Thumbs up. One of my best auto buying experience ever! Masir was a pleasure to work with. Him and his staff did everything they could to make my buying experience positive. I drive Uber so it's a very important to find a car that's dependable and reliable. I drive a lot of miles so I go through a lot of cars. When I look for my next one I will be going to MotorMax. Thanks guys. Good Job

This business is amazing. I was helped by Marcus and he is amazing! I financed a Lexus through them and they were very helpful, responsive and went above and beyond to ensure AMAZING/OUTSTANDING customer service. Even when Marcus wasn't at work he would answer my calls and ensure me on anything I needed to know. There was a small misfire when I bought the car. I informed Marcus and no questions asked he repaired the vehicle for me free of charge! Since the cars sit and aren't driven much they were unaware of the problem but they fixed it and I haven't had any problems with my car since! I LOVE IT! I checked 10+ dealerships before I found them and I can easily say I wish I would have found this place sooner! Easiest, no stress, car buying experience ever! Low Cost! Good quality! Great service! Thank you so much Marcus and your great MotorMax team! #supportsmallbusiness

These are good people. I have a very tight schedule and no time to mess around. I went to at least 4 lots before Motomax and they all try to BS you as usual. However, Masir and his colleagues were honest and professional. I was paying cash for two cars, and could choose to buy wherever I want. I chose Motormax, and I am extremely happy. I received my license plates, registration and a pleasant surprise of an unexpected refund check from Masir. I will buy more cars from Motormax guaranteed!

New Review: I still stand by my one star, I know the owner recently commented on my review and all I have to say is how unprofessional you are. 1. No one ever told me that the battery was dead on the car I test drove because I never called in the first place I just showed up. 2. I drove more than one car that both had multiple codes. Hence my original review and original pictures. 3. Your sales man told me verbatim that you guys cleared the codes to pass smog checks. 4. Even though my credit score was low I had cash to pay for a car as long as it didn't show any bad codes. The fact that you want to put me on blast that my credit low credit is highly unprofessional, to lie publicly about everything, and to call me a liar is beyond wild. Just you making up a lie about how I called is one thing but the other lie about how someone left the light on the car so you had to replace the battery. Whoever it was must of left the "lights on" for the couple of cars I test drove. Why wouldn't you jump it unless you're intentionally clearing codes. I know you can clear codes just by taking disconnecting the battery. Why would you not tell your client that before test driving it. Don't you think ppl should know those things before hand. What I also find most unprofessional is you guys blowing my phone up trying to get the original review down. You called and apologized for your salesman "giving false information" than when I went back trying to give you guys another chance. You and your sales manager tried so hard to get me to take the review down more than once. You even offered to give me a discount on a car. I have phone logs and voicemails which I'm more than happy to post bc I knew you would try and pull something like this. Just bc you sweet talk and try to be nice doesn't excuse the fact that you guys still have lemon cars on your lot. Moral of the story, BEWARE OF THIS DEALERSHIP. If you are going to get a car from them I advise having a OBD reader. I got my FIXD reader for $20 on their website. If you don't have one than take the car to a mechanic before buying. Legally you are allowed to take a car to a mechanic before purchase. Do not trust their mechanic. Do your homework! Old Review: I am rating this place very low because I want people to know they can not be trusted, well at least I dont trust them. I went in wanting to test drive a few cars, we we're greeted warmly which would be expected when you're trying to buy a car. They told us to look around and we were able to test drive cars. I asked prior to driving three cars if there was anything wrong with them. They said NO, what they didn't know was I had a OBD reader. I learned my lesson from buying a used car last time and having issues right after a month of use. I went around putting my OBD reader in the 2014 Ford Focus SE and that had 4 issues ( in case anyone was looking to buy that car, see attached photo). After driving the cars, when I said there was something wrong with one of the cars, (The 2014 Ford Fusion SE) they acted like they were confused and didn't know what any of the problems were. I listed 3 of the 13 things wrong with the car including the fault in the driver side airbag. They later came up with an excuse "there is nothing wrong with the car, we clear the lights for the smog checks" To me they're def not trust worthy and I hope someone reads this and know that they sell lemons instead of reliable cars.

We bought my son a 2011 Jetta from Marcus . He was kind , fair and knowledgeable. The entire experience was a pleasure. The car was delayed a day due to a part and the owner of Motor Max replaced the brake pads for us no charge. We would recommend Motor Max to anyone looking for a car.

I went to Carmax on a Monday after work, without an appointment, and they were able to see me right away. Since the quote started online, it was an easy process to get registered by scanning a barcode and answering a few questions at the window. Once they test drove the car, the quote was the same. I was then given a list of instructions for my Tesla to reset it to its original factory settings. Please note that you have to do all the steps, even the step for the associate. Once that was done, I was brought over to talk to one of reps who presented the paperwork to sign. It was minimal and the explanation was clear. My balance due at the bank will be handled by Carmax and I was given the remainder of the profit via check. The process was pretty seamless! I'd definitely come back again if I have to sell my car.

The "Express" Pickup is a Total Sham - They Chose a Bot Over a Serious Buyer…read more I've never experienced a more tone-deaf sales process. I am a 100% committed buyer with approved financing. I even went as far as sharing my private insurance settlement documents ($11,500+) with my associate, Maria, just to prove I wasn't wasting anyone's time while waiting for the check to clear. Despite this, CarMax Kearny Mesa has been a logistical nightmare. I live in Carlsbad, and after making multiple trips down there (a 45-80 minute haul each way), their 'solution' to a minor insurance delay was to send me an automated Salesforce threat stating they would release the car if I didn't show up for a third time on Monday. Maria is 'off' on Monday, and management is apparently content letting a bot handle their business. They are willing to blow up a guaranteed, funded deal over a 48-hour administrative window. If you want to be treated like a person--especially if you've done the work to prove you're a serious buyer--go literally anywhere else. This isn't 'Express' service; it's a 'computer-says-no' bureaucracy that doesn't care about your time, your commute, or your business.

It was getting late and most places were closing down however I called in about their ad on Craigslist and Moe let me know that they were closed but said he'd meet me there if I was serious about buying a car. I met him up there and seen a car I liked, drove it, and wanted to buy it. The price was right but as a fellow salesperson I knew I could negotiate a better price. Moe wouldn't budge and said their cars are priced to sell since they get most of their business from the Internet, which sounded like bullshit. Since this was the best deal I seen all day I bought it anyway. Later that night I noticed my headlight was out and started to regret my purchase knowing that the xenon lights were expensive to replace and questioning the rest of the car. The next day I came back to complain and Moe rode with me to auto zone and bought me a new $100 headlight which he personally installed that night. I did not expect him to do it [since the paperwork I signed did not hold him liable] and definitely didn't expect him to replace it that night. All in all, Moe's a great guy. Very genuine, sincere, and will not pressure you. Auto gallery is a small lot with high quality cars that are well priced. I would highly recommend going there prior to any of the larger lots or "event". I still cannot find the car I bought online for a similar price without 2x the miles.

Here's a short story of poor salesmanship. Back story- I…read morework a mile down the street from this place and I have been eyeing this specific truck for a little longer than a week and have been searching for an F150 to swap the powertrain into a Bronco. I have also looked at 2 other car sales lots on the same street one of them being Karz Plus. I walk in and instead of being greeted or asked what they can do for me, I have to ask looking at them both "who wants to help me" and I kid you not, BOTH salesman pointed at each other. Mind you they were sitting at adjacent desks and separated by a partition. So I point my attention to one since neither seemed interested in really helping. So I ask how much is the black F150. The salesman says "its already sold someone is already coming" then as I'm about to leave he then says "its actually not sold and for the right price though" then I ask "how much is it". Still yet he doesn't mention any pricing and says "I have to call the owner to see what we can do and how serious are you about buying" then I ask again "well how much is it" eventually he finally answers. After all that, 1) no salesman takes initiative 2) lied about it being already sold 3)couldn't answer a simple question after being asked 3 times. 4)couldn't actually be a salesman and was going to have to call the owner even though we hadn't even started making a deal yet. Karz plus greeted me, let me inside the truck and do a walk around. They made me an agreeable offer and financing and said they would be willing to work with me and my credit union if i do finance through them and gave me a printout of the carfax and the saleswoman even gave me her personal cell if I had any immediate questions. I have lived in this town my whole life so I have seen how these dealerships have changed over the years. The vast difference between both places is astounding and it really shows why one is expanding and the other isn't. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO HERE AGAIN.

Short story: Yes, I…read more recommend these guys and it was well worth going to East County for my "new" used vehicle, and most noteworthy, the salesperson Dina, who made the process smooth, friendly, and efficient and did not trigger me at all! Long story: What do I mean trigger me? Lemme tell you--I hate high-pressure sales! Most people just find it annoying, but I have some kind of allergic reaction to it when it strikes me as overly manipulative or even like some form of bullying. Maybe because a couple of my first jobs were in sketchy sales (Cutco Knives anyone?--I lasted a whole week!). So yeah, I have kinda gone-off on sales people in the past. I'm not proud of this, it isn't comfortable for anyone, me, the salesperson, or my spouse, hehe... And with the old trope about the used-car salesman, I did a good job just avoiding the dealerships completely. But, with no current hand-me-down vehicles from family available, and my old car deemed a total loss-- I guess it was finally time to get on with what everyone else does as competent adults and just go and buy a car already! My strategy in dealing with myself and the car-buying process was to research online first. This actually worked out better than I would have thought. I used the truecar website link my insurance (Hartford) sent. It had a solid search function, and I was able to get a good sense of what was available in my area, the history and price of different vehicles, and a general sense of how much the taxes and fees would be (and therefore what could be a reasonable amount to negotiate/expect to pay out the door). In this way I was able to pre-shop around for cars, and educate myself on what would be a fair price. None of this is probably new to you experienced car buyers out there, but I think it could be very helpful to some of you, if you are a young or older newbie like myself. Anyway, the car I was interested in was at East County Pre-Owned Car Superstore, and so I arranged to go out there, meet Dina, and go for a test drive. Like anyone practicing new "adulting" skills, I brought my mom along! Well, she drove me, then played a quietly supportive wingman as I got on with the car-buying process. Dina, the salesperson, was easygoing and personable, and I thought she struck a nice balance of being helpful and leading the process forward without pressure. Um, as a side note about salespeople... yes, I tend to avoid them if that is an option, but I also have a dear friend who happens to be a very successful salesperson, and I have had positive experiences with salespeople too. What I've come to realize is that sales, at it's best, is a win-win situation, one in which the price is fair for both parties, and the salesperson helps you find and purchase a quality product that they believe in, you want, and that will serve you well. I feel like Dina is this kind of salesperson. Car shopping/buying takes time and energy to figure out, and I if you're like me you will need to do your homework online first. And if the car you want is in their lot, Dina is someone I wholeheartedly recommend to help you through the process. I came back to the dealership a few days after buying my car so they could replace a small piece of trim that was missing and they had ordered. Dina cheerfully snapped the new part on, and when I told her that the day before, my husband had already put a scratch on the car (he was so bummed and I was just happy it was him and not me:) she called her husband and asked him to come by and buff it out. He did, and made it look so much better! That was very nice, and very much in the spirit of wanting a happy customer even after the sale was made. Thanks to everyone who made it a positive experience for me, most especially you Dina, I'm digging my new car!
