Was kind of frustrating, but we waited patiently so we could see what this place was all about. The vibes were cool, and I'd like to go back on a weeknight when it's not so busy. So, I need the service to be a little better for me to increase my rating. And then maybe try some of the bites that they offer during food service times. Idk. I did not expect the Rock Shrimp Tempura to be that good! The shrimp was lightly battered & fried but the sauces were the highlights! Some of courses were delicious and some were mediocre. We spent almost $700 for a party of four. The situation that needs the most improvement was the pace of the meal. The courses were separated by a 20-30-minute wait time. Considering that the courses were very small and contained 5-6 pieces for a party of four... that equates to a little more than a small bite every 20-30 minutes. The dinner took 2.5 hours to develop, and we were honestly still hungry by the end. The waiter started asking us if were "still hungry" at about the fifth courses. By the end, we felt awkward in asking for more. The wagyu beef was particularly disappointing as the beef was somewhat chewy, lacking taste and small. Waiters seemed to be near their capacity of workload. Didn't really take the time to serve, walk you thru the menus, keep the service moving or even gauge your level of satisfaction. We ordered dessert to celebrate the birthday. Apart from a small chocolate plaque on the dessert that said, "happy birthday", there was no attempt to celebrate the occasion as other less exclusive restaurants do... no "happy birthday" wish, no courtesy dessert... nothing special.
