I am writing this review to let everyone know about the wonderful care my husband received at Mountain Manor. He was in really bad shape, not being able to walk or communicate with me. He had gotten very weak after spending five weeks in the hospital. My daughters and I had never seen him like this and at one point thought he was going to die. After a few weeks his health improved and a Sutter doctor said he would need physical therapy before he would be able to go home. The nurse at the hospital handed us a list. However, when we toured the places on the the list, they were all run down, smelled foul and in a few places,the staff were unfriendly. We toured one place around lunch time and the patients looked like they had been served slop. It seemed hopeless. Just when I had given up and was going to settle for the lesser of two evils, I received a call from Crystelle the director of Mountain Manor. She explained to me that Mountain manor had accepted my husband into their therapy program and invited me to see the facility with my own eyes. I searched for Mountain manor on the list given to me by the hospital, but they were not on it. She explained to me that Sutter only gives their patient's a list of 'preferred facilities" or facilities that they are contracted with. She also guided me to which website we could go to compare the government and State ratings of each facility before picking one. My daughters and i immediately did our research and found that the many of ones on the hospital's list were poorly rated. Mountain however had mostly really positive reviews so that is the one we chose. Within an hour of my husband being there, we knew we had made the right decision. The staff were so thoughtful and quickly came to his room with a warm dinner tray and a new, clean hospital gown. Within a few weeks, he had put on the weight he lost in the hospital and was walking with a walker. He continued to improve and quickly became his old self again. I feel in my heart that if my husband had gone to another facility he would not have received the type of care he received at mountain manor rehab. read more

Mountain Manor is a nursing facility rehabilitation. I want to thank all of the staff that was so outstanding some of the best CNAs, RNs, nursing director Aja Glasco. Thank you for making my stay a blessed one she made sure that I was in a room that I was comfortable in they put me in a room with the woman called Tony Kelly she became my friend she made 90 years old when I was in the facility with her. If you have a family member that's in need of care this is the place to bring them they definitely will be loved and taken care of and respect it and if you don't get that respect all you have to do is go to the director and she will take care of that. I also want to thank the discharging team Carmen did an awesome job in making sure that all my business was taken care of before I left the facility. There is one lady particularly one of the CNA her name is Kim I just want to tell her personally thank you she handled me with care like a baby in her arms when I didn't know what was going on she was always right on time she never was late and coming to check in on me and Miss Tony she's on the knock team I just wanted to tell you Kim thank you I love you for your compassion and your patience You are outstanding I think you should be one of the nurses of the year for CNA. If you are looking for one of the best Skilled Nursing Facilities there is then look no further. I have been to a few in the past few years and nothing compares to the Care, attentiveness, and professional from ever level of employee at this facility. From the owner to the Nurses. CNA's and Physical Therapists all of which seemed to be competing for the best and caring employee award. I wanted for nothing and was treated with dignity and respect that we all deserve. The staff is one big happy family and they all seem to love where there work and each other. The facility is clean and the rooms are cleaned thoroughly everyday. The food is great with options provided if you are not satisfied with that days menu. Kudos to the leadership as it is obvious that someone has put together a program that encourages the fantastic culture that exists at Mountain Manor. I want to express my sincere gratitude to all the wonderful staff at Mountain Manor. I entered this facility with little faith and hope that I would get better after a horrible accident. I was hit by a car walking across the street and suffered broken bones throughout my whole body including a severed spinal cord. These injuries left me with no feeling from the neck to my toes. Being paralyzed was something I never would of imagined and I lost faith I'd ever be normal again. The staff here were simply amazing. They not only made sure I was taken care of but showed such compassion and gave me back my faith and hope that I'd be able to get through this tragedy. With alot of hard work and guidance from an awesome physical therapy team I am leaving here knowing I will walk again and be ok. I not only received the most professional care I'd ever of imagined while here, they also made sure my transition of going home with after care and therapy which they will follow upon my discharge. Mountain Manor truly goes above and beyond and I highly recommend this facility to anyone who may need their services. When my mom went to the hospital for a perforated bowel surgery, her doctor said that she may need skilled rehab after. We've never even heard of skilled rehab before and had no idea how to even find one! We went online and picked a few places that had good online reviews. The first one we stopped at smelled so horrible that we didn't even want to go past the lobby. In addition to that, we heard yelling from down the hall. Pretty scary! At the second one, none of the employees greeted us or acknowledged us whatsoever for about 10 minutes. We walked through the building and no one ever stopped us! Mountain Manor was the third facility we toured. A maid saw us enter and immediately asked us if we needed help. She showed us to the lobby where we waited until someone was able to show us around. We noticed right away that the facility had no foul odors, was clean and was not loud like the others. A very nice CNA showed the gym, nurses station and an empty room. All of the workers we passed smiled and greeted us. Plus all of the patients looked happy, clean and well dressed. We admitted my mom a few days later. She was greeted by the owner and nurses director, and was instantly out at ease by the friendliness of everyone. Thank you Mountain Manor staff for taking great care of my mom! read more

My aunt had spinal stenosis and prior to surgery, she could not walk or take care of herself without any help. She had upper and lower spinal surgery. We visited the facility on a Sunday and were shown around. We were very impressed as to how clean the facility was and how friendly all the staff was. She was transported and admitted on Monday evening. When we first were shown to her room, we were met by Keith and checked in. The following morning, it seemed like the entire staff had come in to meet with her and welcome her in. Next was the PT staff to assess her and formulate a plan to get her back home. It was decided that she would get 2 therapy sessions a day 5 days a week, 1 with physical therapy and 1 with occupational therapy. When family would visit her, all the staff was so nice and sincere. Any time we asked for something or had questions, the staff would always help to accommodate or attempt to find a solution. After 5+ weeks she was able to walk out of there and we felt like we were treated like family. We have made some special bonds and I would like to thank each and every one of the staff. I created a new Yelp account specifically to share my experience with this facility. I can't speak highly enough about Mountain Manor. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and cared for. The staff is incredibly professional, compassionate, and attentive to patients and their families. Case Manager Ayesa demonstrated professionalism, compassion, and a genuine commitment to ensuring the best outcomes for me. I can't thank you enough! Kimberly's attention to detail, quick responses, and ability to navigate complex situations with my worker's comp case made all the difference. It's clear that she cares deeply about the patients and go above and beyond to ensure every need is met. I just wanted to share our experience with Mountain Manor Rehabilitation Center. My elderly mom stayed there recently, and honestly we were really happy with how everything turned out. The therapy team was amazing. They really took their time with her and you could tell they actually cared, not just doing their job but really helping her get stronger. That meant a lot to us. The food was also really good (and this is coming from my mom who is kinda picky lol). I honestly think that was her favorite part... she still talks about it. She even went back to visit a couple days after being discharged, and I'm pretty sure part of that was just to see everyone and maybe get a good meal again haha. What stood out the most was how comfortable she felt there. She kept saying it didn't feel like a facility, it felt more like family. She enjoyed all the activities and actually looked forward to them, which surprised me. Overall, she really enjoyed her stay and I'm glad we chose this place. It made a stressful situation a lot easier on our family. read more

Have a need for some Rehabilitation IV therapy or some strengthening or to Healing a wound Mountain Manor has the best team That shows professionalism and knowledge of what their task is to be completed. Some people when they hear nursing rehabilitation centers think that is just the last stop of life but here at Mount Manor it's full of life and energy and they the staff keeps you Motivated to get your strength and get back to where you can continue living your life outside of Mountain Manner. Like the old saying if there's a will there's a way. Now understanding that you can't please everyone but it's the effort that you put in that counts and at Mountain Manor they the staff put in the effort sometimes the outcome is pleasing and sometimes outcomes are not so pleasing to some people. What a beautiful experience. The director Kimberly called me and reassured my mother would be taking care of . This transition was all new to me ,and as my mother was healing I had just started my new job with not a lot of time to visit as I wanted to . The staff was incredible. The staff Keith was amazing helping my mother get settled in. The entire staff has supported and helped my mother heal . Even on my mother's hard days this facility still remain professional by giving my mother the best service. They made her feel safe and welcome . My mother has improved since being in this rehab care . My family and I are so grateful for the customer service . The extra things all the nurses provided for my mother . This skilled Nursing Facility is fantastic. I was a patient there for rehabilitation after my hospital stay to get my legs working and keep walking. When I arrived there I was in bad shape, after a 14 days stay now I can walk a half of a mile. Now I have graduated from a wheel chair to a walker to now a cane. It is hard work but with the staff's support anything was possible. Jim the owner was and is very caring. I have been back to visit and show the staff how I have progressed. Their PT & OT was caring & fantastic. The nutrition Director is phenomenal, she truly cares. The nursing staff truly cares and deserves an A++++ especially Monday & Erik to just name a few. We highly recommend Mountain Manor. This is a five-star facility check them out you'll see this is the best place to go for post-surgery rehab. Everyone's professional and compassionate in all they do for the patients and went above and beyond for my father. We felt at ease knowing dad was in good hands. Love the welcoming lobby It was perfect for visiting with family and friends. They have a beautiful courtyard, super spacious rooms with views of the courtyard. Its a super clean, happy/healthy healing environment for rehabilitation. Amazing physical and occupational therapists the best in Sacramento! My dad had nothing but upbeat wonderful things to say while he was at Mountain Manor. Hi - I went to Mountain Manor from surgery at UCSF for a short term rehab tenure. My experience was amazing! The nurses, practitioners, cna' s and administrative staff were incredible. I felt very much at "home" there with all the special care and consideration. The rehab team was great; both in PT and OT services - a shout out to VIvian and her team! The grounds are beautiful with an incredible outdoor garden space in the centerpiece of the facility. Jim Jordan made everyone feel welcome and special. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone in seeking care & support for a loved one. The food was not interesting or inviting - I'm a great cook and critic in this department, so a bit more particular than most. I'd like to commend Keith, April, Ayasea, Jaz, for their amazing care! Having been involved is snf care for 40+ years and visiting many northern CA facilities I can speak to the care and compassion of said nursing homes. Mountain Manor has gone through many renovations recently taking great care to make the building functional and comfortable for it's residents. It is pleasing to the eye and the residents are actively involved in all aspects of their daily needs and activities. The therapy department is committed to rehab to a resident's full potential and many are able to return home functioning independently. The staff Is attentive and caring, and greets visitors promptly with respect. Management maintains an open door policy to residents, families and staff members. Great building. Jim and his staff made all the difference in making a choice for my mother's stay. We reviewed five different nursing homes in the area and as far as facilities and aesthetics all were relatively the same. It was the "light" at Mountain Manor, the feeling of really caring, which made us decide to go there. Mom was an exceptionally difficult case, and we believe we were released from the hospital pre-maturely, which made her care very intense. The staff at the Mountain Manor handled my mother's short stay with grace and efficiency. Mom was eventually taken back to the hospital, with other complications resulting from being released too early. My father, who is a veteran, stayed at Mountain Manor Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Carmichael after a bad fall at home that resulted in a hip fracture. When he arrived, he couldn't walk or manage daily activities on his own. Thanks to the daily physical therapy sessions, he made an incredible recovery and was back to his independent lifestyle in just about three weeks. A huge shoutout to Jim, the physical therapist, who played a big role in that progress. What stood out just as much as the therapy was the staff. Every single person we encountered was kind, respectful, and genuinely caring. They were always smiling and treated my dad with dignity, which meant a lot to our family. The facility itself including admissions Kimberly, nursing, rehab, and dietary is absolutely amazing, top-notch, and up to the highest standards - no doubt about that. But seriously, one bad apple can ruin the whole bunch, and in this case, that bad apple is their CARMEN discharge planner in social services. As a nurse, I have dealt with plenty of amazing facilities but this was by far the worst customer service experience I've ever had. Clients deserve to be treated with respect and courtesy. But this lady clearly missed that memo. I expected better from a place like this. It's such a shame that one person can tarnish the reputation of an otherwise fantastic facility. Recently I returned home from a very good Skilled Nursing Facility, Mountain Manor (located in Carmichael). It was my second stay there. Over the last twelve years I have also stayed in three other SNF's and I would definitely not recommend any of them. I went to Mountain Manor for rehab after major surgery. I received very good care and attention, which helped me in my recovery, and I was able to get a lot of good rest also. The first time I stayed there the food was excellent and nutritious, even though I don't eat meat or fish. However I would only rate it as ok during this last stay. The facility and my room and bed were comfortable and nice. All of the nurses, CNA's, physical therapists, and other staff that I came in contact with were professional, helpful and very nice. read more

This care facility has the most professional health care nurses I've ever seen. My dad was a resident at Mountain Manor after his hip surgery and he felt completely secure and comfortable in their care. The staff was always available and answered all questions I had concerning his physical recovery. In addition, the facility was always clean and air always smelled fresh. My dad's room was always in nice order, clothes always put away or hanging in the closet and every time my dad had his physical therapy his bed was always made with fresh clean sheets and pillow cases. I highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for a safe, professional,clean environment for their loved one to stay and recover in. read more
