Really lovely coffee and tea place with delicious food. My husband and I shared the bacon, egg and cheese empanada which hit the spot for a breakfast snack. Drinks were really well made, I chose 50% sugar which was perfect. Food and drinks are on the pricier end but everything is well made. They've got muffins, cakes, loafs, middle eastern sweets and so much more. I really enjoyed my passion fruit tea and my husband loved his ube matcha. Hip, modern, spacious coffee shop in the same plaza as a gas station, so it's very unassuming. This is a great place to meet with others or work on your own. They are not shy about their Muslim roots, as they also have prayer rooms within the shop, which is unique. Food-wise, I got the beef bacon and egg empanada, which was tasty, but the pastry portion was a little dense. The biscoff latte was pretty good but a little on the sweet side if you don't like sweeter specialty coffees. I'd come back here for the vibes and to try other savory items. read more

I got some espresso and chicken empanada which honestly was good, but still pricey for what you get. The empanada was flavorful but still a lot. The place was not busy when I came in and sat down for an hour or 2 to do some work. Its halal so thats a plus 1 star because I dont know of any halal cafes nearby. There's a lot of tables to sit down but it can feel a little cramped with the tables being a bit closer than usual. Overall I would probably come here again, but it wouldn't be my first choice as there is another much more affordable coffee options nearby(though the taste may not be as great and not halal) read more

MOTW stands for Muslims of the world. Went to check out this coffee shop (mostly because I saw a bunch of pistachio drinks and pastries which was intriguing to me). I am not Muslim, but did not feel out of place or anything. It's a very welcoming environment, great atmosphere (bright, good lighting, a nice place I could sit for a few hours to work or chat with a friend). There is a prayer area and bathrooms for each gender on different sides of the cafe. They have a bunch of fun board games if you wanted to play as well. I ordered the biscoff latte (recommended by them), a beef bacon and egg empanada, and a pistachio croissant. The biscoff latte was great. Had little bits of biscoff in it and tastes just like what it says. The empanada was decent, but didn't love the texture of the breading. Tasted like it could have sat out too long, a bit chewy (but maybe that's also the texture of it). I would have loved if it were a little more flaky and crispy. I haven't had too many empanadas in my life though to know how it should be. The pistachio croissant was okay, but I may try a different pastry next time. I would definitely come back for some more lattes though! All in all, the atmosphere was nice, so I might be back with some friends or bring my laptop to do work here. There are lots of outlets around. However, price wise, I did feel like it was a bit on the higher end. Our bill came out to a little over $24 for the one coffee and two pastries. read more

What a cool new coffee shop. I had been wondering if any business was going to rent space in this small strip next to the BP at Roselle and Algonquin Roads in Palatine. Finally, a local, good coffee shop. We didn't have any coffee shops near us until Dunkin Donuts opened a drive through about two mile west of MOTW. Now, there are four in the area. MOTW is well appointed/decorated. There are plenty of seats and fast wi-fi. The coffees we had were great. The service was outstanding. My partner had a latte and I had an Americano. They also have some baked goods and a wide variety of coffee and tea options on their menu. There were quite a few people there, but it wasn't loud. So, MOTW has that going for it, too. At about a mile from my home, I see myself becoming a regular. read more

GRAND OPENING DAY!! Finally opened a location nearby! We would frequent the Lombard location. Coffee and Pastries are the BOMB! Staff were nice and helpful. The coffee shop is so cute and unique! There is a lot of spaces to sit with groups of all sizes. The decor inside is really cute and modern with an uplifting atmosphere. Our service was fast and the baristas were very kind. Coffee was great! Beef empanadas were full of flavor and fresh. They contain a lot of meat and are worth the price. Very nice owner and staff, An interfaith prayer room, bathrooms for genders are on opposite sides of the café, student guest discount 15% if you go to or work at a college (Harper) right across the street, amazing dessert and pastries including a pistachio filled and iced croissant which wa amazing, a bidet in the bathroom, power stations to charge your devices, real trees in great condition, and the floor is what a floor would look like if you were outside but it's indoors and it's coated with a nice shiny coat to help keep it clean so you get in outdoor feel for an indoor cafe with trees and this pretty floor. Free Parking and it's right next to the BP gas station as well as other stores. It's a very safe neighborhood. The music was soft and classical and not loud so the atmosphere was relaxing. read more

I've heard many great things about MOTW but never had a chance to experience it until today. Decided to check out the grand opening and had a great time. At first we were overwhelmed and didn't know what to order the staff provided excellent recommendations. We tried a small Spanish latte and Bischoff latte. Both were excellent. I love this place so much!! This is my go-to spot for strawberry and mango matcha. I always ask for the "OG" matcha because I love how creamy it is, but their new recipe is just as delicious. The coffee and refreshers are also amazing and I am never disappointed with anything I get! The service is excellent, the employees are very kind, quick, and responsive! Love it, a coffee shop like motw near harper and a few nearby high schools was always missing growing up in the area.

This place is great! I love it that they are open late. Such a rarity in the suburbs! Very cute "winter wonderland" seasonal decorations and very friendly staff. My cardamom latte was delicious. They had a lot of unique flavors of lattes that all sounded amazing, actually, and some sweets I'd never seen before, mousse-filled, that I am going to try next time. The empanadas looked very good, too. I felt comfortable hanging out and working on my laptop (there were plenty of outlets, too.) There is a prayer room for people of any faith, which I thought was nice. read more

Located right across the street from Harper College (by the BP gas station), it is beautifully decorated and spacious. It is an ideal place for college students on a break, remote employees and really anyone else that wants to enjoy their coffee with friends. Stopped to try out this new coffee shop. I ordered two late's. Vanilla/ coconut and a pistachio late. Both were so packed with flavor. We also purchased a couple muffins which were a nice size. The pricing was comparable to other coffee shops. The interior has comfortable seating for several guests. I appreciate that they have punch cards for a reward system.
