pad see ew

Great thai spot! I got my food to go and it was ready in 5 minutes. I ordered pad see ew 4 stars with soft tofu and chicken and man... it really hit the spot. I'm bummed I don't live in CO, otherwise, I'd become a regular. Perfect little hidden gem.

Green curry with tofu and extra veg

Tasty food! We ordered carry out. For apps we got chicken satays with roti and the curry puffs. The curry puffs were phenomenal (highlight of the meal!) and the roti was also tasty. For mains we got pad Thai with chicken and green curry with tofu and extra veggies. The pad Thai was a bit underwhelming and likely would not reorder, but the curry was packed with flavor and veggies. Portion sizes were fair for the price, and we'd come back and try some other menu items. Staff was super friendly when we picked up the food.

This is probably one of the best Thai restaurants that I have tried in Colorado. Everything we had was just super flavorful and tasty. The proportions are a good size and everything was yummy. We ordered a variety from pad Thai noodles to the soup to a salad. It was a nice mix of food options. We ordered everything at a mild spice level which was enough for us. You can feel some heat but it wasn't overbearing to the point where you're in pain. So probably like a 2 in heat ranking. The coconut soup was flavorful. I think it would've tasted just fine without tofu or any protein options. The sticky rice was also well cooked. You honestly can't go wrong with anything here. I understand the hype and if you're in the Broomfield area, it is definitely worth it to try. Inside is simple and casual. It may look a little sketchy outside but it's clean and wonderful inside. Everyone is really nice and food comes out quite quick.

Very yummy! We loved the wonton and tea! The spice level was just right. I want to try more next time!

We've been on a mission to find the best Thai food, and I think we may have found the winner. Unfortunately, it's a bit of a drive for us, but I think this place is worth an occasional trip to get our fix. We ordered the pumpkin curry with chicken, pad see ewe with chicken, drunken noodle with beef, and spring rolls--everything but the appetizer was mild+. Personally, I could go for a medium spice level next time, but one person in our party thought the mild+ was spicy. Everything was so delicious and the portions were generous. We ended up taking some food home and had some leftovers this morning. Yum! The service was also great, which only added to our positive dining experience. Highly recommend coming here if you haven't tried this place already. We'll be back for sure!

I have spent easily several months throughout Thailand, and Mountain Thai is authentic and well made Thai cuisine. I'm so happy my family and I visited this past weekend. Service was quick during a busy time. The crab Rangoon's (technically an American invention) were outstanding. The drunken noodles and pineapple rice were great as well. Price seems standard for this area. Perhaps slightly expensive where I live full time, but the quality is superb so I didn't mind. Folks inside were happy and enjoyed their food. I don't recall seeing Thai beer, but that would be a nice plus.

The dab of Thai spice mixed nicely with the Tom Kha soup. Perfect in so many ways

Mountain Thai Kitchen, wow, bam, kachow! Is there such thing as love as first bite? Delicious food and wonderful staff from beginning to end. Even when they forgot about my Thai Tea the guy behind the counter and I joked about it. We both already had such a long day that it was a such a nice icebreaker since our little dinner group was eating and eating from the moment we got there. The restaurant is fast casual and I would definitely like to see some soundproofing in the future since it does echo a bit. All that goes out the window after you start eating. This is THE BEST Thai I've had in Colorado and I don't even need to second guess my order. The Tom Kha soup, Drunken Noodles and Mango Sticky Rice were all spot on. I would change nothing but the aforementioned comments about the space. Otherwise, I am already looking forward to the next trip here. Please don't change cause everything is great! Eat here, eat often, dine in or take out, they will take care of you!

Shrimp egg rolls

-Pad see ewe with beef (10/10 great portion and great flavor, made with fresh noodles which I look for) -Basil Ribeye Steak (9/10 amazing flavor, wish I could choose the doneness of the steak) -Shrimp egg rolls (9/10 the sauce is a little too sweet for my liking) -Papaya salad (9/10, Thai style) Overall, the owners were so sweet and our food was brought out really quickly, especially for a big group. Would definitely come back.

We always get takeout, and it never disappoints. The food is greasy and tasty. And the takeout service is great.

I'd say the consensus was overall positive. But we do have some critique. I had the drunken noodles with pork and mild spice. It was tasty. I enjoyed the sauce, but the pork was tough and there weren't many vegetables. The pork was better as a leftover later. I ordered this because it listed veggies. But those were sparsely placed. Perhaps I needed to ask for extra. My husband had Moo Ping very mild. He said it was tasty, but again, the pork was chewy, hard for him. The rice was so hard, he couldn't cut it with his fork. So that went uneaten. My friends went hotter and it seemed their meals were better. She had Grandma's Pad Thai. I tasted it. Yummy. He had a very hot curry that I didn't try, but he seemed to enjoy it. If I went back, I'd get her dish. They also ordered three appetizers. Edamame might have been frozen. They were mushy to me. And no salt that I detected, so bland. I didn't put enough sauce on the golden tofu, I guess. The others enjoyed it. My husband really liked it. And we all enjoyed the shrimp tempura. My friend also had a mixed drink and seemed to enjoy that. It was quiet enough that we could catch up and it's in between where we live. In all, a good experience, with both hits and misses.

I can't say his name, but he was very respectful honorable and explained the meals to us as it was our first time and he saved us quite a bit of money explaining to us that the order of noodles and beef was big portion and that we did not need to order any appetizers, which was wonderful of him to point out. I came in on a very busy day of the year so am rounding up since the staff was working really hard to get orders out the door. I ordered a large chicken pho and roasted pork fresh spring rolls to go. The portion of pho broth and bean sprouts was great, but the amount of chicken was a bit disappointing (about 6 total pieces of shredded chicken). Broth was just ok, I added quite a bit of sriracha, lime, basil, and hoisin sauce and still felt it lacked some flavor. The spring roll portion size was great and I loved the massive serving of peanut sauce. The roasted pork inside was incredibly dry. I'd probably opt for tofu or shrimp next time.

You know a place is good when we come twice in a row during vacation!…read more We were in CO for the Rocky Mountain Siberian Husky Club specialty and I was craving Thai food. As I hail from CA, we have plenty of authentic Thai restaurants to choose from. As such, I was looking for a small, authentic Thai place near Brighton, where the show was being held. Ponsawan came recommended, and I was immediately drawn to this place especially with its namesake. Some of the best Thai places I've been to have "difficult"-sounding names. It was dinner the first time we went, and we were seated quickly. Our server was friendly, and gave us time to peruse the menu. I went with the pineapple fried rice while my husband went with the pork pad Thai. The pineapple fried rice had a lovely wok hei and there were plenty of fresh pineapples as well. I loved the cashews on the side, and the crispy cucumbers. Portion size was perfect. My husband's pad Thai was saucy and tamarind-y. Personally, I prefer a drier pad Thai, but he enjoyed this, I think mainly because of how strong the tamarind flavor was. Our server asked if we wanted to try the mango sticky rice since she said it was mango season, but we politely declined. The next day, we were both craving Ponsawan again, so we came for a late lunch. The owner recognized us and welcomed us back in. This time, we also got drinks and an app. I went with the Thai tea and my husband went with the Thai coffee. Both were not too sweet and a good strength. The app we chose was the dumplings, which were fried to perfection and came with the most delicious dipping sauce. As far as our entrees, I went with the pork pad kee mao and my husband went with the yellow curry fried rice. Our server apparently heard his order incorrectly and gave him the pineapple fried rice, but apologized and was quick to rectify the situation. As such, I received my food first, and had to wait a few more minutes before we could eat together. The pad kee mao had the perfect amount of spice, and the pork was tender. The yellow curry fried rice again had a lovely wok hei and the curry powder was delightfully pungent. Both times we dined, our food didn't take long to arrive at all. I'd say less than 15 minutes for both of our dishes. They had lunch specials, but for the price point of the entrees, it was a no brainer to just order entrees. The food was super affordable and the portion sizes were not skimpy at all. Not huge, but definitely not skimpy. Ponsawan is easily on my favorites list for the Denver area and we will most certainly be back the next time we go to CO! (I will also need to try their curries, so that is a high priority for our next visit.)

There were six of us in our party. I ordered the chicken pot stickers for my son and me to share. They were crispy on the outside with tender filling. They came with soy sauce for dipping. Tasty, I would get again. For our meals, I chose the Drunken Noodles, medium with chicken. These met my expectations. Tasty sauce, just enough heat, tender chicken, onions, carrots and cabbage too. I ate half and brought half home to have as my lunch the next day. My son chose the Pad Thai, mild with chicken. Overall he liked it but it was a bit heavy on the fish sauce. He still enjoyed his meal, but felt he would chose a different dish next time. Our friends all enjoyed their appetizers and entrees. We had good conversation. At the end, there was not problem breaking the check into the different groupings.
