This is my moving experience with Frank and I will leave it for the audiences' own judgement of this vendor's professionalism, being responsive, capable to handle unexpected issues or over-booking. Our move was scheduled and booked a month prior to the moving date 6/8/2018 @ 9am (3 hrs moving time in total since we have few items to move). During the first 20 minutes of delay, my wife (she left another comment here) called & texted Frank and he seemed don't know his movers did not show up. At 9:50, I called again he told us the mover's had family emergency (but what about the 2nd guy?? We had 2 movers arranged by him). He tried to convinced me to accept the mover's tragedy and obtained my sympathy for 5 minutes on the phone without any suggestions. I assumed he should have a contingency plan before calling us but not the case this time. I expressed my understanding of his problem but still my concern was that we need to get moving. We had no other alternative date to take off and all our stuffs were boxed and packed, not to mention I needed to go back to work during late afternoon on the same day. Frank suggested that his other crew was unloading stuffs only and would be able to come as substitute. I suggested him to give me a call back for what the ETA for the substitute team. We both agree to give me an update @ 12pm so that I know the ETA; that he said this second team should be done by that time. At 12pm, I was informed by Frank that the team would make it at 2 pm. So I certainly go back to my work and inform my boss about being absent for the late afternoon assignment. At 2:30pm, we called Frank again and no response. My wife was getting so nervous. We got response at 2:45 that the team was running late. They came from Elk Grove to our place that should only take 30 minutes. At 3:15, we saw nobody coming so we called Frank again. He didn't locate the movers right away. At 3:40pm, the mover called and finally they made it at around 3:45pm. During the moving, the team were working hard and doing things right. Our DVD and HiFi furniture was dropped off from the stairway and totally destroyed. We didn't blame anyone because thing happened. It just costed me extra effort to borrow the tools from apartment manager to clean it up myself, not to bother the movers and keep us on track to finish the moving in 3 hours. Also, I personally had helped to load the stuffs so we finally moved in to the new place. The movers compensated me the furniture and in return, I tipped them as well to show appreciation of showing up and get the job done. My STARS given to Frank's team: 1) Committed the moving date and get the job done; movers are hardworking and do show care of our belongings; 2) Truck (from rental) is right and running well. 3) Frank, as an manager, still remain basic level of responding calls; STARS taken because; 1)apparently no tracking system or sufficient coordination between manager and movers; that causes slow reaction to handle sudden issues. Frank didn't know the movers had shown up or not. 2)Fail to come on-time; Try to blame me and my wife for not showing sympathy to the unfortunate mover's family issue. Honestly, it didn't need 5 minutes but only 5 seconds (on the phone) to obtain my sympathy and understanding for the tragedy but we indeed needed a solution rather than talking about the tragedy. As a customer, we also needed sympathy for our worry and desperation. 3) Not setting up customer's time expectation appropriately. That won't help contributing customer's satisfaction. 4) Seemed like this vendor was over-booked that caused the delay, rather than the mover's tragedy. (There was no explanation for why the 2nd man not showing up as well or at least informing Frank why they were fail to show up on time. Junior and Cedric just left after a flawless move that was above and beyond anything I expected. They were prompt, super nice and very efficient. They quickly and carefully blanket wrapped all my glass shelves and tables, the grandfather clock, and other delicate things with expert care. I had some things I just hadn't had time to prepare, but they handled them anyway... including some delicate plant pots I hadnt even planned to ask them to move. They did a great job and were really super nice and respectful of my property and me throughout the process. Couldn't have asked for better than these classy professionals. Frank and his assistant came through and saved the day, at practically the last minute. He worked his magic and pulled a rabbit out of his hat! They were both very friendly and professional. Furthermore, the gentlemen understood my concerns and handled themselves in a quick and efficient manner. I trusted Frank with my entire life's possessions, along with my vehicle and they made it from Citrus Heights, California, to Houston, Texas, with; No Hits, No Runs and No Errors!!!! My wife and I just did a move from Sacramento to Southern California with this company and Frank was the only part of the process that went according to plan. They exceeded expectations and made this part of our move really smooth. We even had a last-minute change of address in SoCal (literally, the night before we were moving) but Frank somehow made it work no problem and was in communication with us before and after the move to make sure everything was good. Had such a great experience with Frank and his team! They took fantastic care of all of my stuff: wrapped things in plastic and in blankets and everything was neatly packed and secured. Even though there were stairs at the apartment I moved from and the new house I moved into, these guys were professionals through and through. I had Mike and Jeremy move me yesterday from one bedroom apartment to a townhome. They were on time, friendly, and yes, very cautious and careful with all my belongings, and they did the move in the exact amount of time they estimated with 5 minutes to spare and I paid what was initially quoted.
