But growing up in Detroit, the "Motor City" of America, I've always loved cars, even as a kid, I knew the names and year of every car on the road, and as I grew older my love became my passion and hobby for life. Saw an ad years ago for Brothers Auto Sales, Palm Harbor, Florida, I stopped in, saw a Dodge Charger I liked, took a test drive and bought it, and since then I've purchased two more Chargers from Mike, one of three brothers, Frank Jr and Matt, who staff Brothers Auto Sales, and they take care of me every time as if I were an old friend of the family, something you don't feel anywhere else when you're shopping for cars anymore. Brothers Auto Sales has thrived in this location for over 28 years when Frank Sr., Mike's dad, moved the family from Queens, New York to Florida and started what's now become something of an institution by selling reasonably priced, mechanically sound used cars, trucks and SUVs priced well within most budgets, that are clean inside and out, even the engines under the hood are ready for inspection. She was warm and personable and insured that a rather ancient "free oil change/tire rotation" was honored (which had been the reason I came in on ladies day, just in case it COLDN'T be honored, however 'free' was even better! I enjoyed watching the tech work on my Honda fit as though it were his own Automobile and was super pleased that I was in and out of there with my servicing complete and a full report of things to take care of in the near future and the order in which to do those things most economically thanks to Josh. My early morning /evening driving is deteriorating, so I questioned why I would ever think about a 7 AM appointment in the future however today's experience made me realize I will definitely consider how very quick and cheerfully I could start my day AND drive out with my FIT being in shape shape (and Clean!!! with pollen, even though my husband had it washed mid-February I was embarrassed, bringing it in looking so 'tired'. Came in for a simple tire repair appointment after running over a screw a few weeks prior. The tire…read morehad zero loss of pressure the entire time -- I just wanted it properly repaired before a long road trip. They started work quickly, and unfortunately that's where the positive experience ended. Almost immediately, they came back claiming the screw had hit the sidewall and that the entire tire needed to be replaced for $443. Mind you, these tires are only about six months old. Given the location of the screw and the fact that the tire never lost pressure for weeks, this seemed highly questionable. They also recommended replacing the air filter, which admittedly did need to be changed. Since I declined the unnecessary tire replacement, they said they would "vacuum out" the filter and reinstall it so it would be "good enough." My fiancé planned to replace it himself anyway. When my fiancé inspected the tire afterward, he noticed they never even removed the tire from the wheel to properly inspect it internally before recommending full replacement. For context: my fiancé is capable of repairing tires himself, but because the tire was fairly new, he specifically wanted it professionally patched from the inside. After another tire shop failed to honor appointments, he finally decided to just handle it himself. To make matters worse, a couple walked in right after me and were told the exact same thing -- "the nail hit the sidewall, the tire needs replacing." What happened to Goodyear? They used to be honest, efficient, and known for terrific customer service. They once had a loyal customer in me. I will not be returning.

Brought my car in for a routine oil change on 8/14 before driving to Miami with my son. On 8/15,…read morewhile on I-95 in North Miami, there was a loud BOOM and my car suddenly overheated. I pulled off safely, opened the hood, and found the radiator cap completely gone. I had the car towed to the Goodyear store in North Miami, where it was diagnosed that the coolant reservoir cap threads had been forced and damaged--meaning the cap had been put back on incorrectly by whoever last serviced it. (I don't touch my own car; I'm not a mechanic.) Naturally, I called the store that had serviced the vehicle the day before. Jason told me he would "check into it" and get back to me--but I never heard another word. Overheating on a busy interstate isn't just inconvenient; it's dangerous. The lack of follow-up showed zero concern for customer safety. Now I understand why that store was completely empty when I went in. Don't risk your car--or your family's safety--by trusting this shop with your vehicle.
