They say the worst time to buy a car is when you're desperate and with my luck, that's exactly what happened. My 1999 Toyota 4Runner had seen better days. Truthfully, I was afraid she would just stop working on the highway and it would get me into an accident, or spontaneously blow up. I knew I had to get something a little newer, but literally had no idea where to start. So naturally, I turned to the internet. Man oh man does everyone have an opinion these days. ANYWAY, I had never bought a car before this. I was afraid to do private seller because my ex and I did that with the 4runner and we got ripped off. But corporate dealerships scare the hell out of me. I was searching and searching and searching and then I came across Bayside Motors. Bayside Motors: a used car dealership with an owner named Marty had 4 STARS. 4 STARS AT A USED CAR DEALERSHIP?? Naturally I had to read the reviews. I figured it was worth a shot considering it was somewhere between a private dealer and a corporate big time car dealership. It turned out to be one of the best decisions I have ever made. Marty is a real life Angel and nothing you could say could convince me otherwise. He is honest, fair, direct, knowledgeable, patient and most of all, kind. He took the time to walk things through with me and help me get a car at a really, really good price in my dire circumstance.
