I'm typically not disappointed by this restaurant because I have always ordered a salad. Greek wedding is my fave. However, I branched out and got the chicken/veggie soup and crab cake at the advisement of our server because I was told there was no gluten containing ingredients in either of those dishes. Well, it's the 3rd day since eating that meal and I'm still sick from digesting gluten. If you are gluten free, do not bother with anything on their menu unless it's a cold salad with no croutons. Ugh, I'm even missing work over this. I wish food establishments would get with the program and realize people have real problems with gluten and other allergies. I have to go there for work functions sometimes, but I certainly won't be eating anything my server suggests!! read more

Food was terrible. Our waitress was strung out and took 35 minutes for us to get our drinks. We were at brunch on Sunday which was a serve yourself buffet so all the waitress had to do was bring us drinks and she couldn't even do that. Then at the end of our terrible brunch (food was bad and the stations were dirty) she proceeded to say that the owners wife paid for our food and we said ok but were confused and asked her what was going on and left her a generous tip considering we didn't have to pay. Then as we left the waitress runs out and then says we need to pay and that no body paid for our bill... we were confused as she just told us the owners wife took care of it. Although this waitress ruined our experience the food was absolutely terrible, cold, and dirty stations. We've had multiple bad experiences here and then we decided to give it another chance and it was terrible again. We will not be coming back here read more

My wife and I had dinner in the pub tonight, December 3 around 7:30 pm. What a terrible experience, there was a table with 1 immature drunk man and 2 old drunk women I guess you could call them. He said one "F" word after another and the so called women were cussing worse than sailors. Wow, you all need to freaking grow up an stop acting like immature jerks and stop disrespecting the Jewish heritage. Please for god sake act your age and not your shoe size. Other than that the salmon on the cesar salad was excellent. The one star was for the idiots acting like children learning how to cuss. The restaurant management should take a stance and deal with the problem before it escalates to another level. Arrived on time for our reservation when the hostess warned us that they were very busy due to an unexpected crowd from a tournament that had taken place there that day. We were seated and the hostess took our non alcoholic drink orders (I assume she is not old enough to serve alcohol?) while we watched the servers scrambling all around, obviously very busy. Took forever to finally be approached by a server who took our alcohol orders then disappeared for 10 mins. We ordered the Chesapeake Nachos (or something along the lines of that) which was supposed to be homemade chips, corn, creme friache, cheeses, and pico topped with lump crab meat. What we got was homemade chips smothered in thin cream of crab soup, pico and a few lumps of crab meat, while it was good because by now we had been there for 30 mins and were starving it was nothing like the menu. We let the manager know and he obviously had no idea what the menu description was and told us that they got a new chef a few months ago who changes things up(?!) but thanks for letting him know. Anyway, it took literally 65 mins for our food to come. We had to ask for bread. Did I mention we have three young children? Our food came, it was ok, but our server never stopped by to ask or check in with us. They were apologetic - blaming it on the tournament (shouldn't a restaurant on a golf course be prepared with more staff when there is a tournament going on? This wasn't a surprise) They offered us dessert on the house which we didn't really want but took it anyway - this was a nice gesture but why wouldn't they comp something that we waited HOURS to get instead of making us stay longer? We were at the restaurant for over 2.5 hours which is totally ridiculous in my opinion. Poor service, ok food, bad management. We will not be back. read more

I had lunch here today with my friends and their three children (ages 2-4), and I have to say it was some of the worst service I have ever had! As a person who has chosen not to have children, I understand some places are not kid-friendly. But, if you have a children's menu, especially at lunch time, you had better be kid friendly. To begin with, the hostess took forever to wrangle up two high chairs, and I had to ask her for crayons, since there were pictures to color on the back of the kids' menu. Then, my appetizer was brought out before the kids' food. So we're supposed to eat an appetizer when there are hungry kids at the table. We began to wonder how long it could possibly take to make a grilled cheese. I had to ask them to expedite the kids' food, and I had to flag the waitress over desperately every time she got within eyesight, because she was not about to stop at the table on her own. I will concede that the food was delicious. I have eaten here before and it always is. In fact, if you are reading this, Mountain Branch, my husband and I love to eat dinner out (sans kids - we don't have them). We usually order appetizers, drinks, and sometimes dessert with our meal, and we tip extremely well. I was a customer in the bar this past Sunday. I was extremely disappointed in the manager on duty. He was very cocky and rude to several customers. I was sitting at the bar and watching him mock and talk about customers in the restaurant. I was disgusted! He was unprofessional and I witnessed him telling a customer he would take his food away and he could go somewhere else. WOW, that was shocking because any other manager would have offered something in return or discounted the food. We went to dinner here this past Friday. The food was OK. Not horrible, but definitely not the best. My husband got the restaurant week special crab cakes and I got a filet. His appetizer was calamari and he said they were a little chewier than the norm. I got a classic Caesar salad. It was fine. The crab cakes my husband got was "runny" and the filet I got didn't even seem like a filet. It was to be cooked medium and was a bit over cooked and tough. The door we were seated by was swarming with flies, so we spent all of dinner swatting those away. Most importantly though, our server was not the best. She seemed uninterested in being there, yelled to us from the serving stand by the door, was not all that attentive, and me being a bit of a germ freak at restaurants, she did a few things that were just really unsanitary. I also noticed the bussers had their towels in their back pocket. Again, not only unsanitary, but just not very professional either. TERRIBLE, INCOMPETENT SERVICE!!! I took my mother here for mother's day and we got an outdoor seating with an umbrella but when a breeze came it lifted the entire table and dropped the entire table onto my mother's big toe. She might be dealing with a dead nail and can't walk now because of this but that's not the worst part. The service was so dodgy it took us 20 minutes to get a simple alcohol wipe but worst- they didn't even have a first aid kit. The waiter was panicing but negated any simple help and said they didn't have a first aid kit. Then comes the manager, who claims they have a huge first aid kit but couldn't bring anything to us. She only had ALCOHOL WIPES of all things! The food itself was basic, the same quality as IHOP, so why the hell did it cost 91$ for two people?! read more

Came here with 4 other people on Sunday for their brunch buffet. The brunch was amazing! For unlimited mimosas and bloody marys, the brunch buffet is $25 per person and it was money well spent. They had everything from pancakes, eggs, chicken marsala, baked fish, rolls, salads, sausage, smoked salmon, etc. The food was great and the service was good as well. For the unlimited bloody marys, you can make your own at their bloody mary bar. I will definitely go to brunch again. We made a reservation and I'm glad we did because there were a lot of larger parties during the time that we were there. read more

What a waste of a beautiful sunny Mother's Day! I had read a number of good reviews for the buffet luncheon at Mount Branch Grill, went ahead and made reservations for 8 people, what a mistake! It started bad, continued to be bad, and ended bad. The grill area is not designed to accommodate large groups of people entering the place together. People waiting for their tables are bunched at the front area together with diners trying to get their food from the buffet tables. These tables are lined up at the entrance way door of the grill. The table we were seated in was meant for 6 with 2 additional chairs stuffed on the sides, elbow to elbow eating. When I made reservation I had asked what would be on the menu, I was told prime rib and other items, there was NO prime rib and instead they had bland ham and dry processed turkey. As for the other foods, everything was cold and bland and covered with some sort of cream sauce. The beef tips were rubbery and required some serious jaw muscles to eat. Pork loin was cold and bland, the cod was cold and bland. As for starch, you had a choice of bland mashed potatoes or greasy potato cuts or out of the box mac and cheese. At $33 per person, I expected more as well as soft drinks to be included, alas ALL drinks were extra, soda was $2.75 each. As if things could get any worse, the grill adds a 19 percent tip, no matter how bad service is to groups of 6 or more. 19 percent for a buffet dinner where the waitress was openly pissed at the world and our table. Had it not been for the good conversation from family, I would have walked out! Tried this once never again. read more

Our family had a large lunch party at Mountain Branch today, and were SO disappointed. The service was slow at best, the waitress wasn't at all helpful, and more times than not, had an attitude with us. We asked for seperate checks before we got started, and also let her know that we know gratuity is going to be included. This was the first of many times the server rolled her eyes at us. 3 out of 12 of the orders were wrong, but we kept the food. When I asked for tarter sauce for my crabcake, she came back twice to say she had forgotten, and then never brought it anyhow. When we asked for BBQ sauce, she said they had none. Went to Mountain Branch for the Easter Brunch. We were disappointed. We had reservations for 2:00 in the afternoon. There were 12 in our party. Though we had reservations, we still had to wait 45 minutes for a table. Fortunately it was a nice day and we were able to sit outside. Once we were seated, the buffet table was empty on many items and not re-filled quickly. It seemed like they were not prepared for the large crowds. On a positive note, the hostess and waiter were very accommodating, And the food was good, but not outstanding. We will not return again for the Easter Brunch. read more

went there for a mother's day brunch 5/8/16. Pretty setting, however, line was constantly long to get food, service was so slow it took about 1/2 hour to get a drink. Waiter was assigned too many tables. Couldn't get our check, then once we got the check couldn't find the waiter. We ordered 4 bloody mary's. Worst bloody mary we ever had and there were 4 people saying the same thing. Cost $7.00 per person for each drink. Cost of the buffet was $35 a person, definitely not worth the money. It was very good, might not have been enough food without the soup and appetizer. This rating was severely tainted by the lack of friendliness from the bartender. She was apparently overwhelmed, even though it really wasn't that busy. This caused her to be pretty short and irritated with people all over the bar. A coworker and I played a round of golf and then popped into the bar for a drink afterwards as well as to grab some food. The course was awesome, the sandwiches were great, but when we tried to use the drink tickets we apparently didn't fill them out correctly as she very smartly pointed out to us. Does she expect that we have done this before? We were asking what we needed to do and what we got with the tickets and didn't expect the attitude. Anyway, we had a good experience everywhere else but I just can't get past the terrible attitude of the bartender. She is definitely getting cranky in her old age. read more

October 15, 2017. Took a friend there for a birthday lunch. Our waitress was wonderful which is why 4 stars for service.The menu is so limited and boring. If you are a vegetarian, don't bother. Nothing for us. The caesar salad was tasteless and the some of the lettuce was brown. The MARGHERITA Flatbread was soggy and consisted of a bland "house" tomato sauce with a basil leaf on each slice and a glob of barely melted mozzarella cheese and it was cold when served. It was unappetizing to look at and worse when I tried to eat it. One in our group wanted a crab cake. I asked where they get their crabmeat. The waitress checked and they get their crabmeat from China. The tables were sticky, the floor was dirty and the menu had food stains on it. The entire experience was just gross. Great view of the golf course though if that is what you i want instead of a decent lunch. Lunch for three people with drinks. $144.00 plus $28.00 tip.
