I have used these guys in the past for two complete new HVAC systems. They have always been professional, courteous and forthright. My mother-in-laws air conditioner was not working so I decided to call them for service on her nearly 40 year old system. Tristan came out and I truly expected the old proverbial "well this system is so old it needs to be replaced." To my surprise I didn't get that! Tristan had the problem diagnosed within a couple of minutes and showed me exactly what had happened and why the AC wasn't working. He was able to repair the unit with a new part and Did Not over-charge. I know how hard it is to find good help these days. I think all business owners struggle with this. Guy came over was here 15 minutes. I explained the problem he said yep your blower motor is going. Then spent 25 minutes in his truck writing out a quote. 1195 dollars for a blower motor replacement. While he was in his truck I did a quick search on amazon. Oem 213 dollars, for after market 179. I have never worked on a furnace nor even opened one up. I timed this, 38 minutes to pull this motor out. 29 to put it back in. It cost me 180 dollars for him to listen to me and tell me what I already knew based on the error codes given off by the furnace. Which I told him what the error codes were when he arrived. What pisses me off isn't that they came in with a ridiculously dumb quote. It is that they try to lock you into staying with them by a huge fee and then 4x the price of the part/labor. For me yep I can and will tell them to pound sand. But the fact that they are doing that to people that can't do what I am able to. Charging a huge fee to a cold person, old or young just because they don't know any better. May your company burn in hell. read more

After bad experiences with a couple of HVAC companies, we were happy to get a good referral to Mountain Air Comfort Systems. Although our heater would not light when it should nor ever attain the set temperature, we were willing to wait the week that Mountain Air told us it would take to service our call just to get someone reliable. So during record cold temperatures, I periodically reset the furnace, used space heaters and blankets, and layered on extra clothing while waiting for our appointment. On the fourth day after our service request, Mountain Air called and told us that we were outside their area for service calls, only new installations. We'd need to find someone else and they did not even have a recommendation. No reputable HVAC business should cancel on a customer after having them wait four days for a necessary service call! read more

We had whole-house steam humidifiers installed in our newly built house two winters ago. Throughout that winter, the humidifiers repeatedly conked out. Over the summer, Dan @Mountain Air had all three replaced with a newer model at no charge. Since then, I've had no issues whatsoever. Excellent work by Eric and his crew! The installation was not easy, a retrofit in an 80+ year old home, but they did a fantastic job from start to finish. Eric spent the extra time needed to determine exactly how the system should be installed, so there would be no surprises. Once they started the work, it was done on time, on budget, with a minimum of disruption in my home life, and with very little construction debris. Eric was very patient throughout the process, and very thorough in his explanation of the system. I very much appreciated that the entire crew - not just Eric - understood that they were in someone's home and treated it with respect. I am an extremely satisfied ! If you prefer to be treated as a customer and NOT a service ticket, I highly recommend this company! After all is said and done, I wish I had called Mountain Air first. If I would have contacted Mountain Air, this would have saved me 4.5 weeks of grief dealing with other companies who were disorganized, unable to keep appointments and would only show up to work a partial day. Yes, I was kept on the hook by other companies for that long with empty promises of we will be there today, tomorrow, next Wednesday...then they would not show up... or call to say they had to move the date. At one time I had 3 appointments by 3 different companies in a single week just hoping that one of them would show up that week. My situation was bad, I purchased a foreclosed house which was supposedly winterized which we later found out to not be accurate. The house had over 19 pipe breaks in the radiant heat system that had to be repaired before the Boiler could be worked on. However, my experience with Mountain Air went like this. I called Mountain Air on a Tuesday, December 13th 2016 at 5:15 p.m after yet another plumbing company could not make it and spoke with Cris, who told me that it was after hours and she was not in the office, but would call me back in the morning to setup an appointment. Wednesday morning I spoke with Cris and explained my history and I needed a plumber for a full day to fix all these breaks. She set me up with an appointment for the following Monday. However, on Thursday morning she called back and said she had an opening on Friday and would I like to have them stop by. ( Heck yes I would! , as this weekend it was going to be a -8 on Saturday and I was getting stressed about things freezing ) Thursday night, I got a phone call from the Tech Michael Stahl checking in to make sure he understood what was needed for the next day and if he should pick up any special parts. Then on Friday morning, he was on the job site at 8:05 a.m. ready to work. Yes.. that is not a typo error! He was on time and ready to go, unlike his competitors who would show up at 10:45 and 3:30 and leave in 2 hours Michael stayed until 6:30 p.m that night ( no lunch breaks ) and was able to get 5 out of 6 zones repaired and then fired up the boiler and got heat in that house before the cold front hit the next day. On Monday he came back and finished the last zone and then last night ( Wednesday ) he added Glycol to the system to protect my pipes from cold in the future. The office manager Azalia ? was kind and kept me in the loop as to the status of things. Other notable mentions: Michael came back and replaced zone valves and cleaned up the wiring so it looked professional and organized. ( I liked that too ! ) As you can tell, I am very pleased with how quickly things were repaired and how I felt like a customer. I totally "get it " why this company has 5 star rating. read more

After burning through one incompetent firm and another with shady pricing/billing practices, I gave Mountain Air a call. The staff in the office are very organized, accommodating, and friendly. I had a very complicated AC issue and they promised a technician would call me back to discuss. The technician (Tyler) did call me back and I could tell right away that he knew what he was talking about. Tyler accurately diagnosed and replaced defective TXV valves on two AC units that are now working beautifully. And...he also correctly diagnosed and replaced a control board on a furnace that was showing up as a pressure switch problem (3 blinking light error code.) What I love about this company is that I got a very skilled, competent, professional tech to work on my HVAC equipment and he got it fixed right the first time. I was quoted a price to perform the work and that was the price on the bill I was presented. If there was additional work involved, I was told upfront and directly what the cost would be before the work was done. The repairs were not inexpensive and this firm charges the going rates, as did the first two firms I dealt with that wasted my time and failed miserably and put my equipment at risk for damage. I don't mind paying the going rates so long as the work is good and it's done right the first time. I can't speak about any other technicians at the company but can say with confidence - if Tyler is representative of the rest of the Mountain Air technical team, then you will be very pleased with this firm and the quality of work and service in every way.
