We've been back twice in the past month. The pizza has been excellent both times. The toppings on our Everest pizza were super good and fresh. Everything both times was great and we are so excited that quality issues have been addressed. The garlic cheesy bread is so good. This is easily the best pizza in the south part of town. I have not yet tried the specialty pizzas in downtown so I cannot compare to those. Very pleased to have Mountain Mikes and the nice people who run it...in Grass Valley. read more

I've ordered pizza a number of times for Mountain Mike's Grass Valley, had to stop rude ownership? Possibly management? The real deal breaker what that hair was found on the pizza twice. So disgusting to find long dark gray hair on your pizza. Level of cleanliness is extremely poor, saw someone working in the back(hopefully not a cook) that was vigorously picking their nose. I've been to a couple of Mountain Mike's Pizza's and this one is by far the biggest location. Great environment, good customer service, clean, 40 inch TV's all around the restaurant, and a 60 TV playing sports all day. Now lets talk about the food...best pepperoni pizza I have ever had hands down! The pepperoni they use is not your typical pepperoni and the crust is soft and fluffy. I have also tried their garlic bread sticks and they are super flavorful. I would also recommend any pizza with the white sauce..YUM!!!!! Every time I go to Grass Valley, a stop at Mountain Mikes is a must! Highly recommend this place. read more

Thin crust delicious pizza that's really fast and inexpensive?? Count me in! I came with the family after a baseball game so it was a big group and we were hungry! We ordered pepperoni, veggie, Hawaiian and a chicken bbq pizza and they were all delicious! I love the thin crust because it's not as filling. The slices are huge so it's a good thing it's thin crust. The veggie pizza had big chunks of bell peppers and tomatoes which I prefer. Lastly the bbq chicken did not disappoint. It had lots of cheese and they had big chicken pieces. It was tender and juicy which I did not expect. I will come back when I'm in the area and starving for a good quick bite. read more

Pizza is good... Meh price (I'd rather go to Round Table on the other side of town for their prices)... but... The place always has this odd musty smell to it. You'd think there would be an over powering smell of pizza in the air... Nope, not the case... just musty all the time. The bathrooms are never cleaned. Very accomidating, a lot of my coworkers and I came here to discuss business on 2 different occasions after work. The staff here was very polite and didnt rush is out even though we were there for a couple of hours right up to their closing time. We noticed there wasn't many people left so we finished up our meetings but noticed looking at the clock that it was closing time. The staff ddnt rush us either time and I can really appreciate that, especially it's the end of their work day. Customer service was number 1 for them and that means a lot. Not a customer friendly place. Don't come here thinking that it's a fun atmosphere, because it's not. There's no one here but the 2 of us, no one is checking up on us. Pizza isn't being being replaced as we eat it. Not handicap friendly or helpful. We borrowed a chair from 31 ice cream next door, because there are no seats with arms on them (I need the arms to help me get up), and the owner/manager had a fit because, as he said, what if they came by later and wanted to borrow one of his benches, he wouldn't want to let them borrow it. I've had pizza from Mountain Mikes many times and been there numerous times to pick up myself. The staff I've encountered have always been very friendly, courteous and professional. This week on my birthday my aunt knowing I'm a pizza and cheeseburger girl went to get my favorite pepperoni pizza for dinner. Mountain Mikes just never disappoints. I had a great pepperoni pizza with fabulous cheese, sauce, and a delicious crust. My aunt also bought an order of jalapeno poppers. I've never had these from Mountain Mikes before, but I sure will again. Yum yum so good. This is the best pizza I've had in Grass Valley since KJ's Pizza closed. I highly recommend Mountain Mike's Pizza, they are friendly and have a family-owned atmosphere and the food is great. read more

The owner won't let me come back to the buffet because I didn't finish my drink. And gave me a lecture on how I can't pick toppings off my pizza. I'm not joking this dick head seriously told me I can't use the buffet cause I left a full drink behind even though I payed for the drink. Think about that for a second. Go to round table they have a much better buffet for cheaper between 11am and 2pm. Dont waist your time here and the food is terrible at mountain Mike's. Go too round table is much better. read more

It's a little pricy but they smother the pizza in toppings. We like to play the old school games in the arcade like pin ball and one of those big game hunting games while we wait for our pizza to come out. The cashier , maybe owner , is not polite either friendly. Came with my family visiting from Brazil and had a terrible time. Yes, pizza is good but not worth the bad vibes... the cashier guy openly admitted that he did not want to give the wifi code cause "people will stay all day"... then he proceeded to tell me that I thought I owned the place .... this ruined my awesome day I was having with my family...not to mention that the smell in the bathroom made me want to VOMIT. read more

I would not recommend this place. The pizzas are really greasy and the carpet is very dirty and it looks like it has not been cleaned in years. Plus the manager lets people get place-redly drunk and lets them behave like really rude animals. I will never go back to this horrible place and the manager was not wearing her face mask properly. Either it was down over her mouth only and not covering her nose or she would take it off and let it hang over one ear. This has been all through the pandemic if you don't want to be sick with the COVID or the Delta Virus I would not recommending to go there. Yucky greasy food not my bag of favorite pizzas in town. When there is an argument happening there and you are asking for the drunk man and his very rude and horrible daughter to leave and they don't. The manager did not come over to the table to kick the guy out with his daughter and no one had called the police department. He was 100% at fault for all of this over wearing a face mask. My wife is hard to please when it comes to pizza and she ate 5 slices, so how I can I complain? The Everest was fantastic! The people that work there are great. They told me it would be about 25min because there was a large party there. I showed up at 25 minutes and it was ready. They were rockin' & the place was packed. My friends and i have frequented this location for (30??) years... I walked in at 1:15... Lunch ends at 2... Theres no vegetarian pizzas on the buffet. (I dont eat meat.) I asked the nice young man when the next one was coming out. He said 10 minutes. 20 MINUTES later, a half cheese, half pepperoni came out. There was about 6 others there, so i took 3 small slivers of cheese. Upon finishing, i asked when the next veggie pizza was up. He stated they werent making any more. Its 1:45. Lunch ends at 2. All you can eat. I told him im veggie, and i have not had nearly as much as i can eat. He was very polite, but stated thats what he was instructed to do. So i wrote a letter to the manager and Mtn Mikes corporate HQ.... The manager/ (owner?) called me back and was VERY RUDE. He asked me why i would write to corporate. He got in my face and yelled at me IN THE RESTAURANT when i came in for a refund. When i said i didnt get a soda, he took $1 back out of my hand. and yelled at me until i was out the door... Corporate was great! Yaaaay! Manners! They said they would send me vouchers for meals :D (They never came :( ....) THIS IS NOT SMALL TOWN PROTOCOL. I HAVE LIVED HERE 32 YEARS. YOU HAVE LOST PROBABLY LOST CLOSE TO 100 CUSTOMERS SINCE THIS HAPPENED A FEW MONTHS AGO. GO BACK TO THE VALLEY! A 12" cheese pizza costs a corporation like Mtn Mikes approx $1.50 to make. My suggestion is to avoid this place. Although the chicken sandwich was good and attractively boxed, with a nice smile from the lady worker, the man worker at the desk should not be in customer service. When I walked in, nobody but the servers was there besides myself. No TV was on, or other noise. I liked the quiet, so decided to stay. After my sandwich arrived, the man turned on 2 TVs with loud volume. I asked him to please mute it, as I was the only customer and had important email to attend to. He wasn't watching it either (even if he were, customer wishes should come first). He grumbled, and turned down the volume a bit. I asked him again, politely, to please mute it entirely. He refused, saying others walking in might want it. I pointed out again that I was the only customer, and that he could turn it on again if anyone else walked in. He still refused! He said people are always asking him to turn down the volume: so this seems to be a common problem, and I'm guessing he refuses them too. That may be one reason there were no other customers. I was so angry at his unreasonableness and toxic attitude that I left, even though I had planned to stay there to eat. The man displays such disdain of his customers' reasonable wishes that it's no wonder his restaurant is empty. read more

Decided to go here for son's 11th birthday because it was right next door to Baskin Robbins. I joined the Mountain Mike's club and got a "buy one of our ridiculously overpriced 'specialty' pizzas and get a medium pizza free." The manager (owner?) said, no, we don't honor those. So we just ordered the "large" pizza, which was about as big as a dinner plate. Pizza was good - but Round Table is better in my opinion. Three salads and a "large" pizza, with no drinks, set us back $40. Won't be back. read more

What happened to the quality of their pizza? Been going there for 20 years and tonight the pizza was barely edible. We only ate it because it was our dinner. The crust tasted old, like it was frozen. Very doughy and thick! The toppings did not taste fresh. I called them to give them a heads up, and the "so called manager" said he'd give me a 10% discount next time ... sorry there won't be a next time. We have been going to this pizza restaurant for years. I think it has the best tasting pizza in town. Most of the staff is very friendly. We have done a couple of fundraisers there and those have gone well and the owners were very generous. The bathrooms do smell musty and could really use some upgrades. We will continue to go there for pizza. read more
