Stopped in for my father in law & my boyfriend and had their classic Philly for the first time.. genuinely the best Philly I've had on the west coast. It gave me flashbacks of having one in Philadelphia back in 2018. My lord, I'd give a lower rib to have just one location in Las Vegas, 10/10. We only had the sandwich and for it to be that good without a side of fries or even mayo & lettuce, that's a damn good spot. The ambiance and service were delightful, the nice lady who took our order even knew we planned to split a sandwich so it's was just nice to experience service that goes beyond just taking your order & sending you on your way. Ok this place is bomb! lol I had legit Cheesesteak in Philadelphia when I visited last year and tried out Pat's and Geno's and ended up loving it. I have been to this location many times. Their steak sandwiches are usually very good. My husband is from Philadelphia, so it is tough to beat this sandwich here in California. In the past this shop did well. The sandwich I received last week was awful. The meat was really thick and gristly. The taste was there but I had to chew and chew. This was not enjoyable, and I knew it would have been very tough to digest. I had to toss it. I remember waiting and watching them prepare the meat in previous visits (here, and also other locations) and the cook would spend a lot of time chopping/cutting the meat on the grill. This tenderizes the meat and makes it tasty and edible. Very little onion. The staff was friendly and helpful. $28.00 for 1 sandwich, fries and a coke. And by the way I ordered steak fries and received tater tots! This meal was purchased to save me from cooking on this night. To say the least, super disappointed. I'm sorry for the negative review, however I think it's important for the manager/owner to know what needs to be fixed. I was so close to purchasing a couple of gift cards for Christmas gifts. I recently stopped by this location today while in the area. It's located in the Crossroads Shopping Center near Wing Stop. There were plenty of tables to dine in and I found that the restaurant was kept very clean and organized. I was immediately greeted upon entering and all the staff I interacted with - taking my order and giving me my order - were very friendly. I ordered 2 classic steak cheesesteak sandwich with hot and sweet peppers, a large side of steak fries, and a large side of onion rings. I ordered my meal to go for my husband and I and the food was still as delicious 40 mins later when I got home. I don't know about y'all, but I found their portion to be big. We ended up sharing one sandwich and saving the other one for tomorrow. My husband looked at me and asked me why I ordered large sides and my only answer was "those containers look deceiving!". I asked for the difference in size and opted for the large because the regular didn't look like it would be enough, but I was surprisingly wrong and we didn't even finish it. I love this place, but I'm very tired of spending extra money on a King of Philly and receiving just a large size. I'm spending $16.70 on a King of Philly sized sandwich and it's the exact size of the Large. No extra meat or anything. I had to take to Yelp because the online ordering system does not offer any type of "Help". This needs to be resolved. Why offer a much more expensive option while promoting "50% more meat & cheese" when you don't add the extra meat or cheese? This was by far the smallest King of Philly I have ever received. I could tell just by holding it in the bag. Very disappointed. Get your KING measurements correct! Side note, King of Philly's should be very close if not above 400grams in weight. We ordered food tonight - one of which being a King cheesesteak. That's a large with extra meat and cheese, by the way. We got the sandwich, no King wrapper (or King sticker), smaller bread, and less filling. When questioned, we were told there were no wrappers(stickers?), the bread was changed, and "that was double meat and cheese". We've been to this location over 20 times and some other locations even more so we know what the portions are supposed to be. It's crazy how all these supplies were missing or wrong all on the same order at the same time, huh? So either the order was made incorrectly and covered up for some reason or the store is giving less while continuously raising prices. Neither of these are appropriate outcomes. Food was ok. Service was ok There is no table service. Dropped one star because when I went to pay, the machine forced me to leave a minimum tip. There was NO option for OTHER or zero. Worst thing is, I couldn't proceed to pay without leaving the minimum (10 or 15%). This is a takeout counter. By choice, I usually leave something in the tip jar for takeout.
