Pretty solid coffee, but the sweet treats are the moneymakers. We stopped by the shop in Bar Harbor, and got some coffees. Not bad. Later, we stopped at a different location in Trenton and bought a blueberry cheesecake. Very tasty and very fresh ingredients! Highly recommended trying it. My wife ordered it, and despite me being on the ketogenic diet, I took a bite. They do require cash, but they have an ATM inside. We stopped in for an iced coffee and cupcakes. The shop is cute and the displays are enticing; however, the cupcakes were less than even mediocre. We purchased a s'mores and a red velvet cupcake - both were dry and lackluster, but worst of all, they both had a weird chemical aftertaste. We ended up throwing them away. What a waste. The iced macchiato was way too sweet and .i could not even really taste the espresso. It was sickening and I had to throw it out. It is a cute little store, but is really just a tourist trap. I stopped in to get my morning latte. The coffee was good and the pastries looked yummy as well. I was disappointed in the service. I asked if they could fill up my water bottle (save the planet with less plastic) and despite two large sinks being two steps away from the register, I was told they only have bottled water. If you are looking for good coffee in Bar Harbor, try Pink Pastry Shop, not the nasty coffee at Acadia Perk. The coffee at my hotel wasn't the best but I made two stops here for the coffee and let me tell you it was great! The staff was also super sweet. I knocked off one star for two reasons: it would have been great if they had some indoor seating; and second, the scone wasn't great. The lemon tart though was nice. Overall I do recommend you check them out, especially if you're looking for good coffee around the area. read more

I thought my pastry was just okay, but my blueberry iced tea was where it was at. Debated between a slice of their blueberry pie and the berry summer stack. Went with the stack, which reminded me of a lemon cheesecake with some berries mixed in. Although it was a berry stack, the berry flavor and berries (at least in the slice I got) was essentially non-existent. It wasn't bad. Just was expecting something else. My blueberry iced tea on the otherhand was very good. Only slightly sweet from the blueberry flavor, which I liked. So after a long day of hiking my wife really wanted a Whoopi's pie. There wasn't any other customer in the shop. Not one. I was sweaty and tired and i asked for a cup of water. He refused and would only sell me a bottle of water. They also only take cash so we couldn't get a whoopie pie and a water with the cash in my pocket. My wife got her whoopie pie. She enjoyed it. Excellent coffee!!! Super nice staff and delicious baked goods! We stumbled upon this shop in our hopefully quest for a good latte and were pleasantly surprised. It's so clean, open and friendly inside with a massive amount of fresh baked pastries, cupcakes and sweet treats. The girls behind the counter were so friendly, made excellent lattes and suggested a few different things to us. We were only hungry enough to try the coconut macaroons (allllll coconut delicious!) but we will be back at least one more time on our short visit. We also ordered a strawberry cupcake to try, since it also looked delicious. The whoopie pie was cloyingly sweet. The cream filling inside was like the super sweet frosting you would use for gingerbread house kits...with so much of it in between the cakes, I felt like I was going to get diabetes after eating it. Was charged $6, and when we asked about it, were told that the listed prices were wrong/outdated. The vibe from the shop was that it was no big deal, and they'd probably just update their pricing list...eventually. I expect tourist/big-city prices at this kind of place, and wouldn't have objected to paying $5 or $6 for the cake. But I hugely object to being asked to pay something more than the listed price. Everything looked scrumptious and super cute (the puffin cupcakes!!!) although we had just had a huge dinner before popping in so we didn't indulge in anything beyond beverages. Grabbed a cappucino and slice of blueberry pie while waiting for a table for lunch. Pretty standard coffee and the pie was ok- a little too sweet for my liking and the crust was quite thick. My daughter and I dropped in one day and got a smoothie and a coconut macaroon cookie and thought they were good, so we stopped in another day and I got a slice of blueberry pie and a spinach/feta pastry and both were AMAZING. The crust of the pie was sooo flaky and delicious. The pastry was also so soft and delicious. Can't say enough. CASH ONLY though. read more
