Wow - I'm impressed! Setting up the appointment was a breeze. These guys were on time, super friendly, helpful, and handled all of our stuff with care. They didn't even mind a semi-last minute second stop to pick up furniture we were getting from a friend on the way (No extra charge! Just the time it took.). Update: After writing my original review, I did receive an apologetic call from Paul as well as partial reimbursement for my move along with a request that I update my Yelp review. Because of the timely and appropriate response, the review has been updated from 2 to 3 stars. Disappointing and I'm curious where others are getting their great experience from. I've never even written a Yelp review but it's a few days later and I'm still upset about this company. I could have been forgiving of the situation if just the moving process itself was poor, as I know we can all be stressed trying to move. In this case however, both the customer service and the moving process were a horrible experience for me. Had an appointment for 9am this past Saturday. I received a message at 8:50am that morning saying they were heading over and would be at my place about 9:30am. There was no apology or explanation as to why they were 30 minutes late at all. Had I not been the first person in the morning, I would be understanding that maybe someone else's move went late but this was obviously not the case. I called the manager (or maybe owner), Paul, who came off like he could care less to make sure that his team provided great customer service. Speed was less than efficient. I was moving barely enough items to fill a small studio apartment. Aside from the men moving the three furniture pieces I have, I think I may have moved half of my own boxes during the process. When we arrived at my new place, I had to stop them from putting bags and boxes all over the bedroom, as they never stopped to ask where I'd want furniture, so that we could keep from moving things twice. At the end of the move, they brought me the paperwork and weren't even going to put my bed together (which is simply a frame, heavy box spring, and a mattress). I had to request for them to do that, as the box spring would be a bit much for myself to handle. I received a message at the end of their work day that they had forgotten a box of mine (I was the first person in the morning, so I was the only one who would have had boxes in the truck at the end of my move) and they would be dropping it off outside my door. They managed to also drop off someone else's black folding table and had to contact me again later to pick that up another day and deliver it to the correct household. They charge approx. $20 for every 15 minute interval. After the men were late, I did call Paul and requested a discount for the 30 minutes of my time that they had wasted, since if I wasted their time, they would still be charging me. He did easily back off and take the discount for me, although he still never seemed apologetic or even phased that my experience was disappointing. I would not recommend this place. read more

Gave one star because it won't let me do zero. Worst moving experience of my life. The guy that showed up late was rude start to finish, broke multiple things, tried to act like I didn't show him some drawers in my closet, but I did multiple times. Even if I didn't show you earlier, you still need to move them...I'm moving. They slammed boxed down so hard that I keep finding broken things as I unpack. I have 3 rolling wardrobes that are brand new, and when he unloaded one of them missing 2 wheels, I asked where they are, and he said they were never there. You rolled them out of my house on 4 wheels, and now you say they weren't there? It took them an hour and fifteen minutes to make the 25 minute drive to my new place. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY...THEY ARE TERRIBLE. read more

These guys were awesome. They showed up at 8:00AM on the dot. We hired three guys and a 26' truck for our 4 story, 3 bedroom townhome. We only needed them to move the large furniture and they were done loading the truck in an hour and a half. They took care to wrap everything in plastic and padding, and unloaded where we directed. They were done by 11:00 AM, 3 hours! Best move ever. read more

Thanks Paul, Max & Bob for the move yesterday. The entire team was responsive and professional. The price was better than any other quotes I'd received (*the next lowest quote was still substantially more costly.) They met their quoted time frame and extended a friendly discount. Everything that wasn't wrapped, they wrapped at no extra charge. Nothing was damaged (furniture, walls, etc...) and they were very good about making sure everything went into the right place and room. Neither of them even took a personal break during the 3 hour job. It was a breath of fresh air. Extra kudos for being flexible with the schedule requests and even bumping the job up a day sooner. Also, I felt that my home would be safe after they left. I've hired movers in the past that made me concerned that they may have been casing my home for burglary. I DIDN'T (***DID NOT***) feel that was AT ALL with Movable!!! Minor opportunities for improvement would be to have the quote and customer info already printed to avoid confusion and spending extra time to complete it. Also the insurance options pricing wasn't listed and the team wasn't able to address that on site. Not a big deal. They did a fantastic job, no damages occurred, so there was none needed. read more

The worst moving experience we have ever had!!!!! Our appointment was for 10:00 AM. The movers called around 9:43 AM and told us that they would arrive at 11:00 AM without any apology. The movers arrived & one of the movers was very rude. He was complaining, cursing & kept yelling at his partner. They moved some of the furniture, but they could not move a desk from the office. They damaged the wall & door frame. We called Paul to discuss about the issue. Paul talked to his movers, and the "rude" mover said he was quitting his job & he could no longer deal with "this". They were very unprofessional. We fired the movers on the spot & decided to use another moving company. DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICE. They provided quote cheap, but they could not deliver the service. read more

I used their service to move my house hold items(2 Bed room house) from Redmond to Kirkland. I asked them to pack the items and they came with no boxes.Finally i end up running to HomeDepot to get the boxes. They were very reluctant to pack the items, they were watching us when we were packing our items and no help was offered for the same. SO please make a special request for packing when you ask for their service. read more

I had (on 3.17) a furniture-only move (which included a piano) for my 2 bedroom condo and they were friendly, very thorough (padded and wrapped everything), and conscientious about my furniture as well as the new carpet at my new place. The estimate was provided ahead of time, details provided on work over the estimate if needed, and a breakdown of the costs at the end. Moving is never fun, but this definitely made is much much easier and worth the money. read more

The two movers showed up on time, and did a great job getting everything down three flights of stairs. I'd warned them that two pieces were heavy and that they might want to send a crew of three, but these two managed using waist straps, which they were obviously trained to use correctly. I think they could have handled a refrigerator! They were polite and conscientious, and wrapped and blanketed all furniture well, at no extra charge. They supplied plastic bags for the queen sized mattress and box springs, too. So I saved in not having to buy or rent moving blankets and shrink wrap on my home. The move into my new apartment went smoothly, and they were finished within the estimated time. Nothing was scratched, damaged, or broken; the truck was packed well. On top of all that, a discount for cash payment. Excellent! read more

Bait and Switch Pricing. Kept getting different quotes online and over the phone, most of which seemed reasonable and competitive, finally got an in-person estimate, close to our move-date. The estimate given was ridiculously high, trying to take advantage of a short time period to the move (hoping we were locked in with no other options) and tried to switch to a flat rate versus an hourly rate. When we did the math the estimate was almost twice any other company and calculated to their hourly rates factored in close to double the amount of time that any other moving company quoted. Whatever you do, get them to commit to a quote in writing early in the process and shop around. OH. BTW- Went with QuickMoveTransport instead and they did it with a basic 3 person crew at a bit over 1/2 the cost of this estimate. Recommend QuickMoveTransport highly instead of these guys. read more

We used movablewa to move our 2 bd/br apartment last weekend. Unfortunately our experience was not quite pleasant. The estimated time we got from the manager, Paul, and the movers who looked at our staff before move was 4 - 4.5 hrs. But it actually took two movers 6+ hrs to complete the whole move, even with my help carrying small items. One of our friends moved their 2b/2b apartment on the same floor as ours with a different moving company a few weeks ago. It only took them about 3 hrs. We were expecting something similar... The movers were slow and not very careful. They scratched the side wall in our new home when they moved the furniture in. We had an argument on how much we should pay at the end, which adds another level of frustration after a long day move. We are NOT happy with the quality of the service they provided, and will definitely NOT use them again for our next move. read more

I would give 10 stars if Yelp allows me. We have 3 movers, one truck for 6 hours. They helped us moved a 4-bedroom house, an elliptical AND a piano. These guys are amazing! They are efficient, careful, and friendly. Their pricing is also the best out of the 5 companies I talked to. They were able to come out with 4 days notice. The folks at Movable were great. Because of some issues with the closing on my house, I had to reschedule three times. They were very flexible, professional, and polite. They arrived 10 minutes early, and moved me out of my apartment in Redmond and into my house in Renton in 4 hours. I even had some very heavy stuff (a piano, an 800 pound sideboard). Not a single piece of furniture was scratched or damaged. Nothing broke in the move. I have moved around a lot in the last few years, and I can honestly say that this is the best experience I've had with movers in this area. read more

Movable was communicative and helpful, except for not making it clear that there's a 3% fee for using your card to pay (the information was there, but easy to miss, and I did miss it). The movers communicated reasonably well but were slow and didn't seem especially experienced. They took a lot longer than I'd expected. Even though they had to do little other than pack my stuff into their truck (of which they used about half, I think) - and not all of my stuff, mind you, as I did a lot of the moving myself independently the whole process took about four hours. (I had originally hoped to have them get the stuff out of my on-site storage space as well but they took so long with my apartment that I told them not to bother.) The total time included an extra 20+ of driving time (charged to me) that the driver said was due to him taking a wrong exit. For the most part, the movers handled my stuff with care, apart from my mattress which they didn't bother to wrap (thankfully I had a washable allergy cover on it already). They took good care of my TV, but despite my telling them to cap the tube with my projector screen so it wouldn't come out, they didn't and it did a bit - thankfully there was no sign of damage. Movable was kind enough to refund me half of the charge incurred above the 3 hour minimum, making the final charge for my relatively simple, partial one bedroom move $355. They picked up my sofa by the leather - I was afraid it would rip at the seam. I've also noticed that they scraped the side of my air conditioner. I will not be using them again. read more

Moved from a one-bedroom in Redmond to another one in Seattle - no complaints. They got everything done quickly and efficiently, without anything getting damaged (even though I had some lamps that weren't at all prepared for moving). They wrapped up my dresser, so I didn't even need to take anything out. The two guys (Jony and Vladimir) arrived and started working 15 minutes early, but didn't start the clock until the scheduled time. They moved all my stuff (including disassembling and reassembling my bed, and having to deal with an elevator) in about 2.5 hours, which is pretty good I think. They also offer a cash discount, so that's nice (make sure to ask about it when booking). The one thing is that they have a 3 hour minimum, but so does everyone else. Overall, no complaints, fast, inexpensive, professional service. read more

And this is not the first time i am calling this company for service they always does their best at work and being very respected especially Jony and Nek they both are good workers. I was helped by Kevin and Mike. They showed up exactly on time, were very professional, and got right to work. They moved all of our furniture and tons of boxes and tubs all within the 3-hour minimum. The 3-star rating is because after the move, I found out that one of our pieces of wooden furniture had it's handle broken in half. A wooden bookshelf also had scratches all down one side. I also noticed that the entryway into our new apartment had been scratched pretty badly near the bottom. That's damage I'm going to have to pay for out of my security deposit. I wish they had gone a little slower and been a little more careful with our belongings. read more

Would give zero if possible, I was offered a flat rate but they try to charge me over 3 hrs and I rejected. After mover left I found my car windshield get cracked , given it's quiet community in Sammamish , I have to suspect if these two events are related. Update: The moving company called me stated the mover are paid by actual hour not billed hour so they shall mot have motivation to do such. From my observation I will add that one mover was really good and caring (example include he taped the dish washer bottle for potential leakage etc) but the.other is just average. Also they explained the longer time took was more item than my list of goods, I may missed a few item like a bed side cab but these dont significantly slow things down plus I was proactively helping most of the time so I dont fully buy that. I changed this to three star based on the statement from moving company mover should not have motivation to crack my car. read more

I must say I was very impressed with Moveable. In the past, I have always used the major moving companies (Allied, Mayflower, etc.) and this was my first move with a regional company. So I was a bit nervous. However, my movers from Moveable, Anafoe and Octavian, were professional, polite and they really hustled. I chose the pay by the hour option, and I was a bit concerned that I might have movers who worked slowly to add to the cost, but they did not. Anafoe and Octavian worked constantly and efficiently.
