Darlene was kind and amazing, and thorough in asking questions about furniture, packing, pets, and exercise equipment. Things I didn't even consider! Day of the move (Saturday after Thanksgiving) Ryan, Santos, Mario and Amir showed up on time, carefully wrapped all of our furniture with either blankets or plastic wrap. The asked questions about where things should go, and questions about how to assemble or disassemble things. This is our third move, and we are not as young as we were with our last move. We had to make two trips, but it was still within budget. Next move, I'll call them again, and pay for packing (which we thought we could do on our own in our 50s!) They are amazing. Bruno, Carlos and Triston arrived early and were so efficient with their time. They handled our belongings with care and made sure to wrap furniture that needed to be wrapped. They made sure that the each TV was transported in a tote and made sure that the TVs were all on their stands and in working order before they left. They even went above and beyond and fixed the legs on a couple of dressers that have been damaged for years. Jeremiah's communication heading into the move was excellent and Mike and his team arrived right in the window they said they would. As soon as I gave them the rundown of the place, they wasted ZERO time and got straight to work - all the way until the last item was carried into the new place. Heading into this move, I was worried about taking apart our bed frames and putting them back together. Mission Movers took care of it at no extra cost. But the biggest thing for me is how friendly and HONEST the team was. One of my dining chairs was already cracked before the move and they approached me and apologized for thinking they did it. That small gesture went a long way for me and I know they were going to find a solution even if it was their fault. They also could've charged me for a full 4 hours but charged me to the exact minute they worked at 3.75 hours. Not to mention it was also a really hot day and they powered through it without a single complaint. The guys who moved everything were nice dudes but horrifically slow at packing and moving things to the truck. Not to mention they took numerous breaks, which I've never seen from movers before. I never mind normally scheduled 10-15 min breaks and of course a lunch, but there were 4-5 breaks plus their lunch. They also packed things poorly, missing pieces of lamps, remotes for tvs and other items as well. At the end they were very pushy for a tip as well. Go elsewhere for your moving service, there are plenty of actual professional companies who will not bait and switch you with the guys moving. Update: The company reached out and provided an excellent response and rectification for the move. They were truly understanding and went the extra mile to make it right. They do a great job ensuring that you exit feeling heard and treated fairly.

I got one skilled mover and one that seems to have trouble figuring out how to move a dolly up and down a truck ramp. The communication with the phone coordinator was great for scheduling the week of. You have to make a deposit online, cash discount. My movers charged me correctly for the time, but it could've probably been done in an hour less with more efficient movers. Problem with the industry in itself is that movers are paid by the hour instead of the job itself. I do recommend this company, but these aren't the best movers I've used.

AFD movers were absolutely amazing!…read more First, Mark was able to help us out securing movers within a three day notice. He helped us figure out how many we needed and the services AFD provides. We were given a great deal, other moving places would've charged us $50-$100 more and hour but AFD provided us with a very reasonable quote. They also called us the day before to confirm the move, which you don't see a lot of places do (just in case life happens and you have to reschedule). Then came the actual move. Andrew and his team were terrific! He had contacted us to let us know they were 30 minutes away. And they got to our apartment right on time! We had an on site move, going from a ground floor apartment to the second story, and Andrew and his team eased our worries with their steadfast hard work! Their fast work care with our furniture made this whole process a lot easier! We own two vintage pinball machines that were the only things left to us from our grandfather who passed a few years ago. We know they are big bulky items that most moving companies would've charged us extra for, but AFD did not! Andrew and the team took great care with them, that really eased our stress. They mean so much to us that it was very heartfelt to see the team take great care of them. Overall I would recommend AFD Movers to anyone!
