Had a pleasant experience with the gentleman who answered the phone at 845pm last night (New Years Eve), they were supposed to close early (9pm) and I asked if it was too late for a last minute delivery. He hesitated at first and asked if we could pick it up. I let him know that we were having a party and everyone had been drinking. He then exclaimed that he would send his driver to delivery while he was on the way home for the night. That is quality customer service. It is safe to say that the driver received a 50% tip. I cannot be more pleased with this service. We will not ask for something of that nature again, but am so thankful that they came through at this time! Thank you again night staff on New Year's Eve!! They FORGOT to give my husband the salad that he ordered and they did not mention that they peperoni was extra spicy. My poor daughters, their mouths were burning. Horrible. The guys working there are so high!!! They can barely speak. I ordered 2 pizzas for a party. They called me back to confirm but I could barely understand the guy cuz he was slurring his words. I waited for 2 hours for my pizzas but they never delivered. I called and was told they were on their way. Then called again and they told me they forgot to make them. We order a delivery pizza once per week from this pizzeria. However, this will stop after a messed up delivery and the lack of customer service on the phone. The individual "John" insisted I ordered a cheese pizza instead of the pepperoni that we order weekly. He informed me at least three times that the best he could to is offer me 50% discount on my next order. His manager was unavailable as he is the one making the deliveries and has no way of being reached while he is making deliveries. Really?, your manager is unavailable? (no cell phone in 2012!) I only inquired because I thought maybe the wrong pizza was being deliverved to someone else as well. Good customer service would have been to apologize and not insist that I made the order error. first time I ordered they took 1.5 hours to deliver and couldnt find my address. the driver actually called me to ask if I was sure that I had my address correct. Gave a second try today... 1.5 hours, still no pizza. Called and inquired and they told me it was "on the way." but still no pizza. Doesn't matter how a pizza tastes if you cant eat it. read more

This Mountain Mikes location is great! I have always received great customer service here, especially from Cristian, who greats everyone as they walk in. He seems to always be on top of things, taking orders, making pizza, and keeping the pizza/salad bar stocked and neat. I used to go to the Mountain Mike's on Clayton many years ago. I remember it being pretty good. I moved to Martinez and live close to a Mountain Mike's, so we tried them out when we first moved in. This pizza was really bad. I think you could do better from Domino's or Little Caesar's, or at least you wouldn't do any worse. Menu is full of generic pastas and a medley of mediocre pizza options. This is the worst place ever. I ordered thru eat24 hour and a half later no pizza. Eat24 called them and they said they lost my order but would call me apologize and offer a discount. No such thing happened. My pizza finally came after 2.5 hours and no discount. Normally mountain mike's would get a 2 or 3 from me but these guys are great, they are always friendly, they've frequently had my order up in under 10 minutes and out of the few stores they have, this place definitely tasted better. However I go out of my way to come to this one cause Harry who runs the place really has made it a place where customer service is really important. Today was my last attempt at this establishment. 8 years we have lived within 2 miles and 8 years, we have not received a warm pizza. Let me recap the final call. Me: Hello, I'd like to place an order for delivery. them: im sorry, what? me: deliver, id like to place an order for delivery. them: what would you like. me: a large cheese pizza. them: what would you like on that. me: cheese. a large cheese pizza. them: what size. me: large. a large cheese pizza them: was this for pickup or delivery me. this is for delivery, please. One large cheese pizza for delivery. Some more back and forth as we work out the complicated logistics of providing a credit card number over the phone. Fast forward 1 hour. Me: Hey, just calling to check on our delivery.. (provide phone number) Them: Oh, that order was for pickup. Me: sigh.... No, it was not. could you please provide a FRESH pizza for delivery. Them: yes sir, be right there. 20 mins later: Driver shows up with a cold congealed pile of dung in a box. Clearly the same pizza they had let sit on the counter for pickup, after clearly designating delivery. Wound up sending it back, and taking the kids somewhere worthy of our dollars. Sadly, this is a completely normal and expected transaction with this vendor. It's a shame the owner doesn't care enough to correct this behavior. I guess the fact that there is no real competition for delivery (Round Table sucks gopher balls as well), means they don't have to care about the quality of product or service. This was my last attempt at dealing with Mountain Mike's in Martinez. And has probably ruined me on the Mountain Mike's brand in general, so uh... thanks for that. read more

We ordered a pizza to be delivered and we told it would take 35 to 40 minutes. One hour and twenty minutes later the pizza had not arrived. We called to check in on the status of the pizza. We were told it would be about 10 minutes more. 25 minutes later we called again. After being on hold for a few minutes, we were assured that it would only be a few minutes more. The pizza arrived 3 minutes later. We were not given any discount for the inconvenience and the pizza was COLD. We could have gone to Papa Murphys, cooked the pizza, eaten it and cleaned up in the time it took to get cold pizza. We won't order from Mountain Mikes again. read more

Ok, so i stopped ordering from Mountain Tards after they put me on hold for approx 20 minutes one time, but after a 6 month hiatus, i decided to try Potato Brain's again. I ordered a medium pepperoni, and decided, "hey, lets get a little wild and throw some onions on there." You know what I got? I got a fuckin xx large, mushroom, ham, olive and bacon pizza with some sort of unholy white sauce instead of regular pizza sauce, and a side of buffalo wings. The Church of Chutulu that ordered this abomination is gonna be pissed when the get my medium, white person pizza. I thought I would stop by for a quick lunch before I went tanning next door. I haven't been here in while and I now know I will not be back. When I walked in, I was not greeted by the guy at the front what so ever. I had to tell him I wanted to purchase a lunch buffet and drink. I quickly noticed when approaching the salad bar that the lettuce was brown, old and clearly unhealthy. I asked the guy at the front if they had new lettuce as this stuff looked pretty bad. He did not say a word to me and just grabbed the container and walked away. I sat back down in the booth and waited. A couple minutes later he slams down a new container in the salad bar area. It was like I inconvenienced him or annoyed him with the request. They had an old, crusted over pepperoni pizza and Hawaiian pizza as their selection. I grab two small slices and had a very disappointing meal. I watched at least 6 customers come and go and the same guy at the front did not say " hello, hi or how can I help you?" to any of them. Every customer, including myself was an inconvenience. I could not believe the horrible of customer service this guy was handing out to everyone that walked in the door. This place used to have friendly faces and great customer service. It has clearly taken a HUGE turn for the worse and you are better going to Round Table for lunch buffet. Skip this place! read more

I'm not going to lie, they make a pretty good pizza. The service isn't bad, either. Their one and major problem is that the place looks so effin dirty and run down that you don't want to eat there. The booths are falling apart and have wobbly tables, the salad bar looks infested and the bathroom (yes, one for everyone!) is always gross. It really is like it is run by high school stoner kids.
