My husband and I went into Mozies with high expectations, because our friends love it. The gal that greeted us at the door was super kind! Our waitress was definitely ready to go home already (we ate lunch @11:30, so I'm guessing she had a real long shift after we left) I ordered the Reuben and my husband got the Parmesan crusted chicken. Based off looks, our food looked great! However, that was about it. My meat was tough, and I did not enjoy it. BUT the fries were soo yummy. I would go back to get the fries again. My husband was super disappointed because there was ZERO sauce on his dish, and the menu said there was a Cajun sauce. However, the toast that came with his meal was delicious. Be cautious if you visit this place. I was there over the weekend and saw an employee come out of a bathroom stall, skip washing their hands, and immediately return to work. I brought this up with another employee, who was behind me in line for the restroom. When I asked if they worked there, they confirmed they did. I shared my concerns about the lack of handwashing, but their response was dismissive, stating there are sinks in the back. I also reported this to the manager, who displayed a similarly careless attitude. She said she would bring it up with her employees but didn't even ask who the individual was so she could address it immediately. This lack of concern about basic hygiene is absolutely unacceptable and disgusting. read more

Hire a new cook immediately. Every single one of our dishes was completely burnt. I've never seen Sliders burnt this badly. They were beyond well done. Completely charred on top and bottom. Not tasty, not juicy, just dry as a bone and horrible. Service was slow but tolerable considering how busy it was. I looked around at other tables, and if they had any dishes with bread, it was burnt as well. Turn down the grill or learn how to cook. After spending close to $200, we all left hungry. read more

First off we got there around 1:30 pm and expected a long wait due to the number of people sitting around waiting. We were told it would be a 45-50 minute wait but it was around 30 minutes when we received our text and phone call. We enjoyed the food so much! Hubby had the Reuben with fries and Cousin had the sandwich with chips. Both were delicious! I had to steal a bite to test it for myself. I and our cousins spouse had the Char King Burger and he added fries. Those burgers were good and tasty! Cooked medium well and bun grilled on both sides. Cousin also got a lavender lemonade drink that she enjoyed. We didn't get through all of the shops so we know where we will eat lunch again! We will be back! read more

Located across from the historic Gruene Hall, Mozie's is a comfortable bar and restaurant in a rustic brick-walled setting. The menu is a bit sparse and the food was tasty but not exceptional. Mozies was great! Its the type of place that makes you realize why you love Gruene. Old wood floors, small & quaint, great food, drinks and country music playing. There were a few tvs with various college ball games on too. They had a full bar. We ordered martinis- a Lemon Drop and a Key Lime Pie. Both were delicious. For lunch we ordered the Anticuchos and the Grown up Grilled Cheese. Wow! Both delicious, and the Anticuchos were the best Ive had. Will definitely go back! read more

Never again, went in today for dinner with some friends. I ordered the fish tacos, big mistake. They had no flavor I just ate 1 and threw the rest away. After the 3 rd bite I had to throw up! The food was okay but not super flavorful. Our waitress Cheyenne was so rude. I went to order and she had the worst attitude I have ever experienced before. I also overheard being very very rude to other customers as well. I gave her a tip that I felt was more than generous as did my friend and as I got up from the table she picked up the receipts and I saw her throwing a fit. I get that working with customers is tough as I work with them everyday but you would get better tip results if you aren't RUDE, because customers understand you make your living off of them but we also don't deserve to be treated that way when we went into a restaurant to enjoy a meal. read more

Beat the crowd at 11:30 on a Saturday. Great service at the bar. The panini was great. Just the right amount of pesto. It can be split though with how large it is. My husband had the sliders. This place was so good! We were trying to go to gristmills and the wait was outrageous so we came here instead and I am so glad we did. The atmosphere is super cute, I love the uniqueness of the set up. The drinks were absolutely fantastic. I am going to try to recreate them at home. We had the bourbon smash which had maple syrup, lemon juice, rosemary and knob creek. Omg it was heavenly! The food was amazing! I got the rueben with a side of skinny fries that I have to my son who got a cheeseburger. I also got a small order of the onion rings. The side was still huge and they were so delicious! My boyfriend got the Pablo sandwich with chips. Everything was fresh and homemade. Craft cocktails. We all loved our food and drinks so much. My wife and I are from San Marcos and go to Mozie's once or twice a month....specifically on Saturdays to eat great food (Rueben Sandwich, Panko Chicken, Meatball Pasta and more) and to see awesome bartenders Jasmine and Kasey....we always sit at the bar to see them and watch our favorite game. They are very friendly and professional at the same and we enjoy their company. Its always busy which is a sign of a great place to be. We have been going there for 4 or 5 years now and between the cool ambiance of a once old Texas bank, seeing Jasmine and Kasey, the quality food, our experience is always outstanding! THE GROWNUP GRILLED CHEESE: They need to teach my mom how they made this. Paired so nicely with a sweet wine, too. THE STRAWBERRY CAKE: Where do I begin?! First of all, it's gorgeous. Yesterday evening we met friends at Mozies for dinner. So many things we ordered, our sweet waitress came back and said they were out of. On a Wednesday night, in a very popular area of New Braunfels, Wurstfest going on- so lots of out of town visitors, they were out of Sauerkraut for my Rueben sandwich, no Kendall Jackson, and another item our friend wanted to eat.
