This place seriously needs some lessons in customer service. They totally messed up our pizza order and we ordered a $29 family salad and the lettuce was old and gross. So I had to throw it out. They gave me a med pizza for the messed up large pizza for a future date. When I called to get that replacement pizza it literally took 20 minutes to order and was on hold half the time. Ordering the pizza was fine and it tasted delicious, but my experience picking it up was anything but positive. Walking in, there was a customer eating pizza and someone sleeping in one of the booths. I stood at the counter waiting to get my food and pay for it for the better part of three minutes. I was about to leave when the customer got up and nudged the sleeping person, who saw me standing there, got wide-eyed, and ran behind the counter before I realized this was one of the employees. I usually go to Melo's but I bought a fundraiser card to support my nephews football team. I placed an order for 1 large Diamond Head and a free lg. sausage pizza at 5"30 on a Sunday. I was told it would be ready in 20 to 25 minutes. Living in Pleasant Hill I left at 545 and arrived at 6:00. I wasn't greeted by either of the 2 girls at the counter or the 2 guys in the back. Finally one girl ask if I wanted to place and order. When I said I was here for pick up she asked my name and rolled her eyes as she went to look for my order. After about 5 minutes she came back and told me it would be another 5 minutes. I stood there waiting to pay her, when she finally said "Do you wanna pay me now or what". I responded that's why I'm handing you my card. She asked debit or credit, and I asked for debit, then she handed my slip to the guy standing next to her to give to me. I was asked to sign the receipt......she charged my card. Every time I looked at the counter to see if my pizzas were ready she would give me a dirty look. Finally at 6:30 I received my pizza. It was the worst Pizza I've ever eaten! There was no sauce or cheese on either one. The pineapple fell off because there was nothing to hold it on with. The ham was dry and crispy and on the sausage pizza, there was only one piece of sausage on each slice. There were only 2 other people in the restaurant the entire time and I saw only 3 pizzas on the rack waiting for pick up, so it was not busy. My question is doesn't the manager ever read any of these reviews? If so name tags on your employees would be helpful. Stay away from the short brunette with glasses!! I was terribly disappointed with the pizza. We ordered two pizzas, neither was baked sufficiently. The crust was gooey, the top. done. We called back and were told they'd make another. That one was done sufficiently but required another trip to pick it up. I will not go there again as Papa Murphy is across the street and I can cook it until done. I go there more often. There veggie pizza and garlic sticks are warm and fresh. There salad bar is always neat and clean. The reason I'm giving Mountain Mike's of Martinez 2 stars is b/c the pizza is pretty good. The service is HORRIBLE!! My suggestion to anyone ordering is if you order, the chance of getting the pizza you ordered is at best 50/50. 3 times in a row I have received the wrong pizza. The first time I picked it up, drove home and when I opened the boxes, wrong pizza's. I drove back to the store, handed them back to the cashier who handed them to another customer. I waited another 20 min for my pizza and after thinking they would give me a discount all I got was "here are your pizza's". I said no discount for spending my gas money driving back and waiting? NADA. The 2nd and 3rd times I was smart and checked the pizza b4 I left the store and wouldn't you know it, wrong pizza on one order and wrong crust on the other trip. Yes, I could have waited and ordered again but honestly who wants to wait another 30 min for another pizza and on the 3rd time I heard the person taking an order on the phone said it would be 45 min to an hour. No matter what the business, customer service is king. As a self-employed businessman for 25 years, if I don't treat my client's well, there will be no client's. If I make a mistake, and everyone does as we are all human, I try and correct it with some type of tchotchke or service equivalent but whatever I do I want to make the client satisfied. My wife ordered their chicken club pizza on 5/4/15 and made the mistake of not checking what is in the box. Besides the cheese sauce, other bits were barely visible. It should have been named "club pizza" as there was no chicken involved in making this. My advice is to stay away from this place and buy yourself a frozen pizza instead. read more

My boyfriend and I used to always order pizza from Round Table until we discovered Mountain Mike's. We usually ALWAYS have fantastic service with Mountain Mike's until tonight. As you know, picking up a pizza typically takes shorter than getting it delivered, so tonight we made a take-out order. I was quoted 25 minutes on the phone until the pizza was ready. I left my location 30 minutes after getting off the phone to go pick up my pizza-- it's a Thursday night so I wanted to be safe just in case it was busy. I arrived at Mountain Mike's about 45 minutes after calling in my pizza and we were QUOTED ANOTHER 10 MINUTES AFTER ARRIVAL... THERE WAS NO ONE INSIDE OF THE RESTAURANT! A full hour went buy before we received our pizza from the employee. She asked me if I wanted any cheese/peppers/ranch and I said yes please, and made a comment about how we had waited an hour to get our pizza (we could have gotten it faster if we had it delivered), and she completely brushed me off and walked away without making any eye contact with me or apologizing for the wait. I didn't even get a simple thank you for coming in. I want the managers/employees to realize that their customer service is seriously slacking and that they should be on top of there orders more, especially from customers who order regularly. Very disappointed. I hope this young lady with the poor customer service learns her lesson.. not to mention, talk to her friend(s) that are picking her up in the restaurant when she is not off of work yet. read more

There seams to be a trend here with BAD customer service! We have a hang out house for my sons friends and team mates so we use to order a lot of pizza from here. Key word is use to, had never thought to look up Yelp before but on night can change that! I like thick crust on my pizza so the 3 other family style pizza I don't care, the manager went down the road to tell me I was nuts and that they don't make thick crust. I said what about the 50 other pizzas we have gotten before. Never tried to say hey will make it up to you next time just was your nuts take it or leave it. The kid who took my order tried but one look from the manager was all it took to shut him down. We will now drive the extra 10 minutes to get our pizza. we've only had delivery, and yes it takes a while, but as long as you plan ahead this place is worth it. and they deserve AT LEAST four stars for having so many great vegetarian toppings! i got artichoke hearts and tomatoes and both were fresh and meaty and chunky. i love how there is hardly any crust and the toppings go all the way to the edge. and when we ordered a large they cut it into a thousand tiny slices, which is really awesome because you can eat three pieces and trick yourself into being done when really you've only eaten one regular-sized slice. read more

We ordered for delivery on Sunday afternoon. My daughter answered the door and took the pizza. The driver did not bring the soda we had ordered. I called right away and was told they would call me back when the driver returned to the store. They did not call. I called again the next day and was told a manager would call me back. Again, no call back. I called for a third time the following day and was told refunds take a few days. I explained to the employee that I had twice been promised calls back and it had already been a couple of days, but I would wait. He said someone would call. No one called. I really like Mountain Mikes but I have my order delivered and I get a pizza and an order of HOT wings well they send me plain wings and their good but not what I wanted, The second time they did this I called and spoke with the manager who instead of fixing it argued with me, I live 1 mile away, he could have given me a credit next time or sent over the right order but nothing. I contacted corporate who notified the store and said they would contact me within 24 hours, it's now 5 days later and nothing from them, I think they are working their way out of business. On my way home from work (4:55pm) I placed an order for a pizza. I was told delivery would be 45 minutes to 1 hour. I got home within 10 minutes of placing the call, and began to relax from my day knowing dinner would be taken care of by delivery. It's currently 6:31...NO PIZZA.
