I talked to several shops in the east bay for paint correction/ceramic coating. The prices don't vary too drastically but I also wanted high quality products and a few other services beyond auto detailing. After various discussions, I finally settled on Motorsport Designs and it has been nothing but a pleasure! They were able to ceramic coat the entire body, PPF headlights, tint windows, and hardwire a dual dashcam set up. This company likes to hide behind their waivers when the jobs don't go right. I don't know what happened to this company. This is the second vehicle I brought in for ceramic coating and PPF. The first time was in July of 2022 and went without a hitch. Israel and his workers were top notch, and I even wrote a positive review for them. On this last round, the whole experience was the exact opposite. I don't know what happened to have such a complete, disappointing 180...new workers or something? In February 2023, I brought my wife's brand-new Porsche Macan in for the same treatments, PPF on the front and ceramic coating on the rest. I thought things were going smoothly until we picked up the car and there were a couple of blotches/blemishes and lines like a long hair stuck under the PPF. The car is black in color, and you can really see the imperfections. I don't know anyone who would like to have to look at these imperfections in their paint job on a brand-new car. We were not happy with it and Israel explained that the PPF they used, was a smaller/narrow type and was the only type available at that time, and that they had to do extra stretching of the material, and this is why the imperfections were there. He said that a manufacturer was coming out with a larger/wider type and that they would redo the PPF when it came in. He said that they allow one redo for every customer at no charge. This was reasonable to me so we decided to wait on the larger type of PPF to come in and Israel would contact us for scheduling. I even brought my Yukon in for a detail job in August 2023 but the PPF for my wife's car was not in yet. Finally, Israel said that the material was in and after a lot of back and forth he gave us a date of Friday, January 26, 2024, to drop-off the car. We did so, he made us sign some waivers and explained that he was doing this for free and that the car would be ready for pick-up the next day. The next day we picked up the car in the afternoon. Israel was not there, but I believe it was his business partner Noel who brought the car up. I was shocked to find some type of white spray overspray all over the front of the car and windshield and the car was filthy dirty. As for the PPF, it looked a lot worse than the previous one that was on there and there was already lifting of the PPF near the headlights. I know we did not wash the car before we brought it in, and I am not saying they should have to wash it, but I would think that if you were working in this profession that would be a given. Anyways, we felt as if they just ripped off the old PPF and slapped on a new piece because they were angry that they were doing it for free. Not sure if that is what they were thinking but it sure felt that way. I voiced my displeasure to Israel; he kept saying his business partner would contact me but never did. Finally, after the back and forth with Israel, I am fed up and requested a refund or some kind of compensation, but his response was that because we signed a waiver that they're not responsible for the poor job. Anyways, bad experience here. Out $3000 to$4000 just to have a PPF that must be redone or removed and who knows if the ceramic coating is done correctly. Another company, who chooses not to get involved, said that everything was done poorly and that they could not believe that Motorsports Design would return the car to us in this condition. They also said that the larger PPF has always been available and that we were most likely lied to. I really hate to write such a negative review, but can you really blame me? The pics speak for themselves and the screenshot of Israels response speaks volumes to his integrity. If they could have been honest in the beginning and just admitted that the job might be over their skill level and that the PPF might not come out good probably would have avoided this whole fiasco. These guys are great. I took my truck down there to get wrapped/windows tinted. They took there time to do it right, they did the front bumper 2x on their dime as they did not like how it looked. I just had my Tesla Model 3 delivered and was anxious to get the windows tinted and chrome delete. I messaged multiple shops on yelp to get estimates. Israel responded quickly and had the best estimate. I took my car to his shop to talk to him before proceeding. He was very informative and let me know all of my options. He was honest and upfront. I made an appointment with him. I received text message confirmation upon booking and a text reminder the day before. He was ready to start when I dropped of my car and finished in the time frame he promised. I purchased the red Tesla emblems and he even put those on for me without charging additional! Israel is a one man army. You can tell he does an extremely great job with his work. He takes his time to ensure that your tint is flawless. His little garage is a pretty chill spot while you wait or watch him do his work. He owns the place and does everything himself. Got tints installed here, the guy that worked with me was pretty cool at first. Dropped my car off for a whole day to take old tints out and new tints in. When I picked up my car was when I noticed it was filed with bubbles and that's when everything went downhill he blamed the old tint at first for the bubbles and I was like okay that's reasonable. He scheduled a second appointment and when I picked up my car more issues and then later blamed my cars windows. I told him to re do the drivers window and he never replied to me ever since. He later told me that most people don't even re do tints when problems like that happen. Problems on problems I don't recommend coming here with the shitty service. I later took my car to a place called the tint factory and to my surprise the guy didn't have a problem with my windows. Avoid this read more

He spent a considerable amount of time helping me decide what material, color, and cut of the wrap would look good. He takes an interest as if it was his own car.
