Mountain Mikes used to be a favorite of mine as a kid and then I moved away and never saw this brand anymore. Living in a location with a MM again has made me so happy. If you love to eat the crust then this pizza is for you because its got a crisp underbelly and a crisp outer, with a soft and elastic inner crust. As a kid I would always order extra cheese and extra pepperoni, so for my first order in 20+ years, I decided to take it back old school and do the same. I also added mushrooms and black olives and made it a Large and it came to about $35. I realize that is a huge chunk of money for one meal with about 12 slices (I think), but I don't eat pizza often, so it's a treat as any other meal out would be. It did take about an hour to pick-up in store, but they let you know the time-frame ahead of time when ordering from the website. And when you order online, it'll also send you an email confirmation. I enjoy MM because it is a distinct style and flavor that I could pick out of a line-up just like how many people could tell what Little Caesars is vs. DiGiorno. I've been a customer for a long time but Mt. Mike's in Gilroy has REALLY deteriorated in the last few two years or so. Customer Service is horrific. I have been left on hold for 15 minutes, hung up on, and re-put on hold when the kid taking my phone order couldn't understand my information after the 7th time. Prices HAVE INCREASED DRAMATICALLY. Yesterday we paid almost $20 for an order of 12 chicken wings (!), more expensive than Wing Stop and Mt Mike's wings are the frozen type! When I see businesses increase their prices like Mt Mike's in Gilroy has, I believe they are losing business and attempting to recoup their losses thru price increase. Mt. We've always had a great experience with delivery from here. We recently ordered delivery from them the other day and the service was prompt, order was accurate and the pizzas were delicious! Local businesses are still suffering due to the pandemic so I encourage you to give them a try if you haven't yet. My favorite go to pizza from here is the Robber's Roost with red sauce. The customer service has really gone down the drain here. Id hate to say it but many of the staff thats been hired has been under trained and it shows. Many of the standard customer service qualitys are missing in this establishment. Such as smiles, politeness and attitude. Its a real shame. As for the pizza, we had ordered a cheese and pepperoni, a combination and a Hawaiian. The oonly one that wasnt under cooked was the Hawaiian pizza. It was very tasty and my kids loved that they didnt hold back on the amount of pineapple topping. Yummy. Plus the canadian bacon was thin enough for my kiddos to chew through =) So maybe this review will help them weed out the good employees from the replaceable ones. Delicious pizza and fast service. Ordered over the phone and our pizza was ready for pick up before the expected 30 minutes. One of the servers kindly thought to send us out with paper plates for serving which I had not thought of. My favorite is the chicken pizza! Warm and friendly service. The manager was kind enough to talk about their beer selection and how they select their choices. I was impressed with how much effort they put into the process even though they are a larger chain restaurant. The owner has always treated me with respect and welcoming service. I enjoyed our conversations and she genuinely inquired about me, where I was from, and what brought me to Gilroy (typically passing through on the way to L.A.). Today we called to order a pizza. We were told it would be 1 hour for delivery. 1 hour 20 min later NO PIZZA, we called again. Female clerk tells my husband you gave the wrong address. Nooo he gave the right address.( I heard my husband give the address, he was correct) When the driver returnes I'll send them back to deliver it.( now, we have been a customer for years ... litterly years. We ordered for delivery 1 time to a different address. Because of that they changed our address in the system.) The girl called back and said the driver had returned and she was going to send them to deliver. My husband said I dont want a cold pizza. She said it's the same pizza do you want it or do you want to cancel the order. In my husband's frustration he canceled the order. I was not happy so I called back to talk to the manager. Karen the owner got on the phone. Being no part of the original conversation she backed up her clerk 100% and basically called me & my husbands lires. I will not get pizza from karen again. Because i( a person in retail believes you dont alienate customers) apparently Karen has sooo many customers and we are expandable. There are so so so many other places that deliver pizza. Two times in a row I walked in to order and they say "we are not taking any order " how wonderful put a sing at the door at least people

I had a large party and order wasn't ready on time. They didn't seem to care. I was trying to be understanding about it but then a few months later I called in an order and they stated it would take 25 minutes, 45 minutes later, it still wasn't ready. They just said they had a large order. They didn't even seem to care or feel bad at all. Also, we only saw one other family in the whole place. I'll be taking my business to Round table. The order was NOT given to us by the quoted time. We had called it it to be ready by the time we arrived, we left the house at the appropriate time, and it was still NOT ready. I'm a nursing mom and can't be away from home for too long, as I have a baby at home, we still had to wait. I'm not sure what video footage you watched but they quoted us 20 to 25 minutes when we were home. They didn't say the were gonna start the time when we arrived. read more

Our family loves Mountain Mike's pizza, however the delivery is extremely inconsistent and not dependable, which ruins the entire experience of ordering take out. We have ordered numerous times from this location and the only reason we order again is that we like the pizza and keep hoping staffing problems and executing a simple order has changed, after complaining. We have waited for as long as 2 hours for the arrival of our order in the past, which is unacceptable. While I understand issues with COVID-19, it is hard to understand the lack of customer service. Now , unfortunately I have never eaten at Mountain Mike's. I was referred to them by a friend so I called to make a delivery order. They left me on hold for literally 10 minutes. Thinking they were busy, I hung up, and called back. Same person answers and wants to put me on hold again. I explain that I was already on hold for 10 minutes and he tells me it will be a couple more minutes, then hangs up on me. Customer service issue????? I wonder!!!!! With these hard times and all these restaurants claiming they are losing money, apparently Mountain Mike's Pizza in Gilroy, CA.is making lots of money, as they don't need any new customers and can hang up on them because they are doing so well. This is my favorite pizza and I am so glad that they deliver where I live. Also customer service is a lot better than before. Can't go wrong with the Mountain size pizza when having a gathering at home! I hope this change sticks!! The reason for 3 stars is because my pizza does get delivered a bit cold which I can't complain too much since I do I live a bit further away. I know this place gets a lot of hate, but it's never given me a reason! Our take out orders are always made right and ready when they say, plus friendly order takers - which I appreciate. I enjoy eating in here too; the place is big, the salad bar is surprisingly fresh with lots of choices and there are nice big booths. Ordered online for delivery. Online ordering process was easy and let me avoid calling in and dealing with a long wait on the phone. My reason for only 2 stars is when the delivery driver showed up for delivery he calls me and wanted me to come out IN THE RAIN to get my order from him in the parking lot at my of place of employment. I told him what door to come in and he made a few excuses as if he didn't want to get out of his car. I was paying for him to get out and deliver to my door. He finally brings my order in and the drinks I ordered were totally wrong and he really had no remorse over it. Is it really that difficult to read an order tag and bring the correct bottles of soda. Went for lunch buffet and it was awful. Pizza was all old and crusty. They didn't bring out new pizza not ONCE. The salad bar didn't have any options except things like pasta salad and potato salad with some sort of jello looking stuff. No veggies like green peppers or olives or eggs. 2 stars for the mountain pizza. Mountain Mikes has never been a cornerstone for good sauce, good service, fresh ingredients, or a clean establishment, but this much I know: If you have a 4 dollar off coupon for a Mountain Pizza (30") and you get a combination of that size, it will cost a little less than 30 bucks. For whatever reason when you get a Mountain Combination, the pizza tastes pretty damn good and you truly get an obscene amount of food. If you got a group of 3-4 drunk folks with a big appetite this mountain size is ginormous and the combo must weigh 6 or 7 pounds so you split up the tab and everyone can get full. Surely not a quality joint but under the right circumstances (hammered and hungry) you might want to get a pie delivered. read more

This Mountain Mikes is not the same quality and service as those in San Jose. Called to confirm if order was received and the girl who answered the phone was super rude and not friendly. When I said thank you she didn't have the courtesy to say you're welcome and just hung up!! Way to make a first impression on a first time customer.... When we got there to pickup the pizza they didn't have the order, but we called and confirmed they received our order? Pizza was just ok. Note - this review is solely based on being a delivery customer for years. When they were still open, eating in restaurant or picking up results in a better experience. 4:25 Ordered a Pizza and 2 diet Pepsi 5:15 Pizza Arrives in really good time for Mountain Mikes (usually closer to 90 minutes). Unfortunately they sent the wrong soda. 5:17 Called the store. Someone identifying himself as the manager said they'd send out new soda. When I asked if it would be 90 minutes he said no. Got off the phone, tried the pizza. It's been sitting so long the grease has soaked into the crust and it's soggy. So the synchronization between cooking the pizza and having it leave the store sucks. Didn't complain about it because I'll air fry it once the soda shows up. 6:35 Called the store. Doesn't expect soda will reach me for at least another 25 minutes. Mentioned they were super busy. Totally unapologetic about not having gotten the correct items to me. Could have keep me happy if he'd called at six and offered a refund given he wasn't going to be able to service the request. Manager could have offered a refund at 5:17 (or when he realized this order was entering joke territory) of the soda, tax on soda and part of the delivery fee and I would have been unhappy but accepted it. Edit: Soda was dropped off at 6:55 Really think I'll go back to ordering Straw Hat as Raj is way better at taking care of his customers. Guess this is what I get for being lazy and not wanting to pickup the pizza or support doordash. This is also not the only time this sort of thing has happened. I routinely get overly cold pizza delivered and they aren't good about details like correct soda, cheese or peppers. We ordered pizza on Wednesday for delivery. There was an accident with the delivery driver and we didn't get our pizza. Mountain mikes called and explained the problem. We were ok with it, accidents happen. The next day we received a call from Karen, the manager. And she explained in detail what happened and apologized many times. This location continues to not be able to successfully deliver pizza. We called at 5:12pm they said it would be 1-1.5 hours it is now 2 hours and no pizza. When we called to find out where it was they said we told you we were really busy. How is it that DoorDash can say it will be here in 40-49 minutes but you all cannot get your own pizzas delivered in that time? Maybe you should just leave it up to DoorDash because this is not the first time we have had issues with our pizza delivery. You should not be charging people to wait for their food for 2.5 hours. I for sure will never get delivery again when I can now use door dash for everything and that will eat into your profits Mountain Mike's, but you do not seem to care about the customer. read more
