Amazing pizza! We order from here quite often. The small is a little too small but dude!! Is it ever tasty! I have always loved crispy things, such as the edges on mmmeat! To me, some things are better when they're done crispy! That's what you're getting with Mountain Mike's pepperoni pizza. You consistently get those curled up and crispy edges. It's so tasty! I haven't personally been inside Mountain Mike's stores yet because it's always on a whim and then we order through DoorDash. So I can't really comment on the ambiance. But I will say the pizzas I've ordered online have always arrived hot and quickly to my doorstep! They heat up nicely in the air fryer, too. Get a pizza from here if crispy pepperoni is your thing. Pretty good lunch specials here. Pizza buffet is pretty solid. And quality ide say is 7/10 for being all you can eat. So far ive been helped by a guy with a cowboy hat who is super friendly welcoming and energetic! And another guy with gears who's probably not having his best day there. either way pizza id say is 6.6/10 (that being AYCE pizza!) id say thats pretty good place is pretty spacious for large groups. When I walked inside today I wanted to order a new kind of pizza, I asked Sam one of Mountain Mike's employees what kind of pizza is really popular and the most ordered pizza at their restaurant? Sam told me their Chicken Ranch Club Pizza is a very delicious pizza and it's also a really popular pizza with their customers. I then said to Sam to go ahead and make this Chicken Ranch Club Pizza for me but first what kinds of ingredients beside the Grilled Chicken and the Ranch Dressing is added with this kind of I also told Sam that I don't eat that much and can he reduce this SMALL SIZE PIZZA to even SMALLER,? Sam laughed at me and then he said YES! Then Sam told me he will make this (Chicken Ranch Club Pizza) into a MINI PIZZA with (6 pieces instead of 8 pieces) that normally would be their traditional (Small Size Pizza) for one person. Sam also asked me, would I like the Thin Crust or the Regular Thicker Crust Pizza? I told Sam I really like the Thinner Crust Pizza because the Thin Crust Pizza has a really crispy texture and I love that feature. Sam agreed with me he told me he also likes eating the Thinner Crust Pizza versus the Thicker Crust Pizza which doesn't have a crispy texture due to the thicker crust is more softer and is known for their Deep Dish Style Pizza. I asked Sam, how long will it will take him to make my Chicken Club Ranch Pizza? Sam said in approximately (20 to 30 minutes), because the time limit depends on if there are any orders that were placed before me by their customers. I did see this one older man customer he placed his order with Sam before me today, but he ordered a Large Size Pizza for himself. Sam told me their policies are, It is on a first come first serve basis at their restaurant regarding their ordering process. I said to Sam that makes sense then I started to laugh for a few minutes then I stopped. I placed this order for the Chicken Ranch Club Thin Crust Pizza with Sam and I was charged the price of $8.99 and I also ordered the All You Can Eat Salad Bar. The price again was the same $8.99. Then a fountain drink an Orange Crush. This price was $2.79.for this 16 ounce size. it is equal to a large size soft drink. My order total was $20.77. The tax was $1.71. My total bill was $22.48 but I also gave Sam who placed my order a $5.00 Tip in CASH today. Sam thanked me and he was very happy to receive a CASH Tip from me. Sam told me their Chicken Ranch Club Pizza has a White Garlic Sauce for the base sauce versus their traditional red or marinara sauce. Sam said he will first add a thin layer of Olive Oil to the crust then he will spread this White Garlic Sauce on the bottom of this pizza and start adding this Grilled Chicken pieces that he has cut up into bite size pieces. This Grilled Chicken Breast Meat is really tender and has a juicy consistency to it. Sam said he will also add these green onions for color and flavor to make this pizza stand out and finally he will add these smaller size diced tomatoes which are their toppings. It is a simple pizza but it has a signature flavor and unique flavor to this specialty pizza. After these 30 minutes later passed, I saw Sam he brought out this MINI CHICIKEN RANCH CLUB PIZZA out to my table tonight. I t was great to receive table service from Sam at Mountain Mike's Pizza place. Some restaurants do not offer this table service. I believe it is more personable when these employees bring our pizzas to our table. I did have to walk over and serve myself to at the fountain drink machine that is located on the back side of their kitchen. I didn't order their Cookie Chocolate Chip Pizza this time. I did get up and serve myself at the Salad Bar this All You Can Eat method. I had the green iceberg lettuce, sliced mushrooms, sliced tomatoes, and purple onions then I poured the Ranch Dressing on the top of this salad then walked this salad over to my table tonight. I started to take one slice of the Chicken Ranch Club Pizza it was really good and the Grilled Chicken Breast Meat was very tender and delicious. I could only eat about 5 pieces and I couldn't finish the last 6th piece of pizza. Because I was very FULL. I could not eat another bite of pizza. read more

Haven't had Mountain Mikes since I lived in the Bay Area. So I was craving real pizza and so I ordered what I thought would bring me back to that nostalgic feeling.. It didn't. I got a large MT Everest and let me just tell you every bite had a hard piece of a bone. ABSOLUTELY disgusting and their pizza is not cheap! I couldn't even get through the first slice. We like to dip our crust in ranch and sadly it was pretty bad. I suggest an upgrade for this and your pizza and salad sales will increase. Mountain Mike's is conveniently located near the intersection of North River and College in Oceanside. There is ample lot parking. I visited and enjoyed the $9.99 lunch buffet. There was a wide variety of pizzas to satisfy every appetite--pepperoni, cheese, meat lovers, and vegetarian options. The crust is crispy and the sauce is rich. The cheese is fresh and flavorful. The salad bar includes mixed greens and a variety of fresh veggie toppings including black olives, jalapeños, purple cabbage, cucumbers, etc. The lunch buffet is a very good option if you are in the vicinity during weekdays. I only tried this place one time and it was for carry out but I can confidently give them 5 stars anyway. I had the Fallbrook location and it was excellent as well. They have great toppings and the cheese is just the right kind of stringy. It tastes like how I remember pizza tasting when I was a kid. When it hit the spot just right and the cheese pulled off the slice at the end...the best! Anyway all the meat toppings were delicious. The tiny pepperonis turn into little cups for the grease to pool in which sounds wrong but I promise you it's so right! Anyway they were great on the phone, no issues with pickup and they were nice when we asked to use the restroom. They have a lunch buffet during the week for $9.99 too and 40% off large pizzas on Tuesdays I believe too. And the sign said if you show your regal movie ticket you get 20% off your order as well. So lots of deals! They had lots of tables inside and some games so definitely could have stayed to eat but we took it to go. Almost forgot to mention the ranch was very good to dip the crust in! I ordered from DoorDash and got a medium thin pepperoni and this is how my pizza came to me. It was absolutely gross and I was so hungry I ate some but it was a bad idea I ended up throwing up. I don't know this place well because this was the first time ever ordering from here. So whom ever they had working does not apparently care about their job or the food they are serving to the clients. I give it 1 star for quality and if they had a 0 they would get that instead. I should have trusted my gut because I threw up shortly after I ate some of it and I felt regret as soon as I put it in my mouth. It's been 4 years since my last review. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised when I discovered that they now carry Daiya vegan cheese. You cannot order online with the vegan cheese but you can call your order ahead and request it. This is such a treat. The business does have a disclaimer that their pizzas are cooked in a shared kitchen with other non vegan ingredients, so they can't make the vegan claim but they definitely do carry Daiya cheese now with no up charge. This is HUGE and such a game changer. We ordered a cheese pizza for our daughter and the veggie more for ourselves, both with vegan cheese. The pizzas had a nice non greasy crust with lots of veggie toppings. They somehow missed a substitution we had requested on our veggie pizza but after calling the restaurant, they remade it. Legit, the vegan cheese looked like regular cheese and I was skeptical so had to call the restaurant to clarify and they kindly did so. Now that we've discovered vegan friendly cheese, we will be ordering more from here from now on. The only downside I would say is that pricing can be more on the expensive side if ordered on days they don't have any specials. read more

The ambiance is really fun. It's a very clean establishment. My family and I visit once a month for a family pizza and always try a new pie out. Ultimately. My favorite ones are Everest and Mckinley. whether you eat at the spit or take home, the pizza is always piping hot, and you can tell, is made fresh to order. Sometimes you order wings like that and it is overwhelming with too much flavor, but not these delicious, juicy, saucy wings. We have also ordered the garlic bread with bacon on top and they overwhelm the bread with bacon (perfection) and the crust is always crunchy and not too thick/thin. Must try!! Also, they wrap their wings/garlic bread in tin foil to retain the heat and it is much appreciated to have warm to-go food instead of other places that bring it cold. Not that great of an experience. they are in between changing ownership and the new owner has not fixed the prices but wants to charge more. Somebody needs to tell them that's not how business works. They only have one beer on tap out of the six that used to be there. The buffet was a pizza that had been left out for hours and a very sad looking salad bar. I've been to Mountain Mikes for pick up and for delivery through a particular delivery service. If they have their own personal delivery person I'm uncertain because it would say I'm too far for delivery when I'd try it though the website. I've personally never came across a Yelp check in deal or coupons that other's seem to have been able to use (Seen in some guests photos) or be able to cash in on. I've never dined in this establishment pre or post pandemic so I cannot review on how that experience is. The times when I've gone in to pick up an order it wasn't super busy inside. Pretty barren actually. So my guess is most prefer pick up or get delivery from here. I recently got delivery and the prices seem much higher than I remember. Is it me or is getting a pie these days a luxury? Over 30 bucks for a large pineapple luau? I see that in the replies from the manager to other posters reviews that there is a rewards application you can download yet I don't think I can personally redeem that if I'm ordering through a third party delivery service. I'm guessing that is a great option for those who can utilize that. Personally we've never had to request something to be remade because the product wasn't made properly or delivered incorrectly. And for the most part the food is good. Thus us being repeat customers. *also note that they describe their sizes by how many slices in the pies. The slices are slim cut and not to be confused with a NY slice for comparison. They don't advise it that way and don't advise how slim the slices are either. Their slices are in comparison to being like when you request it cut for a kid's birthday party. So everyone gets a bit. Though it does makes for easier eating. *Sometimes the dough is chewier/tougher than other times. *this time I skipped ordering a family sized salad that feeds 5-6 for 28-30 dollars because that is just too expensive IMO. read more

On Saturday, June 20, 2020, at 4:53 pm, I had the misfortune of ordering pizza from the Oceanside, California store. It was an absolutely HORRIBLE experience. I am a big proponent of supporting local business but I will never set foot in the Oceanside store again. I tried to order online. Despite being less than 2 miles from the store, the online order system said I was outside the delivery area. I placed the order for pickup instead. I, and my elderly handicapped aunt are immuno-compromised. Despite that, we wanted pizza and we want to support locally owned business so in spite the pandemic, we loaded up and went to the store to pick up the pizza. The online system also stated we would have to show the credit card with ID when picking up our order. There was no handicap parking close to the store. I guided my handicapped elderly aunt into the store with her ID and credit card in hand to pick up our order. A young woman assisted us at the counter. I asked why they wouldn't deliver within 2 miles. She said they did, despite what the online system said. She said I should have called in the order. I suggested she should ask someone to change the website. She said Mountain Mike's is a franchise and she had no control over the website. I asked why she didn't ask to see the credit card and ID as the website said was required. She said she didn't need it. Had I known that, I would not have taken my handicapped elderly aunt inside!! I was so frustrated, I said from now on we would order from Pizza Hut. She said "YAY!" Yes, you read that correctly. She said "YAY!" I turned around and asked to see the manager. She said she was the manager. I was appalled at her rudeness and lack of customer service. The store had NO other customers. Perhaps your organization can afford to lose customers because you are doing so well in the middle of a pandemic, but I seriously doubt that. I asked her for her name since she was not wearing a name tag. She said "Sara." I asked her for her card. She said she didn't have a card. I asked her to write her name down for me. She refused to give me her last name or the store number. She said I could take a menu for store information. Sara should be ashamed of herself for being an awful "manager" and for being such an extraordinarily rude representative to be providing customer "service." Great sporty environment and food When you sit down at Mountain Mikes Pizza you are surrounded by large TV's broadcasting sports more relevant games (NBA Playoffs as of recently). Decorating the walls on the way to the restrooms are photos that show mountain mikes relation with the city and people of Oceanside, like Oceanside High School sports teams. The phone is always ringing off the hook, it takes forever to get service at one counter then you have to order beer at the other end of the counter with the same person. Streamline the services and add more staff, PLEASE! Your staff is working hard and it's not fair to them OR us as the customer. The customer service is absolutely terrible. If i could give it no stars I would. The lady at the register christina was rude from the moment I walked in. I walked in and the place was smokey I opened the door to air it out. Christina charged us incorrectly and then said there was nothing she could do because we paid split it with cash and card. Over all she was rude to the customers / door dashers and her employees for no reason. (I witnessed in the 45mins i was sitting at the table) on the plus side the man that brought our food to the table was so kind of made up for it.. We came for happy hour. While walking past their business one day, we saw a sign showing some of the specials. $2.99 for buffalo wings? $2.99 for any pint of beer?? I thought they were joking so we came back for happy hour today and was pleasantly surprised! $2.99 for a pint of Elysian Space Dust! 8.2 ABV. I can tell you from experience there is no better price in Southern California...or I haven't seen it yet. We ordered the $6.99 small pepperoni pizza, jalapeno poppers and 2 orders of $2.99 wings. My wife, daughter and I actually could not finish it (we're not big eaters anyway) and for $25 (with tip) we had enough leftovers to bring home. As a yelper, I've visited hundreds (thousands?) of restaurants...fancy, expensive, you name it...but like anyone, I like a good deal. My advice to the owners of Mike's...increase the volume of your sound system and either play music or sports. On a Friday after 4th of July, people want to relax and "party". The place was practically empty at 4pm on a holiday Friday. With the deals they have, they should be packed like Tony Pepperoni's would be (across the street). I would also keep the "buffet" open all the time...or at peak times anyway. I would have spent a lot more trying a slice of a few different specialty pizzas. People like to splurge on weekends. Service was nice and quick. No complaints there. I would also keep the to-go boxes (all sizes) in a more accessible area so we don't have to ask for a small box. Stopped in this location during Mission Plaza Summer Concert series last Thursday. An 80's band and family fair was set up in the parking lot across from Mikes and it seemed like a good time to get a beer and maybe wings while they set up. Just missed happy hour, however they had a great selection of draft IPAs at decent prices. Ordered a Racer5 IPA, A small order of wings for about 8.99 and fried mozzarella sticks for 6.99. The wings were minuscule, see picture. They remind me of the wings of another bird, see picture. Had this been on happy hour they might've been worth half price, but for full price wings these were "lacking". The young lady that helped me Was wonderful. Overall the place was fun but I feel much better value considering the food on happy hour. More a 3.75 Star experience. I would come again for happy hour. I have loved mt mikes in clairemont for 10 yrs 2004-2014. Pizza always perfect. Delivered or at the restaurant! Love the draft beer nice and cold and gamed the young brothers and friends could play. Moved to Oside in 2017 and couldn't believe there was one here. I was never as excited about the food and tonight I'm done. Delivery is 1/2 mile away and pizza is cold and never crispy like I ask. I'm sad, but an old tradition is gone. You've had too many chances and if you can't deliver hot it .5 mile then where can you. So disappointed. It was so nostalgic... I've given too many chances.
