Cooper is a dog that is a little big for his age and needed the help with the understanding his surroundings. Plus, Cooper would start a fight with our younger dog Tucker. Tucker is a dog that can become crazy and wild at times. Alex came into our home and helped us understand that Cooper needed to know that it is ok to have both dogs in the family. Cooper was the dog we had first and he was not a fan when we brought Tucker home. Now that Alex has been training our house has started to become peaceful again. Alex worked with Cooper to show him that when Tucker gets crazy that it is ok. He is not a threat to Cooper or the family. Alex worked with the whole family on how to control the environment when both dogs are in it. We can now have both dogs together at feeding time and go for a walk with both dogs. Before we would have to feed both dogs in different areas and only take one dog at a time for a walk. Our home is so amazing now that Alex has been working with us. We still have a lot of work to do but we have the tools to keep us going. We are not done at all with training with Alex we have just begun our process on training. We look forward to continuing our journey with Alex. Alex has a lot of patience and not to mention a truly kind soul. You can sure tell that he loves his job. We've taken over 100 in-person classes with a handful of other trainers before we met Alex. We can definitely say that Alex is 100% hands down THE BEST. He is intuitive, has precise timing, and he tailored the training to fit the level we were at. I thought I had pretty good baseline training, but it amazed me how much we learned in just a few sessions. Night and day improvement. Also, I like that Alex has a great attitude, which made us feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. The mistakes helped us to learn quickly. He helped us get our puppy from no skills to earning his Novice Trick Dog Title in no time. Camp Lisa is an amazing boarding facility! The cage free concept allowed my Skylar pup to feel…read morecomfortable. The kennels are great because they allow access to inside and outside zones. Skylar was carefully placed with other dogs that were her size and age. When we picked up Skylar she was happy and appeared clean. A couple days later, I took her to a vet appointment, and she was very social with other dogs. This was not like her at all! Camp Lisa actually helped my dog become socialized. I will be bringing her back to Camp Lisa! I have recommended this place to friends. I feel lucky that this place is in our community. As I've moved around Northern California, I've been able to continue classes with Georgeanne. I've…read moretaken 4 dogs through her class starting at Santa Clara Dog Training Club. Georgeanne was one of my first instructors, and waaaay back then, many of the instructors were still using force training like pushing dogs into downs and sits. I can get any 8 week old puppy into a sit in 2 seconds so on earth would you ever need to push an adult dog into a down? Georgeanne was before her time, using praise and allowed her students to bring treats to reward the dogs-but, she's not a cookie pusher trainer. I learned a lot from Georgeanne and was able to show my dog in obedience which in a million years I never thought I would, or could because my dog didn't like being close to other dogs. After her classes, my dog learned to ignore other dogs and pay attention to me 100% of the time. A lot of trainers are set in their ways, and if you don't do it their way, then they don't like you as a student. I've quit many classes because of that. Georgeanne is different. She's sweet, patient, and never judges you. She'll also be honest with you. My last dog was pretty wild, and wasn't ready to go off leash for heeling. Georgeanne will tell you when is the right time for your dog to go off leash heeling and recalls. Nothing worse than having a loose dog disrupting the entire class. Georgeanne is talented trainer and also a good people person.

Update: Weeks later MV Vet responds on yelp with about what is expected as an update, what I did…read morenot expect was blatant lying....I was NEVER asked for more diagnostics, I 110% never EVER turned down any additional testing, I also was NEVER told to take her anywhere else besides the initial night before I took her in when I was advised I could take her to emergency care if I thought she might not make it through the night, at that point she was fine and I brought her to MV vet the next morning and it was not what MV vet is attempting to make it out to be...their BS reply is just to try and save face when they dropped the ball....lies lies and more lies, it's been almost a month and not a single person has contacted me....this is flat out ridiculous lying and false information to try and save face at a failing vet.

The total amount of treatment that he could have received could have been $1400, but the vet (Dr. Marrs) explained very patiently what we could do as a minimum treatment, and only add more if needed. Our cat is doing great now and it doesn't look like we even need more treatment at this point! She completely solved the problem with minimal cost / work. I see this as a mark of professionalism - she really knows her stuff. And I appreciate this. Simple solutions are the best solutions, and she nailed it. Thank you North Fork!!

I almost never write negative reviews. If you look at my history on Yelp or Google you will see…read morethat when I leave a review it is almost always positive. I am not someone who tries to attack a business online. The only reason I am writing this is because I feel I was genuinely disrespected and wronged, when I simply just wanted some accountability and integrity in return for their miscommunication and failure to produce lab results when they said they would. It is concerning to take a loved one in to find out what might be wrong, trust the clinic to handle it, and then be left hanging for days wondering if something serious is happening and whether they need immediate attention. On November 13 I brought my dog, Buck, to North Fork Vet for a checkup (vomiting in-digested food and red itchy paws) and paid over three hundred dollars for full bloodwork. I was told the results would be ready that night or the next day. No one called. Wanting to be patient and give them time, I didn't call back right away. It wasn't until Tuesday, November 18, that I finally reached out since it had been several days with no updates. I was told a veterinarian would call me soon. No one called. On November 24 I called again and was transferred to Ben, the manager. Instead of solutions he gave me excuses. He said the doctor had personal matters (this is 11 days after the fact) which I completely understand, but that doesn't help me get any closer to answers. I had paid for important tests and still had zero information about my dog's health. This morning, after an already frustrating conversation, Ben called me back. He did not have results. He called only to tell me that the owner of the clinic "tried to call me and left a voicemail." That is where everything fell apart. My voicemail has been full for over two months. I got ahold of AT&T and into my account and opened the call history and there were no incoming calls from the vet on Nov 18th. I didn't have any incoming calls that day only 3 outgoing calls, 1 of them was to NorthFork Vet at 9:23 am (the call that I made to them to try and get an update on the labs). Here's the thing, The clinic has my email on file. If they truly reached a full mailbox, they could have easily emailed results. My phone number has been the same for thirty years, so the claim that a message was left is not true unless they were calling the wrong number. I was frustrated, and I am honest about that. I never yelled, but I was emotional after paying for tests, getting no results, being told different stories each time, and then being blamed for ignoring a voicemail that literally could not have been left. When I tried to express this, Ben said, "I don't know what's wrong with you." That comment to a worried pet owner was unacceptable. He then told me that he would no longer be working with me or my dog. Honestly, once trust is broken I understand that. He said my money would be refunded, which I appreciate. It was truly never about the money, I just wanted to know that Buck didn't have any major complications. What shocked me was that he also said the veterinarian would not be calling me at all anymore and that my dog's lab results would be emailed with no explanation from any doctor. I did finally receive the labs today from North Fork Vet, but now I have to go to a different vet and pay more just to have a professional walk me through the findings. North Fork may have been in business since 1984 and may have a good reputation, but none of that changes what happened to me. I paid for lab work and never received a single call from a veterinarian. I was given conflicting explanations, told things that were not true, blamed for a voicemail that cannot exist, and eventually dismissed entirely. I am writing this so other pet owners know what can happen. No one caring for a pet should feel ignored, blamed or disrespected like this. I wish the clinic the best, but I am extremely disappointed in how I was treated and how this situation was handled. To leave on a positive note, thank you so much for taking care of Buck for the first couple of years. We really had nothing but positive outcomes until recently.
