stayed past closing time to get me an acceptable deal [you always want more for your trade in, but they made some adjustments to make it a good deal from my perspective]. I encouraged Mike to go, and he handed me off to Daniel Contreras (salesman), who was excellent as well - took a lot of time to show me features and tips about the vehicle and finished the sale. I don't recall the sales manager's name, but I appreciate he and Natanya (finance) staying to get the deal done, as well. read more

Came here after being ignored at the Oak St location. I wasn't sure what I wanted, but decided that night after a quick test drive. The exact car I wanted was in transit and would likely take 2 weeks. I advised the salesman, Marcus, that I needed something sooner. He got pushy and tried to get me into another car (diff color and transmission). I told him hats not what I wanted. He tried to argue with me. Regarding the price difference (ignoring it wasn't the color or transmission I wanted) he argued it wasn't much more money. It was pretty rude, but it only got worse. He proceeded to tell me they couldn't price match a price I found online (on Ford.com) as it left no profit margin. I get the point of a business is to make a profit, but as a customer my main objective is to pay as little as I can for what I want. At that point I was done and walked away. Found the exact car I wanted 2.5 hours away. The Ford dealership brought the car to me and was way under price compared to Jim Burke. I won't be coming back to buy cars here and suggest no one else does either unless you like to overpay and be talked down to. read more
