pizza is always good. Love the t-shirt and a slice deal for $8!! they were out of sooo many sizes that I couldn't do it:( but, at least my grandude got one! 3 stars for the extra long wait! How long does it take to box a slice.. grab a cup , ring up?? ridiculously slow execution!! drove me nuts watching how slow the process was. And I really could have gone my whole life without seeing your pizza makers make the pizza:( grossed me out actually . But that's how far back line was and stood there for 10 minutes and only moved once!! Ugh.. One guy had 1 glove on 1 glove off. Made no sense. one guy had zero gloves. And one guy had gloves but what's the point if he's twirling the dough and it all over his hairy arms. I had to tell myself over and over... everything gets killed when it gets cooked in the hot oven... but I wonder how many hairs have fallen into the dough??!!! c'mon.. they have got to make elbow length gloves by now for these jobs! Some things are better left unseen if you don't follow healthy food practices. And, at no time did I see anyone wash their hands in between or change gloves:( on the upswing.. I did learn they make the circle of sauces with a baster. Here's a thought: why not do what In & Out does when it gets busy and send someone to the line with a handheld machine that swipes cards & takes orders....?!!! made me sick waiting over 25 minutes to get a slice of pizza when I know Whole Foods was in same parking lot:( but, I promised my grandude the shirt. Or how about a second register just for people who want a slice or salad. You lost at least 10 people when they came in and saw the line!! Not that that's going to break you... but.. there has got to be a better way. There's my 2cents. you get to make your own decision if you see the line backed up to the back room. ;)

Cute little spot at Monterey mall. Had healthier options. I'm on the dash diet this year. For health issues. But still gonna find you good eats. Good flavors, good service.

Pizza My Heart DELIVERS: We placed an order online while staying at the Pacific Gardens Inn. Since the order was done online I don't have input on the ambiance of the restaurnat, but as far as online service is concern the order we placed was accurate. The food was delicious, the chicken wings tasted AMAZING! Large portions, fresh ingredients, tasty food made our "pizza night" (during our vacay) a fun stay indoor night.

Man, I love Pizza My Heart, but I have to say this location is something else--and not in a good way. The issues range from the staff's service when taking orders and charging customers, all the way to the quality of the food.I ordered five slices. Four were readily available, but I had to wait on one. The cashier clearly asked if the order was 'for here' or 'to go.' I said 'for here,' so they put the four slices in the oven and told me I would have to wait about 15 minutes for the Maui slice. After sitting for a while, I walked up and stood by the counter until I was finally called. When I got there, I saw they had stacked all my other slices inside a 'to-go' box and just put the Maui slice on top. I kindly reminded them that the order was for here. The woman serving clearly did not like it when the cashier passed along the message; she gave a rude look and just walked away. The cashier then started laying out trays, but he seemingly gave up halfway through and went back to his post. The woman eventually finished the job, handed the slices to the cashier, and he handed them to me. I said 'thank you' but didn't even get acknowledged. I figured whatever, they just weren't in a good mood. However, when we sat down to eat, four of the five slices were practically cold. I'm not surprised, though, because these slices are so thin that they can't hold any heat. Compared to all the other Pizza My Heart locations, these slices are paper-thin. If you look at my Maui slice, it's almost see-through. This location seriously needs to check out the Santa Cruz and Downtown San Jose branches to see what real pizza and proper customer service look like.

Each time we head to Monterey for vacation, this is our first stop! Always get a cool shirt and a slice!! Staff is always very friendly. There is always a spot to eat, inside or out. Line moves quickly. Fancy soda machine too! Diet vanilla Dr. Pepper? Yes please! Located right off the freeway in an outdoor mall with tons of shops!

Pretty decent pizza place. The pizza is pretty good, but what I liked about it was it wasn't very greasy. We got take out so can't say much about the restaurant, but it looked like a fun place. The cheese bread was better than expected and the pepperoni pizza was exactly as expected. Obviously popular because when I went to pick up it was pretty busy. The staff seemed a little overwhelmed when I came in but it was around 6pm on a Friday though. I'd definitely come back.

How long is the wait to pick it up?

    20-30 minutes

I'm allergic to garland and onion. Is it possible to get a gluten-free pizza crust with a sauce with no garlic and no onions?

Checking out their website and the menu, I don't see a "gluten free" option, but if you customize your pizza you can do no garlic and no onions. They have vegan options as well.

Can we buy raw pizza dough from PMH?

I don't know because I always buy mine from Allegro in Carmel

Do you make the gluten free crust in house?

We do not make our rice flour crust in store.

Hi ! Love your pizza but I now have to have a gluten-free vegan diet I see your menu is vegan but do you also have gluten-free?

Yes we have a gluten free rice flour crust. It is just available in 12”

Does this place have vegan cheese?

Hi, we do not have vegan cheese but if you want to bring in your own vegan cheese we can put it on your pizza for you!

Does anyone know if they will do crustless pizza here? Don't judge ?

We will do what ever you want. Just tell us what you want and how you want us to make it. Thanks,… Read more

Actually, kinda flavorless. And there was so much topping, the first few bites were pretty soggy. Also, it being so crowded, the only place for us was the bar. We weren't drinking, and the grumpy bartender gave us attitude about that. Eventually we found a table. All in all, I'll keep looking for the best pizza in the area. The golfing goal was going to be easy since I had two tee times set up at two different amazing golf courses before I even arrived. The food one I thought might be a bit more of a challenge since I'd never been to the Monterey area,so I knew I was going to have to rely on trusty Yelp for some assistance. Well after a great day of golfing, the first thing I wanted was some high-quality pizza and Yelp pointed me straight towards Heirloom Pizza located on Cass Street. Parking at this location was pretty good as even though it was located in a busy part of town, they had their own lot they share with other businesses. Once inside I was able to see how cute this restaurant was-totally the kind of place one would take someone they cared about-date-night vibes for sure. We had called in our order before we arrived and since we were taking pizza back to the group,we ordered two large deep dish pizzas. We ordered the Pepperoni Deep Dish ($38.75)-which basically features pepperoni and a crazy amount of cheese. We also ordered The Slider($38.75) which featured meatballs, mushrooms, onions, roasted garlic and a crazy amount of cheese. Each pizza was 12-inch size, smaller than I'm used to when ordering deep dish but with the high quality ingredients and elevated cooking techniques they used,it seemed like a fair price. Both pizzas were incredible tasting and choosing between them would be like picking between a Lambo or a Ferrari. Both were an amazing eating experience and both established a new standard for deep dish pizza for me. But if I had to pick-Slider all day-I really loved that pizza, perfect crust, perfect variety of toppings, perfect seasonings, perfect sauce-yeah that was a really great pizza. I hated that I had to share it if I'm being honest. In closing, If you're ever in the Monterey area and you would like to try some high-quality deep-dish pizzas, give Heirloom Pizza a shot-I'm sure you will enjoy quite a tasty bite.

Our pizzas to go, got a large pepperoni, and a large slider (meatball, mushroom, onions and garlic) This was perhaps the best Chicago Deep Dish pizza I have ever had. The crust was flavorful, just thick enough to hold up, but thin enough not to fill you up. The sauce, was to me, a perfect tangy zesty tomato sauce , not spicy, containing chunks of fresh tomato. Under the sauce, enveloped within a succulent bed of cheese, were the items. The pepperoni was solid, fresh and a flavor delight, but the star was the Slider Pizza. Packed with succulent meatballs, with mushrooms, onions and garlic, each bite was a savory flavor bomb on my taste buds !

Gusto is one of the few truly scratch-made Italian restaurants that specializes not only in pizza, pasta, and sauces, but also features an old-school brick, wood-fired pizza oven. Hell, they even make their own mozzarella! They have not only caught the eye of locals and Yelpers, but have also managed to earn a recommendation in the current Michelin Guide. The Good: * Private parking lot, as well as street parking. * Fabulous service from Alex! * Prices are very reasonable considering the food quality. * Local beers on tap. * Strawberry Prosciutto Salad (seasonal special) was fantastic! Who knew strawberries paired so perfectly with salty, cured prosciutto and pistachios? This might not be on the menu all the time, but if you see it, get it! * Complimentary focaccia was unbelievably soft and delicious. As if it couldn't get any better, their olive tapenade served alongside it was equally delicious, making for an unbeatable duo. * The Margherita pizza is the ultimate test of a pizza restaurant--and they passed with flying colors! It's so simple that if something isn't right, it'll be easy to spot, but everything from the homemade mozz to the slightly charred crust and the delicious sauce made this the perfect pie. I give it a score of 3.14159265359...! The Meh: * Meatballs were a touch too tough and could've been a bit more tender. They were still fuçking delicious, so honestly, who cares? The Ugly: * Despite the name, Seaside isn't the most glorious place, and this location is downright sus AF. Conclusion: Maybe one of the best meals so far of 2026. It's a cozy, family-owned business. When we arrived, there was only one woman working and doing absolutely everything--taking orders, prepping, and baking. Another person eventually came in to help her, but we honestly felt for them! Despite being understaffed, they were kind and hardworking. We were so hungry that we forgot to take photos (rookie mistake, I know), but the pizza was phenomenal. We ordered: Classic Pepperoni: Perfectly greasy and crisp. BBQ Chicken: Great tangy sauce-to-topping ratio. Curry Chicken: The standout! Super flavorful and a nice twist on traditional pizza. They do not skimp on toppings which was great. It took about 30 minutes to get our food. Honestly, for a small family shop where they're making things fresh, that's not bad at all. If you're in a massive rush, be mindful, but the quality is well worth the half-hour wait. Bottom line: Support this local business! There is informal, in-door seating but it looks more like a take out place, though the prices are more high end. The reason for my three star is that the pizza ultimately was bland and most importantly the crust was undercooked. The toppings seemed fresh and it is possible their Eastern pizzas are more flavorful, so if you are looking for that you should give it a try. This is an update/reply to owner on 4/1:…read more I think your reply to me here is making matters worse. You're refusing to take accountability for the fact that you hired an individual who is extremely obnoxious, mouthy, and disrespectful to a customer who is having a problem due to a combination of factors - one being that you closed early on a weekend night, and the other being that a third-party service is failing to do a good job. A third-party service I might add who you have chosen to do business with. As a small business owner myself, as you pointed out, I can assure you, I will never hire a person and allow them to work at my front desk who has the audacity to treat customers as rudely as your employee did. The largest offense here was the behavior of your employee and that is the one thing you have failed to address. There are solutions to the problems you were having - one is as simple as writing a note on your door, letting your customers know that you've chosen to close early that day. Another is refusing to do business with a third-party who is making matters worse rather than better for your business. But the most important thing here is having the care And attention that is required to not hire people capable of being so rude to your customers. Your employee did not make that offer of a pizza until we pointed out that he could have done something better to address the situation rather than giving mouth. But the point here is, we did not want pizza at that time. We wanted the night before when we were in a jam, and by that point, our trust in the food at your store was completely shattered. Because if a person makes a decision to hire someone that is so rude to customers, they may also make the decision to hire a cook who spits in your food. And anyone who fails to understand or address the unacceptable behavior of their employees when it is necessary is indeed a one star establishment. This is an update: A person from Pizza My Way called me a day after I posted my original 1-star review. She was friendly and helpful, and ultimately refunded the $40. I appreciated that. So I brought my review up to 3 stars. However, the situation was seriously unacceptable. Businesses have a responsibility to hire people who are going to treat customers with respect and who are capable of responding to problems created by decisions of the restaurant and their policies. This was a stressful experience and my wife and I walked away feeling very disrespected and initially $40 poorer with no pizza and no solution. The young person working for them has no business treating customers who pay a whopping $40 for a pizza that way- and his behavior being tolerated makes it impossible for me to give the restaurant another chance - so I cannot give an honest review of their food only their service. Maybe if someday I get a call that they have let said employee go they can regain my trust and I'll give them a try because their right up the street, and perhaps I can become a regular customer since I'm so close and they can get a higher rating from me. Originally posted 5/15: Worst pizza experience on the Monterey Peninsula by far. The place just randomly closes on a Saturday night well before their posted closing time. I order for pick up, spend over $40 for one large pizza which is absolutely crazy. I mean other people might think that's normal but I think that's crazy. That doesn't matter. I was in a jam and I had to get my kids some food and was not able to get back home and cook because of an emergency at work. In any case, I pay for the pizza online and then I called to confirm and there's no answer. I call multiple times. I show up to the store in person at around 8:35, 25 minutes before they are supposed to take their last order, and the whole place is dark. The next day, I am assured by the person I speak to on the phone that I will be refunded. Later on that day, I double checked to make sure that's true and it looks like they withdrawn the money from my bank account. So I called back and the person I speak to on the phone refuses to give me their name, they take absolutely no accountability for the situation, and offer absolutely no solution. So I spent $40 on pizza I never received, I was completely unable to get the attention of the manager, and my wife, and I both had to endure rudeness, extreme rudeness from their staff. When I walked in to restate my reasonable request to no avail, the person on staff was recording me on his phone. I don't get it. I'm the customer and I've already spent money and I still haven't received any product from them. It's nothing personal. When you're closing well before you posted hours on a weekend night, when you've got some cockamamie ordering system that you've built into your website, when you can't be accountable to your customers that spend money or even polite, you deserve the bad reputation that follows.
