Messed up my billing so terribly bad I have fantastic dental insurance, last crown was $300 out of pocket in 2023 this was $909 which I attributed to Covid and then they sent me a $500 bill. I assumed they must have made a coding mistake and told them to talk to insurance, since idk who makes this large of a blunder, they never called me back and sent me to collections. I have two complaints about this business, as previously posted. Well, I haven't received a call back today, it's Thursday 3/26/26 and it's 330pm. I came by in person to the office and the door is locked, yet the office hours are 8-4pm. I call the office and a women answers asking for my name which is very strange but they must know my vehicle because else is the door locked and she answers the phone to this business strangely . So I ask the women on the phone how long the office is open till, she responds till 4 and I say okay I'll over shortly, I need to discuss a billing issue, is someone there to speak with that can talk about billing" and she responds, yes their is someone here" I said okay. Meanwhile I am in the same parking lot. As I am driving back in to the office which is in view, two ladies leave the office and lock the door behind them, this is at 3:30pm and they have all their belongings with them, they enter this same white car which is parked behind me. They sit and wait inside the car from 3:30-3:49pm together and finally drive off. They are most likely the front end ppl I am suppose to talk to and left the business early despite it being open till 4pm. I am absolutely out raged. read more

I just finished up with my cleaning appointment and I had the pleasure of meeting Rona. She is an amazing dental hygienist. She gave advice on keeping my teeth and gums healthy and her patient hospitality is top shelf. I hope to see her again. She is awesome! read more

Dr. Boscamp and the hygienists are fabulous. They are so nice and great customer service and the reason for 2 stars instead of 1. But the billing department is atrocious! About a year ago the billing department cost me over $1100 because they gave me incorrect information. I am a teacher and our insurance resets July 1. I was in for a routine cleaning at the end of May and had a scheduled appointment for early July for a tooth implant. The doctor was not busy and said let's do it now. I said we need to check insurance coverage since it was about to start over. They checked and said I was good and we did the work! Then, a few months later I received a bill for over $1100!!! That's almost a whole paycheck for me. There was nothing they or insurance could do. I just cried. So unfair. I did decide to stay and not leave because they assured me this never happens and the woman in charge apologized. Well, I went in for my regular cleaning in July. They called and told me Dr. Boscamp had an emergency and could I come in early. I rearranged my scheduled and went in. When I asked if everything was okay, the hygienist said he was leaving for vacation. Not exactly an emergency in my book. They took full x-rays since I was pregnant at my last appointment. Now, I've been receiving a bill for $118. I have called 3 times and left voicemails each time and they do not call back, but continue to send the statement balance. I checked with my insurance and X-rays are covered every 3 years. So I am expected to pay them out of pocket. I've never had repeated experiences like this and I cannot afford it! If you go here, make sure to have your insurance policies memorized so that you don't have to pay out of pocket for their mistakes. read more

I was a patient here for many years. I referred countless coworkers and friends. It was so nice to have a dentist I trusted, especially with my dental anxiety, but that has drastically changed. I have spent almost a year in constant pain and discomfort, due to a bad crown. Dr. Boscamp has still not made any attempt to apologize or make the situation right. When I went back after getting crown, complaining of pain, pressure and the bulky-ness and texture of the crown, Dr. Boscamp told me I'd get used to this UNPOLISHED, ill-fitting crown. I was in so much pain, I got a second opinion, and they found a huge chunk of cement on the crown between the tooth next to it. (No, Dr. Boscamp never took X-rays after placing the crown, nor when I came back in complaining of pain) I have called and messaged the office multiple times, but mostly any requests I have are ignored. We are all human, and make mistakes. But allowing a patient to be in pain, due to your error is not okay. I have asked repeatedly to be refunded for the porcelain crown only, and again, I hear nothing from this office. I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt, which is why I waited almost a year, for Dr. Boscamp to let his pride go and admit mistakes were made, and make things right, but it does not appear he plans to humble himself for the sake of patient care. read more

I started going to Desert Family Dentistry when they were still on Ray/Rural and they were AWESOME then. I loved the office staff, the dental hygienists and the dentist! However, last year I became pregnant and missed my appointment. When I asked them if I could reschedule in a few months and pay the $50 missed appointment fee then, they told me that was fine. A week after my baby was born (around the time I was going to call them to reschedule - I had no time while I was pregnant) I get a call from a creditor saying I have a $120 debt from the dentist. This was the first I'd heard of it. Nobody had called me or sent me anything in the mail - I was still under the assumption that I would reschedule and pay the missed appointment fee then. I paid the $120 despite my reduced pay due to my maternity leave. I don't trust them anymore and that makes me very sad. My mother recently went to see my dentist because of how great I'd told her they were in the past. I hadn't told her about my recent trouble and figured she should be fine as long as she didn't miss her appointment. She told them about a problem she was having when she made her appointment and that she didn't have insurance. They told her that wasn't a problem and gave her estimates over the phone. When she got to the office, the estimates were only for a couple of x-rays which were insufficient for the dentist to diagnose the problem. She was given a new (significantly higher) estimate for more x-rays and a more comprehensive exam. She said she would've been fine with that as long as she got her teeth cleaned but that wasn't included with the new price she'd been given. Even if she'd been willing to pay MORE for the cleaning, their dental hygienists are only in the office a few days a week and weren't there that day. She ended up paying for the few x-rays, never had her original problem fixed and never had her teeth cleaned. I feel terrible for ever having mentioned Desert Family Dentistry to her because she just wasted her money. read more

I went for a cleaning Thursday with Tiffany at this office! I have the worst phobia of dentists. She made me feel calm and safe and did such an amazing job setting my mind at ease and did not cause me any pain. Having such a bad fear meant I didn't keep up on my dental work and cleanings so now I have to go back. However, since I know she will be there I will be making my appointment on Monday. I can not thank them and especially the hygienist Tiffany enough. I feel if I keep going to her I can get rid of my ridiculous phobia and get my teeth back to the healthy state they used to be in! I don't like going to the dentist. In fact, dental appointments have, at times, given me panic attacks. So when I tell you that the one thing I miss about Arizona is this dentist, I hope you can understand the magnitude of that statement. Dr. Boscamp is a skilled dentist with good chairside manor. He is also a generous man. His employees are friendly. They always remembered my preferences as a patient. I would say more, but I don't want to write the names of the people who worked with me. I was referred to Desert Family Dentistry by a close friend. I went to a dentist about a year ago and was told I needed a deep dental scaling and that I had four cavities. I left there very discouraged because my previous dentist had never mentioned any of these problems. I was hesitant going to Desert Family thinking of the cost and pain I was going to endure. The dentist came in and told me that my teeth were great, no cavities and no deep scaling. I love Desert Family Dentistry and have referred many clients and friends. It was my first visit there. It was an emergency visit as well. I was in alot of pain and I had to have a tooth pulled. Dr. and his staff are friendly, professional and very attentive to my dental needs. Dr. Boscamp explained everything step by step, which I appreciated immensely. I had been coming here for months and was really enjoying the treatment I was receiving. I drive quite a ways (45 minutes) because they were patient and accommodating with my sensitivity. I had a crown done about two months ago by Dr. Boscamp that recently started to cause me intense pain. I made an appointment to see Dr. Boscamp and he took an X-ray and examined my tooth. I told him how I was up every night with shooting pain up to my temples and couldn't sleep because the pain was so unbearable. He sands my tooth down because he thinks the two teeth tapping is the problem and sends me on my way WITHOUT antibiotics, even though he even said himself that he saw my inflamed gums and saw a "slight" infection on the X-ray. He told me to continue taking three Advil every three hours for the pain and to come back and see him in a week.... I couldn't wait a week. I ended up going to another dentist for a second opinion because it was starting to interfere with my job and caused me to miss work days. Not surprised, I am told by the second dentist that I do in fact have a VERY infected tooth that was going bad and that I should of been on antibiotics. I spent another $100 for someone to tell me what I already pointed out and was stressing to Dr. Boscamp! I was still willing to come back to this office but when I called to tell him and his staff they could care less. I asked if he could comp $100 off the remainder of my bill ($500) and he absolutely refused. He said he was no longer having this conversation with me and it was HIS judgment to not give me the antibiotics. Obviously his judgment and "personal opinion" was completely wrong and it inevitably costed me more money in the long run. I've spent thousands of dollars here and I won't be giving them another dime of my money. read more
