If I could give negative, I would have! TERRIBLE! Terrible! Terrible! This was supposed to be one of the happiest days of the year -- my little nephew's birthday. Instead, Mountasia turned it into a complete disaster that left us stressed, embarrassed, and heartbroken. From the start, it was chaos. They wrote down the wrong date, so when we arrived, it looked like we were the ones unprepared. Imagine showing up with excited kids and family only to feel like you're the problem when you did everything right. The party room wasn't ready until an hour late, the food came out way behind schedule, and the cake -- the centerpiece of the whole celebration -- was delayed so long that some guests gave up and left before even seeing it. The children were restless, confused, and disappointed. There was no service whatsoever. We didn't get the water bottles we paid for, staff disappeared when we needed them most, and instead of enjoying the party, we were running around begging for help. I couldn't even focus on the kids. My heart sank when my nephew fell and started bleeding because I was busy chasing staff down instead of being there with him. That's the kind of day it was. To make matters worse, when the food finally came, staff acted like it was a burden to serve the chicken we had chosen. They literally said, "Most people just order pizza." If you can't serve what you advertise, then don't put it on the menu. We paid for it -- we deserved it without the attitude. Even something as small as buying a plush toy turned into a 30-minute wait at an empty register because, apparently, "they're short on staff." And the final blow? My sister called management afterwards, desperate for some kind of acknowledgment or apology. Instead, she was mocked. They told her she "wasn't clear," sarcastically wished her "good luck getting a refund," refused to give their names, pretended to be managers, and then hung up on her. Who does that to a parent after ruining a child's birthday? I cannot express the disappointment and sadness we felt. We paid for a party package, but what we got was stress, humiliation, and tears. My nephew deserved joy, laughter, and celebration. Instead, Mountasia took that away from him and from us. Please -- if you love your children, if you respect your family and your time, stay far, far away from this place. This is a cool place to take your family. Is can get pricey, so I recommend just getting the two hours. Either do the golf course or the go cart. But not both it was too much for us. Plus, spending time in the arcade makes the hours go fast. It definitely adds up if you do the arcade plus getting food and so on. But the most important we had fun. read more

Let's start by saying, I genuinely love giving great places top notch reviews, and was hoping to do so with "mountasia" unfortunately I'm not going to be able to do so. Prior to coming, I purchased 4 hour unlimited passes for Go-karting and mini-golf, we figured we get there at 6 and let our kids have fun right til about closing, however upon arrival an employee posted a sign that said Go-karts shut down at 6pm, but on the website the time allotted is til 10pm. After a back and forth with one of the female employees (she didn't have a name tag, looked young and had an apathetic attitude), another gentlemen came out and gave us our refund, we decided to play a round of mini-golf. I was a little disappointed in the mini golf course, not that every other place is world class, however this isn't even on par with average. No fun and unique designs, all the holes are damaged, some you have to stick your hand literally into trash because the bottom has been broken out. After finishing, we wanted to get some snacks, however that same female employee decided that they had just closed concession and were no longer offering food, even though we could clearly see all the machines operational and smell food inside. We let the kids play some games, to find yet again half the games inoperable, damaged or poorly functioning. Honestly, most of the issues with this place could be looked over if those on the staff had good attitudes and sought to at least provide good customer service. 2 of the gentlemen were kind, one who's name was Connor I believe was respectful and helpful. As this was an outing for my sons birthday, I was very disappointed. Wont be coming back again. read more

Looking to bring a cheesy, but romantic, spark to your relationship? Mini-golf might be the perfect date for you. There are tons of gag-me-now moments to be had on the greens: the gal requesting some help with her swing, the guy letting his sweetheart win, or a stealing a kiss in the cave. Of course, not all dates go flawlessly, and that was our experience this past Saturday at Mountasia. We arrived around 6:30pm, and there were still plenty of screaming children in the arcades. If you're looking for the high school couples scene, try arriving around 7:30 (but remember they close at 9pm!). We had a coupon for the All-Day-Pass which includes unlimited mini-golf ($7.99/game for adults), unlimited bumper boats ($5.99/ride for adults), and unlimited go-karts ($5.99/ride for adults). The cost for an all-day-pass is $25, but we got a steal from Half-Off Depot for $10/each. They let us use the $25 however we wanted; but the all day pass was still the best deal since we mainly wanted to play mini golf. But it should be noted that they have lots of various packages and deals. 4 stars for mini-golf. They have three courses: Zebra (most difficult), Giraffe (moderate), and Elephant (easiest). Because most kids were on the Elephant course, that's the one we skipped. All the courses could really use some sprucing up. Because I suck at putt-putt, my ball was continuously getting stuck in between the rocks surrounding the greens- but I feel it should have just bounced off. Overall, I would say the greens were really worn. There were some that were torn up. I will say that I did enjoy the challenge that most of the holes presented. They had plenty of multi-level holes, some hills (nothing too hard), and some curves but nothing extreme. There were no holes that had jumps (over streams) and no obstacles to overcome like a windmill or clown's mouth. Although it wasn't the most exciting course (mostly Par 2's) I thought it was more fun/challenging than the Pirate's Cove course. 2 stars for bumper boats. We could have done without the bumper boats. The water is a bit murky, but the boats don't go fast enough for you to get seriously wet from bumping anyway. Just avoid the spraying fountains on one side of the pond and you'll stay dry... but bored. I'm sure kids love it, but no thrills for adults here. Go-Karts get 3 stars. The course was cool, but make sure you are wearing enclosed shoes otherwise you can't ride. I was part of the the pouting parade of girlfriends and sisters who wore their cutest spring flip flops or strappy heels for mini-golf only to find out they couldn't race their male counterparts in some go-kart. My bf seemed to enjoy it, although he said there wasn't much point to the acceleration or brake since you never take your foot off the accelerator. Overall, I give this place 3-stars, A-OK. I'm not sure I'll ever find putt-putt heaven in Atlanta, but this is a good ol' standby. read more

My 3 young adults and husband and I had lots of fun. Their prices haven't sky rocketed like everyone else. We got the family package that included go kart tickets, putt putt and arcade It was the best deal. It wasn't too crowded and we didn't have to wait in lines while golfing. Very pretty scenery with caves and lots of water features. 3 diff levels to choose from. We got to the go karts just after they closed them (they close an hour earlier) but the workers were so nice and let us ride anyway. They were very helpful and made it a lot of fun and one of them even raced with us. We had a blast. This is an older business but it's been kept up pretty well and for the price it's totally worth it. read more

If I could give it less stars I would. This place is very unsafe and I would not recommend. This weekend we decided to go here for golf and go karting for a birthday. The mini golf was fine and actually had very beautiful scenery. The downside was the go karting. There is a clear rule that says no bumping. My worst fear in go karting is getting bumped. I decided to go go-karting only because they had a two-seater and I would not be driving, but also because we were the only ones on the track so I figured there was no one to bump us. However, after us driving around the track for almost 10 min (which is supposed to be the allotted time for go-karting), the staff allowed a bunch of teenagers to enter. Normally the people on the track get 10 min or so and then the last lap sign would flash. Because other people entered before we were done, it was very unclear when it would be our last lap. We decided to get off the track because we didn't want to go for another 10 minutes, which we assumed would be the case since a bunch of people had just gotten on the track and they certainly wouldn't start flashing the last lap sign if others just got on the track. We pulled off to the side so that the staff would let us out and were rear-ended badly by someone going full speed around the track. Just because the rule is no bumping it obviously doesn't mean that you will not get bumped. It's not like there are any consequences of someone does run into you. It's overall very dangerous and I don't think that the staff were very communicative as to when we would get off the track and they certainly shouldn't have let a bunch of people on the track without informing us that our turn was over. The teenagers literally could've just waited one minute while we finished the last lap and gotten out of the track safely. Instead we were rear ended extremely badly and we at least need our money back or some sort of resolution. I would never be back due to the unsafe conditions and the fact that there are people working here that honestly don't care if you get hurt or not read more

The location could be awesome but it is not maintained. The putting surfaces and rocks are mildewed, the running water meant to run through the three putt putt courses has no running water - instead you get pools of stagnant water which is a breeding found for frogs and mosquitoes. The wood in most of the walkway and bridges are on the verge of rot. The whole place could use a good power washing and some TLC. I would suggest going somewhere else. read more

I should have paid more attention to the reviews. We are new to atl and wanted to find a go karting experience for our 7 year old. I can look over the blemishes, sometimes I feel it gives the place character. But what I can't ignore is the rude customer service I've received. Very non-chalant, they do not want to help, and don't ask any questions because they look offended when you do. I can't say enough how rude they are, and how they would rather speak amongst other employees, than assisting customers. Needless to say, I will not be back. They also don't care about Covid. I have to update my review on this place and be a little more honest. If you are in Atlanta and want a little nostalgic arcade trip it's pretty fun. I've never rode their go-karts or played mini golf there though. But if you want all classic games and pinball, you're better off going to a couple other places. Some of the arcade games could use a little maintenance. I feel like Mountasia is run by mostly teenagers or people in their early '20s. On House of the Dead (my favorite), the monitor's seen better days; blowing off zombie brains was a challenge. The audio on Scud Race (Super GT) was pretty low, but it still fully worked, which was surprising. Top Skater though, was not very playable. I couldn't turn my skateboard! But I guess since all old games cost 1 token per play, what can you expect? If you live nearby it and wanna play a little House of the Dead or a quick racing game, it's worth checking out, but until a proper "classic style" arcade gets the games I like in, I'll be going there instead while in Atlanta. 3 stars. read more

This place would be great if they would take a little of their profit and clean it up!! The putt putt courses are challenging but dirty with weeds and no water in the waterways. There are dead fish floating in others and leaves and dead snails on greens! We were there right after opening time and think they would do well with a grounds keeper or at least have someone go out with a broom and dust pan in the morning before guest arrive. I am sure this place was nice a long time ago but as long as I have lived in Cobb County, this place has looked rundown. Visited today and they still don't have their miniature golf course wide running water. Owners still won't replace the pump that has been out for the past 3 years. This creates stagnant water and lots of mosquitos. Steps around miniature golf course are rotting and there is landscape debris everywhere. Very dated place that is falling apart. read more

Mountasia needs some major renovations. It looks like it was once a fun entertainment venue to take your family. I have no idea how old the place is, but from walking around inside, it probably looks older than it is just because they've done a poor job keeping it well maintained. I realize it hasn't rained in Atlanta in a while, but they still need to add water to the water areas surrounding the miniature golf course. It looked as if it had been through a major drought. On one hole where the ball was supposed to jump over a water creek, instead the ball fell in and popped back out, which I guess is good for not losing balls. But not good for what it was intended for. They also closed one of the three golf courses down because of some very minor debris. I feel like that should've been cleaned up and addressed prior to opening. Another issue I had was that go kart didn't open until mid afternoon. So unfortunately we weren't able to experience it on this occasion. And finally, the front looks like it was once intended for bumper boats. But they have since given up on it, and the water looks murky and disgusting. It's a shame, because the one at Malibu Grand Prix was a lot of fun. It seems like the owner is not really doing much to attract customers, which is very unfortunate because it seems like a very promising entertainment spot. I hope it doesn't go out of business because I would love to take my kids when they're older. But I seriously doubt that, unless they have some type of overhaul soon. read more

The putt putt area looked like it had just been cleaned up (tress and shrubs freshly trimmed), go carts were super fun......but the best thing of it all was THE STAFF! I've enjoyed playing mini-golf here since it was built about 30 years ago. Yes, I'm still a big kid at heart. The area sure has changed in that time, but Mountasia keeps hanging on. And I for one am glad about that. Sure, over time the courses have become a little run down (but it's not that bad, despite what other reviews you may read on here). I think the holes are well designed and all three courses are fun and fairly challenging. The courses are much better designed (and by that, I mean more challenging) than the ones over at The Aurora Cineplex in Roswell. The Arcade is good with lots of games. I've never done the go-carts (just never sounded fun to me - I've never done them anywhere). I was there just yesterday afternoon and had a great time. We did the mini-golf Elephant course, which winds its way up near the top of the waterfall. Because of the age of the property, the trees, shrubs, and flower bushes are mature, and everything was in full bloom. Pretty. Hang in there Mountasia! read more

Wow...this place is cheesy. We tried this place out for the first time this past Saturday using some Half Off Depot Certificates that allowed us unlimited go-carts, bumper boats, and miniature golf. As an adult...there certainly is a limit as to how much of that you can put up with. This place seems really out-dated and must have been there for 20 years now with minimal upgrades over that time-frame. If you paid for things a la carte, this place would get expensive fast. The go-carts are now $5.99 per ride, bumper boats $5.99, and then golfing is $7.99. We of course tried all 3. The go-carts were probably the best part out of everything that was offered. Pretty typical figure 8 course, but still fun. The bumper boats were absolutely terrible. They move very slowly and the water that they're floating in is filthy. Despite the fact that the bumper boats were included in our pass, I wouldn't recommend you even waste your time getting on these let alone paying $5.99 to do just that. Finally, the miniature golf course was just lame. Whatever happened to windmills, giant gorillas, etc...on the course. The artificial turf was very worn and I honestly wonder how thoroughly they blow the course to keep crap off of it. It was cool to play, but the course was not very challenging and looks like they tried to get away with the cheapest possible way to "wind" 3 different golf trails together. The video games were a bit outdated as well despite the fact that we decided not to drop any more money into this dying "Family Funcenter". Thank goodness for the Half Off Depot Certificate, because, I cannot honestly say I have even the remotest interest in going back to this place. Friend and I missed the entrance from 5-75 because of some overgrown trees. That should've given us an idea of what's to come. Trust me, I was prepared to expect the worst after a Half-Off Depot deal for Malibu Grand Prix. So I don't know why I thought buying a deal for Mountasia would be better. This place has definitely seen better days and I'm a little sad to see how so many mini golf places turn to crap because I enjoy playing so much. My best guess is that it's hard to maintain these fun centers. Bottomline, if you're here for miniature golf, you're better off going to Pirate's Cove. However, if you're bored with Pirate's Cove (which only has 2 courses - one 18-hold, and one 9-hole), then this place is ok. Some of the holes, although on different courses, are the same. They're not exactly creative with the holes (i.e. no windmills or fancy challenges). Bypassed the go-karts because, well, what's the point in driving a little cart when we've got cars? Bumper boats seemed nasty as nobody was on this. Hole 2 or 3 on the Elephant course is next to the bumper boat pool and it smelled really bad there. read more

We were in town for a baseball tournament and were looking for a place for a group of teenage boys to have fun and this place did not disappoint. They had a great time riding go carts, playing miniature golf, as well as playing the arcade games. It is a great environment for good old family fun!!! How can you run a family oriented establishment, and have extremely rude and mean employees, plus a manager that does absolutely nothing to resolve an issue? Arrgggg I say!!! This poor place. I'm sorry but if I had kids I wouldn't take them here. As someone said the place isn't pretty (at allllll) but the miniature golf is ok. That's about it though. The place from the outside looks like it's about to collapse (please someone; management, owner, whoever. Please do some serious renovations) the water looks like you could easily catch something and not a good something like some fish for dinner, and the place itself is just small. I don't mind the small so much but the appearance itself is enough for me to say "Um, no. Sorry guys. Nexxxttt!" A company I worked with decided to have an annual meeting there this past summer 2007, and they didn't know any better because the company is based out of Florida. Let's just say....no let's not just say. This is how it went down. We had the meeting and the company purchased chips and miniature golf for everyone and I kinda felt bad but once the meeting was over everyone prefered going back to work than staying here and playing any games. The family fun center you hoped your parents would surprise you with. Sure it's been there forever, but when was the last time you set aside the race car video games and raced your family members? I got my Wario on and destroyed my family- ok, maybe I was in last place each round but a mom can dream. Great family fun with a reasonable price. The golf courses are a bit run down looking but loads of fun was had by all. Video Game Center has entertainment for all- don't expect your tickets to go far but that's not unusual. The staff were always polite and friendly. I'd like to say specifically Nick and Austin with the go karts handled themselves exceptionally well. When an unruly group started showing out, I was very impressed they stayed calm, and held their ground. I was thinking we'd have to leave to avoid the drama but no need- they tossed those line hopping, rule breaking, kart bumping hooligans. Those jerks tried to ruin the fun, but not on their watch. Mountasia has gone up and down over the past 20 years, and now it is back down. My 2017 review was glowing after a good refurbishment. But alas, it has not been kept up and now it is badly in need of another. We went last month and were soooo disappointed. Many of the greens need repair or replacement and the water was off in most places. Painting is also needed. And it is expensive to just play mini-golf. I hope they can do some repair, as this used to be one of the best places for mini-golf. read more

There aren't too many mini golf choices around Atlanta, but you can do better. Being pretty much a mini-golf pro (i grew up near the mini-golf mecca of south coastal Maine) I have harsh judgements of places that aren't awesome. This place isn't even close, especially if you're paying full price. I had a much better time at Pirate's Cove. The courses here are VERY simple and have little in the way of creativity. No water hazards or difficult hills or obstacles. Just ragged great carpet up to a hole. Most of the pars are 2, so that tells you something. It was great weather when we went, but it's going to get smelly when it starts to get really humid, because it already is slightly, especially by the bumper boats. We had a $10 do everything coupon, so we tried everything, and the bumper boats were the lamest. Only 5 years olds would be entertained. The best part about this place is definitely the go karts. Pretty fast. Little kids doing this will be bumped and passed all day long, so keep that in mind. I wasn't passed at all because i'm pretty much the male Danica Patrick. I would say this is 3 stars for the price, but the normal price isn't worth the poor quality and low difficulty of the mini-golf courses. Don't call it putt putt. :) read more

This place was great for my purposes: my husband and I taking our 4 year old nephew here for a day (and giving his parents an evening alone :). We got there about 3:45 and left around 9pm... he still didn't want to leave. NOTE before you go - if you want to ride the go-karts, you can't wear sandals or flip-flops!!! It was great that while I was in line to get all-day passes, my husband and the nephew went to go play games. It was very entertaining in that there was always another option of something to go and do. Once we played games, we got in line for bumper boats. Once we did that (even though the little guy wanted to do the boats again) we got a round of mini-golf in. Then we got a snack and got in line for the go-karts. Then we decided to pacify him with another round of games and bumper boats before we left. Pros: lots of options, very young-kid friendly, nice layout with waterfalls and streams running through the course, snacks available, easy to spend several hours here! Cons: LONG wait times for go-karts and bumper boats (due to HALF of the boats being inoperable!) - we're just lucky we've got a mostly patient 4 year old! read more
