DO NOT SHOP AT MOVADO CAMARILLO OUTLET. The manager Isabel refused to let me exchange a watch I purchased a day ago because I previously exchanged it for a different style. All I wanted was to switch to a bigger size watch but she said that it's the store policy or everyone would be taking advantage and make exchanges all the time. Mind you I never wore the watch out of the box, it was brand new. I didn't want my money back I just wanted a different size, same exact watch! I bought 2 brand new watches within a couple of weeks of each other. I will never buy a watch from MOVADO again! Terrible customer service! I am giving this place 5 stars because of RICHARD HERNANDEZ! :) My friend and I walked in here the other day just because I was curious to look at the Movado watches. I have another friend that recently got one so I wanted to check them out. Richard Hernandez smiled at me and my friend upon entry and kindly asked us if we wanted to see anything. I'm a typical girl who 1) likes to try on ANYTHING and EVERYTHING, and 2) cannot make up my mind about anything once I do try on everything. All of the watches were beautiful! I had to have tried on over 10 different watches and Richard was SO patient with me, I was really pleased and felt a little sad because I knew the watches were too expensive for my price range at the moment. They had a deal going on where all of the watches in the entire store were 50% off, unless specified differently (some select watches were 70% off). Sadly the one I loved the most was still over $1,000 even with the 50% off and I couldn't buy it :( But Richard was still so kind to me and even said that he himself was enjoying helping me try on watches! Every time I chose a new watch to try on, he would immediately calculate the reduction so I knew exactly how much it would cost. So helpful! My friend and I left the store empty handed, but we both felt really bad that we hadn't purchased anything since Richard was SO nice to us. He was/is literally one of the nicest sales people I have ever met. A few hours later, we returned to the store and my friend ended up buying an ESQ watch because she wanted to buy something from Richard LOL. BUT sadly Richard had to go on his lunch break so he had another guy ring us up, and he was not really that nice or pleasant. My friend had a hard time deciding on which ESQ watch to get, and the guy seemed to get annoyed that she was taking awhile to decide, and also tried to get her to buy two watches since she couldn't decide between the two. I received my watch (ordered online; delivered through the mail) and I was actually very happy, UNTIL I noticed that it doesn't work! Needless to say, I was a bit stressed out but I went with the assumption that it was a dead battery. I emailed the Movado Company Store to give them a chance to resolve this by sending me a new battery (that's all I asked for); that was 10 days ago and they still haven't replied. I'm NOT happy that I have to already make a trip (and incur the expense) to my local watch/jewelry store to get the battery replaced on a supposedly brand new watch! So, I thought I'd warn others that you may buy a watch that doesn't work when you receive it. It's a shame that companies still don't back up what they're selling. Called customer service who said to use a different browser or my phone instead of my computer which did not work. Used different credit cards and it still wouldn't process so customer service said to try going to a store or calling a store to place the order. WTH, why couldn't customer service take my order? On a whim, I drove from west LA on a random Sunday to look at a white watch that I had been stalking for some time. The people at the store were so nice and friendly, it was a refreshing change from some stores where the retail sales people are snobby. Anyways, I liked the selection and I couldn't believe the white watch I wanted was cheaper there than I found online...so I immediately bought it! I wanted to buy a black watch but the sales guy talked me out of it! He said wait and see if you like the white one then come back. Buyer beware Movado does not accept returns no exceptions. No matter if you purchased it 10 min ago or 2 min ago they absolutely will not return your money. They will not inform you before you purchase your watch. They will only point at the small sign and look at you like your crazy for even asking. I thought Mavado was absolutely one of the best companies but I was wrong. Even their employees think that Movado is wrong for having that policy. They would change it if they could but all they can say is not up to them. Shame on you Movado you should listen to your employees and your customers. 1 star for the employees they're awesome people. You have been WARNED avoid Movado outlets. I would recommend Kay's Jewelry for purchasing they have a 30 day return policy and the latest watches out. Movado outlet does not :( read more

I was disappointed to find out when I came home that the two watches I purchased both had dead batteries...now, not only can I not wear mine, but also can't give the other one I purchased as a gift to the recipient until I get that battery replaced as well. Went in today to buy any watch that matched my particular belt. Did not have a certain one in mind and would have walked out with any style regardless of the price if it had been a close match. Was met by an unenthusiastic older gentleman who "helped" me try to find one close by pulling out and suggesting several watches no where near the color spectrum of my items. It was just going to go down as a loss on my part and I thanked him for his "assistance" and he arrogantly shrugged aside my well wishes with an eye roll and an "okay then" quite smugly as I departed. My wife bought me a watch as a gift and they did not have any signs saying that there are no returns and the sales associate never brought it up. She then noticed it on the receipt after they swiped her credit card and handed her the receipt which said no returns. They refused to allow a return and will not respond to us. This was my worst watch purchase experience of my life. I own multiple high end time pieces. My battery lasted less than 6 months in this watch. Then it completely stopped working. I had to send it to New Jersey for the warranty repair. Something you think the dealer would have mentioned at the time of purchase. I was later informed that since I had the battery changed my warranty was then void. Again something you would think someone have said something. The girl who sold it to me did mention there was a 2 year warranty for battery replacement but every time I take it in the "repair" guy is never working. It's very frustrating!!!! This place has really bad customer service. Took my Movado in for a simple battery replacement. Service took about 10 to 15 min and I waited in the store while they performed the service. When I received it back, I noticed white specs of dirt inside the main face of the watch. I have a black Bold style Movado and anything inside the face is really noticeable. When I showed this to them, they said, "it must have already been there". I immediately assured them it wasn't since the battery has never been replaced or the watch opened for that matter. I purchased this watch directly from the Movado website directly, so I know I am the first owner. They claim there is no way dirt could have gone to the inner face of the watch simply by changing the battery since the area is sealed off from the inner face. I had them re open the back of my watch so they can show me this. After a dirty and worried look, he brought out his tools and started removing the back side of the watch to expose the battery. First thing I noticed was that the area is not sealed completely with the other side of the watch that has the main face and dials etc. and I did see areas where dirt, dust, can go through the other side showing in the main face. After a heated discussion they did not agree anything needed to be done because of its insignificance.?????????? They didn't offer any type of solution or repair, nothing! My beautiful elegant expensive watch is ruined and have these people in Camarillo to thank. Stay away from this place, they have really bad service and as you can see, can't even replace a battery without ruining and expansive watch. read more

We purchased a Movado - EXPENSIVE - watch from this rude man named Martin in December for a Christmas gift. The stainless steel band broke within 2 days of wearing it. He REFUSED to return the watch and blew off a repair of any kind. Told us to drive to West Los Angeles to the Movado repair. I told him he should honor his receipt and the 2 year Movado warrantee... he walked away. I then contacted Movado in New Jersey who CHARGED me to send the watch FedEx (15.00 each way) them to "look at"... and then wanted a credit card number so they could just go ahead a have at it "repairing" the BRAND NEW WATCH... I WOULD NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS PLACE EVER AGAIN nor will I ever purchase a MOVADO product (or any of their company watches ever again due to the SCAM of "Warrantee services" they claim to offer. I visited this store today, August 19th. I purchased a Movado watch for about $500 (after all discounts applied). I paid and everything went well until they start to pack the watch. I noticed that the box for the watch was not a Movado box but a cheaper line of Movado called ESQ. I said I would like the original box for my watch. Elizabeth answered that they are out of the original box and offered lame excuses that there is nothing she could do about it. I said I would call Movado and write a review on the internet. It is only then that she said that she would go back to the warehouse to check one more time for the correct box. When she came back she said: "you are very lucky I found one last box". I bought a Movado watch around a year ago and rarely wore it. One of the few times I wore it the leather strap became unstitched. When i took it to get looked at Leo Siekertzian was very polite and incredibly honest. he explained that the company normally doesn't cover leather straps, but that he will do everything he can to help me. Everything all of the other 1 star individuals mentioned is true. The manager of the store is unaccommodating and treats the customers disrespectfully. I also had marks on my "brand new" watch and wanted to exchange the watch. The store employee looked at it and said "this could easily have happened within minutes of wearing the watch." Then I said I have had this watch for 1 week and on the receipt it says exchanges and returns for the first 30 days. She called the manager over and he blatantly lied to my face. He took the one on display and "scanned" it to see if there were others in the store. He said there weren't and that these watches ship without boxes...I don't know of anything that ships without a box. I exchanged mine for the one on display. I hope for other peoples sake that they won't have to do the same because I guarantee that the one on display has blemishes. Then again, I'm sure they will take that one and put it in a box and claim that it is new like they did with me. CHECK YOUR WATCH VERY CLOSELY BEFORE YOU LEAVE!!! read more
