Park Hyatt St. Kitts - Mixology Class

    Park Hyatt St. Kitts

From the moment we arrived, time seemed to move differently. The trade winds rolled through the palm trees, Nevis sat perfectly across the water like a painting, and suddenly there was nowhere to be except exactly where we were.(not to mention being greeted with Rum Punch) Our days quickly settled into a rhythm that felt almost too good to be real: slow mornings with coffee and ocean views, afternoons spent poolside with frozen drinks in hand, and evenings that stretched long after sunset because nobody was in a hurry for them to end. The resort somehow manages to feel both expansive and intimate at the same time. Whether we were wandering the grounds, enjoying dinner with the Caribbean breeze drifting through the restaurant, or star-gazing with their amazing guide, every moment felt intentional. What stayed with me most wasn't the luxury, or all of the friendly, and warm staff -- although there was plenty of that. It was the feeling. The feeling of having nowhere to rush off to. The feeling of reconnecting with the person sitting across from you instead of whatever notification was waiting on your phone. The feeling of remembering what vacation is actually supposed to feel like. Somewhere between the sunsets, the ocean breeze, the rum cocktails, and the sound of the waves in the distance, St. Kitts stopped feeling like a destination and started feeling like a state of mind. Some trips give you souvenirs. This one gave us memories we'll spend years trying to recreate.

It was a pretty quiet Labor Day Weekend and we felt as though we were just one of a few couples on the property. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. They were truly the nicest people and showed us the best hospitality. The food was amazing. Every dish we tried was excellent.. our room was big and we really loved our patio chaise lounges to relax in the evenings. Janelle the concierge made sure we got to see the best sites of the island . The stay at the Park Hyatt in St. Kitts has been a truly unforgettable experience and I hope to be back again very soon.

The condo was spacious and filled with amenities including full kitchen with dishwasher, plus laundry facilities right there in the room. We spent a lot of time on the balcony. The dining options were really good and the outdoor venue at the pool has the best conch fritters of any place we tried on the island. There are several pool areas spread around the property, and the beach / ocean was so satisfying, with plenty of cabanas, pergolas and loungers for the taking, There are things like putt putt, cornhole, giant chess and other things spread around the property for your gaming enjoyment. Also the Royal St Kitts Golf Club is adjacent to the property and let me tell you it is a stellar round of golf, very well manicured, absolutely epic views, with par 3 hole 15 and holes 16-17 playing right along the ocean. Treated my daughter's boyfriend to a round and am oh-so-glad we spent the day out there. Service all around was great. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Finally, we found the location to be great, within walking distance to several bars and restaurants plus grocery.

We stayed in 2 bedroom/2 bathroom fully appointed room with all the amenities on the 2nd floor of building 7. All the staff was extremely helpful, friendly, and easy to communicate with. A big shout out to Mericia and Marcus! There was plenty of parking, numerous places to eat, and pools for all. It is relatively close to Timothy Bay Beach, which has great snorkeling, lots of bar/restaurants to choose from. Of the restaurants, we were very partial to Monkey Bar and Restaurant because of the phenomenal seafood offerings (see a separate review on YELP or TripAdvisor for more details). I would have rated this higher, but when it came time to check out, we reached out ahead of time for a bellhop to assist with luggage (for the 4 of us). I even received a confirmation text stating someone was on their way, yet no one showed up...

The second bedroom bathroom had visible stains in the bathtub from the moment we walked in--but that was just the beginning. When we actually turned on the faucet, it ran brown water. Not "slightly off," not "maybe it's the pipes"--brown. Naturally, we checked the primary bathroom, hoping it was isolated. Unfortunately, the water there was also questionable, which raises serious concerns about overall water quality. To make matters worse, the floors throughout the unit were visibly dirty upon arrival, making it clear that basic cleaning standards were not met. The entire space felt neglected and not properly maintained. We documented everything with photos and videos because this situation was that concerning. This is not just about aesthetics--this is about health and safety. We will be vacating immediately and pursuing a full refund. I strongly recommend future guests think twice before booking, especially if you're assigned Room 55. Also, the front desk manager, Roslyn was not kind with our request to vacate the property and continues to say that we have to be charged to penalty of an extra night for leaving early. Very disappointing.

We went when it was spring break - young college students everywhere. The main pool on the family side was where all the activities were. The Adult side was more of a relaxing atmosphere. The food wasn't consistent especially at the Palm Beach Grill. The resort also had a popular grill spot by the pool on the Family side that served hot dogs and burgers. The other onsite restaurants were average. The best dining experience was the breakfast buffet, very organized and the staff served you. The drinks were super sweet, you have to ask the bartender not to add too much juice or soda. If you wanted a nice cocktail have your dollars ready and you can ask him to use the better quality alcohol and not the house brand. For some reason the lobby bar at most resorts prepares the best drinks - this is where I receive the best service along with the best drinks. We had an issue with our room and had to switch by the second day. I really did not like their customer service because they tried to convince us to stay in a room that wasn't up to standard. The first room had a foul odor coming up from the drainage, the shower head was broken and there were broken dresser drawers. They gave us a really hard time and tried to make it look like they were doing us a favor. We had to reach out to the corporate office after checking out. This isn't a bad resort and we would stay here again. It's located at a central location thats close to a lot of restaurants and attractions.

Usually resorts are set off by themselves and away from the local communities. The staff is super friendly. Antigua itself is absolutely beautiful, but the resort was the biggest disappointment of our trip. From the moment we arrived, we experienced ongoing issues with restaurant reservations, inconsistent food availability, and poor customer service. We spent far too much of our vacation trying to coordinate dinner reservations instead of relaxing. As a large group, we were directed to work with Guest Services/Wedding Groups, where I worked with Nissa, Danetta, and another team member. While they were all friendly, very little was actually resolved despite multiple conversations throughout our stay. Even when reservations were secured, meals were poorly coordinated. It wasn't uncommon for some people at our table to receive their food while others waited over an hour. By the time everyone was served, some family members had already finished eating. For a resort that hosts weddings and large groups regularly, this was extremely disappointing. The resort also appeared worn and in need of maintenance in several areas, particularly around the pool. Combined with inconsistent service and lack of follow-through, it simply did not feel like a luxury resort. One of my biggest frustrations was the lack of accountability. On our last day, Nissa told me she would meet with me before our departure to discuss our experience. I waited and looked for her, but she never became available, and no one followed up. After everything we had experienced, it felt like our concerns simply didn't matter. What was most frustrating was discovering during our stay that many of these same complaints--reservation issues, poor service, maintenance concerns, and inconsistent dining--have been mentioned in reviews for months. These don't appear to be isolated incidents, which makes it even more disappointing that little seems to have changed. We still had an amazing time because Antigua is stunning and we were surrounded by family. However, we made those memories despite the resort, not because of it. If you're planning a large family vacation, reunion, or wedding here, I'd strongly encourage you to read the most recent reviews before booking. Based on our experience, the level of service simply doesn't justify the premium price.

Unfortunately, guests I arrived with, and who checked in after me, received their rooms before I did. When I went back to the front desk for updates, no one seemed to know what was going on, including housekeeping and the room coordinator. Not the best way to start a vacation. The food and drinks were hit or miss. The first-day buffet was just okay, and the drinks at the lobby bar were honestly pretty bad. However, after getting to know a few of the bartenders throughout my 5-days stay, the drinks started to get a little better. I was also supposed to receive a welcome bottle of wine and a letter from the general manager, but never got either. On the last day, I spoke with someone named Tracey during breakfast, and she was very apologetic and genuinely tried to make things right. Since it was our last day, I decided not to make a bigger issue out of it. The highlight of the trip was definitely the spa. I originally booked a 25-minute body scrub but upgraded after the jets in our rented cabana barely worked most of the time. The staff made up for it by giving us complimentary hydrotherapy and 20% off a longer service. The scalp massage alone was worth it, and the entire spa experience was amazing. Maria was fantastic! The entertainment at the resort was also a little underwhelming. Overall, I found out the resort is still fairly new (about two years old), so it seems like they're still working out some operational kinks. The stay had some frustrating moments, but there were definitely a few bright spots too.
