    Pizza from Mountain Mikes Pizza

I am sorry but the quality of food has gone way down and the prices they charge are ridiculous. The last two times I ordered a simple pepperoni pizza it is so over cooked it takes like the card board box it comes in

Revisited and the place was busy. The games working as well as the ice cream station. Staff were kind and pizza was bussin.

We stayed at a hotel in Monterey, and Mountain Mike's was across the street. Had to give it a try. Five stars for the fun, laid-back atmosphere. Five stars for a simple yet thorough all you can eat salad bar (reminiscent of Sizzler's). Five stars for the really nice guy behind the counter, who took our order and brought the pizza to our table. I have to knock off a star for the pizza. The crust was very thick, the sauce was very sweet, and I found the pizza to be more like pizza cake, similar to Numero Uno. It just wasn't up my alley. However, that's just me. I strongly encourage you to give it a whirl. Mountain Mike's is a fun place!

This is my second favorite place for pizza. The ingredients are always fresh and the place is great for kids.

Tracy was super friendly, and she did something we were never offered at any other mountain mikes, which was to split 2 different pizza types onto one pizza. It was not only done but done perfectly, as you can see in the photo. The pizza was fantastic, had a great amount of toppings all over, not one bit dry, as some other reviewers had mentioned. The cheesy garlic bread was great as well. My wife enjoyed the all you can eat salad bar, and had seconds. It's a fairly large establishment as well, great for big parties, and they also have a really nice outside patio area with a fire pit. It's located directly across the street from Hotel Abrego, where we are staying. We'll be returning tomorrow for the lunch buffet!

Large pizza with lots of flies flying around us!

Love this spot when we go to Monterey!…read more Simple little place, bright and fun. Always have some good music and/or music videos playing. The KFC is on point! Perfectly cooked, and perfectly seasoned chicken - or sauced, depending on what you're going for. The breading is so crispy you get that good crunch when you bite into a wing or drumstick! Service is always friendly and prompt! Top all this off with a good beer and you are good to go for a casual dining experience.

This place was definitely a hidden gem!!…read more The service was excellent and super friendly. We only had 4 people--so when our server brought out the food and noticed we ordered a lot for 2 adults and 2 kids, she was kind enough to add another table so we'd be comfortable. The Food Lineup: * Chicken Fried rice for my daughter and it was so adorable because they made it into a shape of a heart. Love the attention to detail! * Sodduk Sodduk - 10/10! I'm a sucker for tteok so to have it in skewer form with mini sausages was a treat. The outside was kinda crunchy and the inside was nice and chewy. Loved it! * Dduk Bok Gi - not spicy so I absolutely loved it. The sauce I was slathering on top of my rice and dipping some of my K-Honey chicken in it. Yum! * K-Honey Chicken was so good! The chicken had a super crunchy outside and the inside was so juicy. I kept scraping up the sauce from the tray to get every bit. Definitely a 10/10! I loved this place and would definitely come back. Also thought the bathroom art work was hilarious. IYKYK.

The streets of Alvarado and surrounding were packed with cars and people. We circled the blocks surrounding a couple of times before double parking a block away from the brewery. My little person was with me on this mission. Upon entering the brewery, the hostess had a line of five groups in front of us being put on a waiting list to be seated. Inside, every seat and stool was occupied. The tables and seating were compact with enough aisle space to allow servers through to deliver orders. When it was our turn, I provided my name for pickup. We were instructed to get our order from the beer garden. Location of the beer garden, in the rear of the overpacked aisles we had to beeline through. The interior of this location spans vastly which is great for customer seating and lessening wait times, yet sucks for those needing to retrieve their pickup. When we finally made it to the rear, our order was ready to go. I signed the receipt and was off. The food itself was prepared exceptionally well, extremely flavorful with high quality ingredients and nothing but compliments from each of us - three in total. Our daughter killed every slice of her pizza minus one, husband devoured his and I had a few slices remaining that I ate for breakfast cold. The cheesy crust was a beautiful crunchy addition texturally and flavor wise; however, cold it was hard to bite through as easy. Would we return, definitely. We will do a one person hop out and grab the food while the other circles. Lucky there were no cops out towing - I was in the red for a minute waiting to pickup.

Glad we did. The food was excellent, the service was friendly and fast, and the atmosphere was perfect for watching baseball or just relaxing over a meal and a beer. It has the casual feel of a sports bar, but definitely a step up from the average one. Great food, good energy, plenty of TVs, and a comfortable atmosphere. We'd definitely go back.

So much for a hopeful chill night while on a girls trip with out of state family. Earlier in the…read moreday while we walked past this establishment we heard laughter and what seemed like chill vibes, so we made a mental note to come back later in the evening for a few drinks. Walked in, and it was busy. Not packed but busy due to shortage of staff. The waiter got to us and said there's seating outside and if we'd rather seat inside she was the only waiter so it'll be a few more minutes before she can clean the tables. We waited patiently and got a seat. Ordered drinks and waited. Waited and waited. While waiting I could see the 1 bartender just chatting away with the people sitting at the bar. Making drinks here and there but majority of the time just talking. 20-25 min passed by and our Waiter stopped by and realized we still haven't received our 2 drinks. She immediately got our attention and went to the Lady Bar Tender who looked annoyed that she was getting interrupted talking to the customers and was asked to do her job and check on our drinks. At this time we decided to walk up and sit at the bar as there were open seats. As we sat down the Bartender gave us a drink & food menu and said kitchen closes soon. We told her that we're just ordering drinks and that the waiter had already placed our drink order a while back. She went to her kiosk system and realized there were 2 drinks placed. She immediately looked at her phone and I'm sure referenced the time and actually proceeded to make one of our drink. She rimmed it and placed ice into the cup - while doing this she placed the drink back down as the customer next to us asked for another drink. She went back to the kiosk and grabbed her phone and looked like she purposefully just didn't care to make our drinks. She was on her phone with her back turned to us... for quite some time. There was enough time in between her back turning and the other customers drink order that we decide we're not going to be waisting any more of our time & leave. While doing this she actually proceeded to skip making our drink and got the drink/beer for the customer next to us. I walked on over to the waitress and said she can cancel our drink and we're leaving; she immediately apologized and said for us to stay and she'll ask to comp our 1st drink. I was very hesitant but she obviously was very apologetic and we went back and sat. She went to the bartender and told her make our drink and comp it. The bartender all of a sudden went back to making our drink and started talking to us saying she's the only bartender and the other 2 called out... never did she apologize. At this time I just told her she wasn't busy making drinks rather just talking and also skipping our drink to serve someone else. She asked if we still wanted our drinks and at this time, clearly why would anyone stay and support this kind of behavior. I told her, her customer service attitude sucks and we walked out. Waisted 45 min of our time... To the establishment: pls have your bartender working Night of 9/10 check herself & her attitude. She's the engine that runs your bar business and if she's clearly this rude, unprofessional and unapologetic about making drinks she shouldn't be working as a bartender. She left a very bad impression on your business while another worker tried to make things right just for her to give your customers attitude and purposely just choosing to not make our drinks.

I wanted something to drink that wasn't sweet, so I tried their raspberry ice tea. They used a sugary syrup to flavor the tea, and that was a strike out. It was sweeter than a soda, so it went back and I swapped it out for a plain unsweetened ice tea. Then we tried the cheesy garlic bread, which we were really looking forward to. Welp, it came out with mozzarella cheese and a ton of corn. No butter. No garlic. We all looked at each other when we tried it. Ok, let's try their brussel sprouts. Those are hard to mess up - but sure enough, they managed to. They deep fried them to the point they were black and charred. There wasn't anything left of the brussel sprout itself, it was mostly crunchy charcoal. At this point, we all ordered something we assumed would be safe for our main. I got the sliders and a side salad. I had the salad but only of the sliders. The cheese on it was queso, like you use to dip chips, so it was ran all over the place and the burger was a grease ball. I won't even get into what everyone else had, but they had similar experiences. Overall, it was pretty disappointing. Maybe there are other things or other times where this place is better, but it was a swing and a miss for us.
