I would recommend finding another place for automobile repairs. I have been here about four times and haven't been too happy the past two times. They have often gouged the prices, the manager is kind of disgusting, and I've had one or two additional mechanical issues since they have worked on my car. They frequently do not have parts in stock, and overall are just pretty unprofessional. Been going there for 25 years. There was a recent management shakeup and the service has gone down hill. The manager argued with me about something he quoted me last time I was there about a tire warranty. The final straw was when the manager "Tony" was very rude to me and another customer. When I went in to have tires installed. I took my tires (unmounted) and left the store! Beware of the upsell I went in for an oil change and while my owners manual recommends synthetic blend oil, they refused to provided the service because their computer says that it needed to be full synthetic. In addition, they said that it would be an hour and a half before they could start working on my car, so I said that I would go run a few errands while I waited, but they told me that they would not hold my space and the car needed to remain there. Today, my tire pressure warning light came on & I went to Mountain View Tire & Auto Service because I had the same experience with my previous car & they were very helpful. The technician showed me the nail in the tire & recommended replacement, since a patch wouldn't work next to the sidewall where the nail was. They had the exact tire in stock & I was out in less than an hour. I also took my sister there when her tire was leaking. Great service & reasonable price. Highly recommended. read more

It's been a while since my last review here. According to some other reviews there was a change in ownership/management and boy does it show. I dropped my car off and left it overnight to get an oil change, inspection, and some dead tail lights replaced. Today I called multiple times to get an idea of when I could go and pick up the car. I tried multiple times over the course of an hour and no one picked up the phone. Finally they answered and told me the car was ready, weird that they hadn't called me to let me know. When I arrived, the oil change and inspection had been completed, but when I asked about the tail lights and which ones they had to replace they told me that there was nothing indictating I wanted the lights checked. It's listed on the receipt. The nice fellow at the desk said he's go and take a look, came back and told me they could do it but because there's a process to remove the entire enclosure it would take about an hour and said that he would only charge 60 as opposed to the 100 they would normally charge since it wasn't taken care of. $60 to replace one bulb, after a discount... Called pep boys and they quoted me $35 dollars. Went over and they didn't have the bulb but replaced another bulb that was dimming and didn't charge me a dime. I ordered 2 of the bulbs on Amazon and watched a video where it takes a total of 1 minute to remove the enclosure. I will be replacing the bulb myself. The previous owners were so amazing and they would commonly replace my dead bulbs for free. This new ownership, and what they have turned Mountain View into is very disappointing and I will not be returning ever again. You can see from all the recent reviews that their service has gone WAY WAY downhill. They get 2 stars because I am assuming they actually changed my oil and the two employees I spoke with were very nice. Tony and Jose I believe. I cannot in good conscience recommend this business to anybody. Hopefully things turn around and I can go back, but I don't see that happening anytime soon. read more

They were always able to fit me in the same day and prices were reasonable. My husband and I have been so happy with Mountain View we use them for oil changes. Came here for new break pads and an oil change. When I called the Lady told me it's going to be 199$ for break pads I said ok great. She also told me you get a 200$ credit towards something else they have a promotion going on. BMW quoted me 341$ for the service so i decided to go here, an hour later they call me saying It's 399$ for your break pads and you have this this and this wrong too. I said just for the pads and the oil change. When I went to pay I said don't I get a 200$ credit for another service since I bought the break pads? He said no you need to get rotors too ... says on the wall.... Hahah the sign said break pads OR rotors and he's like yeah that's a mistake should say and............. I feel like if I u post something on ur wall and when I call u tell me it's this then u should honor the price u say! Not to mention I dropped my car off at 10:45 he told me 2 hrs I come back at 3:15 and the car is just sitting there with no tires on and no one working on it. I came to this place with a flat tire on June 30th 2023 with a flat tire on my bmw the guy who helped me out was a nice guy he checked for me if they had the tire and said it would arrive after the 4th of July so I didn't want to wait he said check if someone else has it and we can put it on for me since my car was stuck there I came back the following day with the tire and the manager of the store was very rude a guy by the name of joe he said we are fully booked and that they do not install tires that we're not purchased at there shop I told him the guy from the night before said it wouldn't be a problem so this very rude manager joe said they would charge me a outrageous price like 50 dollars for 1 tire and that they would not do it today he also didn't want to check to see if I had an appointment and then told me to leave the shop when I asked him for his business card this place needs to get rid of this joe manager guy before they start loosing a lot of business I Can highly recommend tires by mark best shop on the valley read more

Ok, so my wife managed to puncture 2 tires in 2 weeks. Both times, Mountain View were able to patch them. The service was fast, efficient, courteous and very reasonably priced. No upselling. Great value. read more

I bought some tires online and these guys mounted them. Nice guys, that part went fine. I also paid for an alignment. Because my old tires had off wear pattern which is why I was replacing them I was there about a hour and a half. The mechanic gave it back and said it's closing time but I didn't have enough time to finish. The steering wheel is off 10-15 degrees to the right. Bring it back. Ugh... Sunday evening. Took it home, left it parked all week wanting it to be safe and wear my new tires. Took it back the following Saturday. This time I dropped it off and left it all day. Got a call that it needed $1200 in parts and labor to fix. Based on the time they had it and the explanation given, I asked them to put it back together and give it back which they did without additional charges but wheel still off to the right. Took it to a dedicated alignment and frame shop that I trust just a few miles away. He kept it about 2.5 hours. Charged me $55 and had everything back in order. I really don't think these guys were trying to rip me off but instead a lack of knowledge or experience led to overestimating what was needed to get the repair done correctly. read more
