Make Memories NOW! Cleanest camp ground we have ever been to , spacious camping spots , helpful and friendly staff ! Off the hook, special events at holidays!! We are locals but chose to book at this KOA because we heard their July 4 celebration was off the charts . And can I tell you it did not disappoint. We have a 19 foot travel trailer and we booked a site with full hook ups. There was plenty of room for our gazebo as well as a giant canopy, lots of seating ,and we were not on top of our neighbors. There were so many activities that your kids can do. It was endless fun for the kids . As a parent, It was very comforting to know that my son was safe navigating and exploring the campgrounds because it's in a very private area. We explored the bike trails, hiking trails, and they were very clean and cleared out of debris . We did choose to rent some fun little bikes, as well as a paddle boat for shits and giggles . The small lake there is a gorgeous and very peaceful. The campground itself is pristine, the restrooms, the trash cans, the public swings everything was clean . Not only was the staff kind and helpful. They were super fun as well. There were so many activities planned for July 4. I can't count them all. So many campgrounds, nickel, and dime you want everything and stack the campers in like sardines. This KOA campground was top notch had very reasonable and fair prices. We have already booked again for next year . If you are from out of town, you'll enjoy how close local beaches are as well as downtown. There's also a Charleston fun park that you could walk to including a putt putt little go karts and tons of arcade games for the kids. The fireworks over the lake were lit, pun intended . It was an amazing show and plenty of room for everyone to see. We did bring our dog and there was plenty of places for him to walk as well as a very spacious dog park . When we were at the pancake breakfast, we overheard other guest saying that this KOA was one of the cleanest KOA that they've ever stayed at . I have to agree. Will we see you there next year ? I hope so !

We stayed here with our son and his family during a baseball tournament. They have a gate you need a code for after 7pm. Found the campground to be very clean. The sites are a good size. Some have concrete patios and others don't. You will find a picnic table and firepit at each site. My only negative is there isnt enough signage around leading people to the exit. Also at this KOA you'll find cabin rentals, a pool, recreation center, campers kitchen, playgrounds, a small water play area, ice machines, bikes you can rent, kayak rentals, paddle boat rentals, a small store in the bldg you check in. They have 2 good size ponds that you can fish and a nature trail. The campground is close to a Walmart, McDonalds, Paneta Bread and more. We really enjoyed our time here.

The nature trails and dog park was great. We really enjoyed staying here. The staff were super nice and waving when we would walk by. The sites were clean and trash would be picked up as soon as we put it out. Lots of workers and they were blowing off leaves to cleaning bathhouses to whatever needed done. You could tell they took pride in the place. They had a security gate and that allowed us to rest easier knowing we were safer. Great place! Would come back again!!

Had a really great weekend! The park was gorgeous and the staff went over and beyond! Steve was amazing!! Very insightful, answered all of our questions. Even delivered everything we needed right to our room!! Even drove around the park to notify of a upcoming thunderstorm right before we opened our last bundle of wood!! Our 3 kids tie-dyed shirts with help from Steve and another amazing activity Lady who were very patient and hands on with all 3 of our cranky kids ( 6 hour car ride lol ). Bill in the office was great!! Even enjoyed check-out and shopping for goodies:) would recommend to everyone, definitely coming back!!

The lots near the lake and cabins are terrific, those back further in the park are a bit close together.

I can't believe I didn't review this when we stayed here for a week exactly a year ago! But we're…read morehere again this year, so that should say something! This is a quiet privately owned campground that is a great "home base" for visiting Charleston. With traffic, you are about half an hour away from downtown. Does this place have all the bells and whistles of an RV resort? No, but what it does have is pretty great. Read the reviews from years back, and I can tell you from experience that they continually work to upgrade this park. We see the improvements in just a year, and honestly, it was pretty close to perfect for us last year. Let me address a few of the negative older (very old) reviews. Mud - yes, you are in the Carolinas. It rains. (It's called the Low Country for a reason). Management has put down tons of gravel to address the issue. Not only was it not a problem last year, they have added even more gravel since we were here and despite the recent rain (tonight even), there is no standing water and it has drained. Permanent residents - yes they are here. But unlike other campgrounds where they are insular and sometimes downright unfriendly (or worse, sketchy), the residents here are a community and welcome you with open arms. In fact, they participate in the Kindness Rocks Project (Google it - seriously do). We have never felt more welcome at any other campground then we do here. The new sites are being built - unfortunately not completed for our visit this year, but they are close and they look like they are going to be really nice. Level concrete pads, nice fire pits, etc. Think patio sites at a KOA without the KOA price. Bathrooms and showers - we don't need to use them, however I have looked and they are well maintained and have been updated. In fact just today, the maintenance people were meeting with a resident (who also doesn't need to use them) listening to her ideas to further improve them. I overheard them. Not being able to book a specific site - so last year (our first) we weren't able to, but we wouldn't have known what to ask for anyway. We were put in C-7 (highly recommend). This year they sent an email to ask and we said a new site, but if they weren't complete yet, we'd love to have C-7 again. Guess where I am writing this review from! It is pretty obvious that the staff tries to accommodate guests. The Train - yes, there are tracks close by and they are in use. Do they disturb? Not really. We don't even hear it at night in our camper. During the day? We've heard it twice when we are outside. As in twice per day - it blows once as it approaches the crossing. Big deal? No. Not really at all. I could go on and on (and probably already have) about why we really like this place - suffice it to say: Friendly and responsive staff, welcoming residents, a country feel this close to Charleston and accessibility (if you are looking at the place up the street (that has Oak in the name, good luck getting in or out, especially during morning and afternoon rush) will keep us coming back to Lake Aire.

My GPS sent me way past it, so watch that... Very clean &…read morequiet park.. laundry available. Restrooms & showers are sufficient. It would be nice to have more benches for your "stuff". The handicapped showers water pressure was nil, so I switched to another stall & it was fine... The WiFi was spotty so I just used my own Jetpack. I would stay here again...
