The delivery took forever!! Otherwise was I liked the pizza.

Horrible customer service. Had ordered a pizza for delivery. Came an 1 hour 20 minutes later soggy and cold. The girl said its soggy because you ordered pineapple it's cold because the weather is cold, and the driver has been here for a long time so your order wasn't late. I asked for the manager. I called to place my order and I asked for them to add Jalapeños to my cheesebread. The female employee said she wasn't trained how to do this so they could add them. She then said no one else there knew how to do that also so I can't add them. She said no Manager would be there till Monday and speak to Karen. A month prior to this I ordered a combination pizza and instead gave me a chicken club pizza. Very happy with Mountain Mike's right now. They have the only delivery pizza in town with no soy in the crust and they will make a cheese pizza for my soy-allergic daughter without sauce--which does have soy. Fortunately, we have soy, onion, and pepper-free sauce at home for her to dip into. But we could have ordered it with tomatoes and it would have been just as good. My daughter is so happy she can eat pizza with the rest of the family and not have to feel "different" for a change--and she says it is delicious! Thank you Mountain Mike's in Gilroy. I frequent the lunch buffet often and have come to enjoy the kind staff that was there. Luis and Miranda ran the buffet excellently and always had a smile for the customers. I prefer mountain mikes to any other pizza company here in gilroy, but tonight i received under cooked pizzas and not only was the owner a !@#$%^& jerk, he was fast to tell that i would get no refund unless the pizzas were returned. My family has been coming to this restaurant for years! Every time we come to Gilroy to shop at the outlets we absolutely have to stop by this pizza place before we head home. The staff is incredibly friendly and the owner is amazing. If we ever had any issues (rarely) the owner/manager has gone above and beyond to make sure we are satisfied. I absolutely would recommend this place to anyone, what a wonderful establishment. It's disheartening to see the people on here complaining because they are totally exaggerating about the service not be great! I have been coming to this place for years and always had a pleasant experience!! I also know that people leave terrible reviews just about anywhere when they themselves were in the wrong and they didn't get what they wanted which is usually free stuff or "NICE" discounts!! Just left there. We ordered the dinner buffet. There were multiple hairs in the macaroni salad, most of the items in the salad bar were frozen or not maintained properly. We've gone before and the pizza has been old, but they always asked what pizza we wanted so we would wait for the fresh pizza. We were there at 6:15. I was in charge of finding a place that could serve about 70 high school kids one evening. The customer service here was great; they reserved our tables, pre-made all the pizzas, and were serving us our hot pizzas within a few minutes of getting seated. The pizzas were quite good and they gave us a school discount besides. We were pleased and impressed with how professional and efficient the service was here. Good job Gilroy Mt Mikes! read more

Let me just go about the WORST customer service I have ever in my life experienced from anyone or anywhere. I placed an order at 5:42pm and was given a 45 minute expected delivery which would be 6:27pm. I called at 6:48 to get the status of my order as it has been longer than the expected 45 minutes. She said the driver left 10 minutes ago and we didn't say 45 minutes, we said 45-60. I in turn responded saying irregardless, it has been more than an hour in your timeframe you claim you gave. Then she said with an attitude, well ok then and hung up. The pizza arrived about 10 minutes after that, cold, but I never complained about that. Once we paid for the pizza we went to eat it and realized it was the completely wrong pizza that we waited for an hour and 20 minutes for. We go out to get the driver thinking it was a mistake and that our pizzas were in the car, he was halfway down the street. Immediately, I called and asked for a manager because the girl had been rude on the phone. She said he was out on delivery. She didn't offer to see if she could assist me so I told her well the pizza that we just waited for over an hour is not the pizza we ordered. She gave me the run around with everything and I had to ask for the manager to call me back and she asked me what it was that I wanted done, I said that I wanted the pizza I ordered. She told me that she would call the manager and have him call me. Leaving me with the assumption that I would receive a call shortly and that the pizza would be being made. Well 25 minutes later, I had heard nothing so I called again. I was told that the manager was still not back so how could he call me. I told her that they told me they were going to call him. I asked about the status of my pizza and they said that they couldn't make a new pizza without asking the manager. I said forget about the pizza but this was ridiculous and I want the manager to call me back she said ok. Being that I did not need them to remake the pizza anymore, I figured I wasn't going to get a call right away. At 9:59pm I called to speak to the manager and I was told he still was not back and got hung up on. I called right back and said this is ridiculous that the customer service is horrible. She said she would have the manager call me and I said well your guys words mean nothing to me because I have been told this all night. She said well that's nice of you to say. And then she tried to cover up the phone and said to whoever else was working there what I had just said which I found to be insulting and rude. I then asked her for her name and she hung up on me. I called again and a man answered and I went through all this again with him. He said that the manager had to go home real quick and would be right back and would call me when he came back and I asked for his managers name. He told me his managers name is Jesse. I then asked him for the girl's name and he said he didn't know. Which at that point knew he was obviously lying because you could hear her in the background and I asked his name, he then hung up on me. I called back again and got the girl again and I asked for the corporate number to contact about this and she of course didn't have this information. She said there is nothing she could do, and I again asked her for her name, she would not give it to me and she said I was being rude because they are closed and I am keeping her from doing her work. Last I checked, customer service is her number 1 job duty and should be top priority. She then hung up again. This is the most ridiculous experience that one can even imagine. I will not go to this Mountain Mike's again and neither will any of my family that go here frequently. I am a manager myself and I know that I would never let my employees get away with this kind of treatment to our customers and cannot believe that Mountain Mike's would allow this! possibly the worst mountain mikes in the history of mountain mikes. i have worked at mountain mikes a long time ago. the pizza was always delicious... somehow, this place seems to screw it up more times than i can count. the owner or workers seems to be about cutting costs because everytime i order a combo pizza, there are hardly any toppings. mountain mikes is supposed to have a "mountain" full of toppings but you would think you ordered from a subpar pizza parlor like pizza hut or little caesars. at least when i order from pizza hut or little caesars, i don't expect good pizza so what the heck. mountain mikes in gilroy... you really, really suck!!! read more

SO disappointed! We are locals and have been here before but we took our boys to the all you can eat pizza night and we left very unhappy. They were warming pizza up from their earlier buffet at lunch. When we arrived there was some pretty sad looking cheese pizza in the warmer. An hour later it was still sitting there. My boys had each gotten a slice of it when we arrived and neither one ate it because they said that it was bad. When I told the girl at the counter she said actually it's still good but it's just that we had it in a box. We asked them several times if they were going to make any fresh pizza because it was very obvious that all of the pizza they were putting out was reheated (not fresh), they just put out old pizza over and over again. Finally I asked the delivery man about it and he yelled out to the kitchen to make a pizza for the buffet. Just as we were getting ready to leave they brought out a small fresh pizza. This was definitely not a good value for our money, it was very bad service, and a disgrace to think that you can serve customers garbage and that we will go back. I will never order from here again! Mountain Mike's should never offer delivery if they cannot deliver in a decent time. How they are still in business in Gilroy baffles me. I normally like Mtn Mikes as a chain but the one in Gilroy have the rudest people working there! I called after an hour asking for the status of my delivery order and the person who answered the phone says " Oh the driver just left".... My response was are you kidding me? Then she asked "Do you want to speak to someone else?"...not a manager but someone else. I spoke to that someone else and she BS'd me and said they called me a couple of times but said it was the wrong #. I asked them to repeat the # they had and it was the correct #. The driver was able to dial the correct # and said we were rude cause we asked where our pizza was when he called for directions to our house. Horrible customer service and I hope they shut this place down or replace it with all new management or better people with customer service skills. These people seem to not care about the customers.
