4th of July. Our server was awesome! Answered our questions, and was super sweet & quick to get us our order. We had a Chicago Dog & Frito Pie & draft beers. The ambiance was what you'd expect at a sports bar. Lots of TVs, etc. friendly crowd. The food was pretty good, but we were a little disappointed with the beer. It really wasnt COLD. It was colder than room temp, but definitely NOT Ice cold. Disappointing, esp for a sports bar. We really wanted that. if you're looking for fine dining you've come to the wrong spot. it's bar food so you really can't expect much, but there's always lil things that can make for a better food experience. bbq sliders - generous with the meat but incredibly dry and under seasoned. curly fries - meh... nothing special. michiladas - the worst one i think i've ever had. not enough mix, spice or flavor. fried pickles - seasoned well, but not the best I've ever had. service was greatly appreciated. i was with a group of 10 and our waitress did a good job with efficiency and effort getting all of our orders. great place to come catch a game. read more

The bartenders were both very attended and made sure they kept my cocktail full. They also recommended the queso and chips that I had wanted. I was not disappointed at all. Lots of TVs throughout and enjoyed watching the hockey playoffs and previously had gone and watched The final four. read more

In town for Wurstfest we stopped by Scores and what a cool discovery. I have to give a shout out to Lauren at the bar! She a rockstar! Great drinks, great attitude and funny! We had a pizza and I'm usually not a big fan of pizza but this pizza was amazing! Perfect crust and ingredients. We knew there would be tv's but this place really does TV's. Huge tv's with every possible game being played! The crowd is fun and share good vibes even opposing teams get along and have a laugh. This is our go-to wing place in New Braunfels! A solid option for a sports bar - lots of TVs and seating with a pool table and some games throughout. There is also a smaller bar in the back if the main front bar is full. We normally get the Gilliam (mix of lemon pepper and cajun seasonings) and Garlic parmesan wings to share. The Gilliam is very salty, your lips will be dry and needing some chapstick after! I prefer the Garlic parmesan more: it is still salty but has more of a sticky wing sauce texture to it that seems to tone down the saltiness. We have gotten the fries, tater tots, nachos, and cheeseburgers before and those are great too. The bar food here is better than many sports bars in my opinion! read more

We sat for over 15 minutes and no one acknowledged we were sitting at a table. We left 5 minutes later still waiting for someone to leave a menu and order a drink. On the way we mentioned our disappointment to the bartender and he stated "oh, I will let somebody know". read more

Service was truly subpar, I put money into the music and they turned it off 30 minutes before they closed. When we asked about it they said "you should have known you're from this town." Every other bar I go to locally they turn it off when they close. It just feels unprofessional to say that to someone. I don't visit this bar often, but since $10 in songs went to nothing I don't think I'll come back. If you come, don't play music an hour before they close. I know, $10 seems silly to fuss over, but it's the principle. When we closed out our tab, they began talking ugly about us because we asked about the music. When we asked what time they closed they said 12:50 but their hours show 1:00. Just an overall unprofessional and rude environment. I'm not sure why I haven't written a review yet, but here it goes. Scores is my husbands favorite place in NB to get wings. He gets the Cajun rub. Wednesday night is Wing Night. This just means wings are 50 cent each, you can order in increments of 5! I typically just order different appetizers, but this time I decided to try the buffalo chicken sandwich. It was really good, just super spicy to me. (I have a low spicy tolerance, but Buffalo isn't usually too much for me) The girls that work there are always so friendly! Been coming here for a decade or more. My only complaint is even if the home team is playing (Astros/Rangers etc) there is just music in the background not the sports commentary. Dropped by to try it because it looked good on their commercial. Will probably be the only time. We did not go to drink, just to have a bite to eat. Ordered the sampler - fried shrimp, mushrooms, and cheesesticks. The mushrooms and cheesesticks were alright. The shrimp had an odd flavor or taste. Not seasoning, but like the shrimp was left out to defrost a little too long some place warm. The same shrimp were used on our shrimp tacos. We should have sent them back, but we did not. The mushroom burger was good. Not "oooh, this is good. Try some!" It was just... good. The chili dog was okay. It was slim on the chili, but the chili was not that great anyway. I liked the tater tots. Those were crispy. We do not frequent bars, but it seemed everyone who was there to drink was having a good time. So we came, we saw, we tried. We ordered food delivery from Scores this evening. The Grilled chicken with veggies was off the chain delish! I added Swiss with grilled mushrooms, onion and jalapeño and it was cooked perfect! The chicken was juicy and the spices were delish. The philly cheese steak sandwich with tots was cooked perfect and Devine! The kiddos ordered chicken strips with fries and Mac and reported it was the bomb. We had a fantastic dinner. Monday night my fiancé decided to go to Scores to watch the Cowboys game. We sat at the bar and ordered food. First I'll say the food for delicious. I had a huge hotdog with sweet potato fries. My fiancé had the patty melt and loved it. What we didn't like is the blonde bartender who showed zero personality and acted as if we were bothering her. We finally left because I'm not spending good money on that kind of service. We decided to walk across the street to Moonshine and Ale. They don't serve food but we ate already so we didn't care. I enjoy this bar- great atmosphere, plenty of parking and decent drafts on tap. There's only about 8 on tap but they have a couple of craft like Karbach and also have favorites like Stella and Shock Top. The bartenders are always friendly and attentive. I just found out they have food- I never knew this. Apparently it's a new menu, but it is good! The Philly is very good on a soft bun. The firecracker shrimp is excellent! Lightly breaded (I'm not a huge fan of fried shrimp) in a tangy spicy sauce. It comes i with spicy ranch which I find too spicy, so regular ranch works. They also have NFL Sundays! read more

The atmosphere at scores for Football Sunday's can't be beat. The service is spot on, local friendly bar vibe is always great. I enjoy the Bloody Mary it is good with enough spice. It's a no frills Bloody Mary. Vodka of choice is always Enchanted Rock. We got the chips a queso with chili which is homemade and never disappoints. On the Hot wings They allow you to mix flavors and we do a mild garlic Parmesan blend that is so good. Firecracker shrimp, adequately named they pack a hot punch, I do wish they were regular sized shrimp instead of popcorn shrimp or to at least to specify that on the menu, but they were good. read more

Gotta say the first time we went in July we had some AMAZING service from an experienced waitress who served us some great pizza and extras.Fast forward to Mid Aug and the service was extremely slow! Came to NB to visit some friends and met them up at Scores. First of, Rebecca/Becca hopefully I spelt your name right, was HUSTLING. She was running up and down the establishment dropping off food, drinks, and taking orders. It was loud and packed for the Astros game and she was making sure all her tables were taken care of. I ordered a Buffalo Chicken sandwich and some fried pickles. The fried pickles were on POINT. Crispy, nicely battered. The Buffalo chicken sandwich. OMG. I kid you not, probably one of the best Buffalo Chicken sandwich I have ever had. Crispy, juicy, and just enough spiciness with the sauce. Fries could have been a bit more crispy but that's okay. Overall, a great time, spacious place, that can accommodate a lot of people and I even saw a few kids in there. 5/5 stars. Will definitely visit again. read more

I came in for my friend's birthday and we sat at the bar and had the best time!! It was super busy and the bartenders were awesome. I don't remember their names but it was a guy with a beard and a short blonde girl. He made me this crazy birthday cake shot with sugar on top of the lemon and it tasted just like chocolate cake. AWFUL Service Was going to a concert in town and Scores was a nearby place with no wait at 5:30 on a Saturday night for a party of 5. We were seated and had our drink orders taken. When our drinks arrived we were told that we would be handed off to a different waitress. For 15 minutes no waitress or manager of any kind came to take our order nor even greet us. We went to the bar to let them know we didn't know who our waitress was and when one finally came over she just said sorry and left and never took our order as she continued to walk up and down the restaurant past us with no words. We decided against ordering as it was difficult enough to even get a drink order in. We wish the best to anyone who even attempts to eat here. read more

One, two, threes strikes we're out... sad to say, we looked for a "down to earth" hang spot - but every time you ask the bartender what liqour (brands of whiskry, tequila, or vodka in our instance) they serve you're met with an eyeroll (every.single.time.) gosh forbid you ask for aixed coktail ... and then you're served last of the more 'regular' regulars, with a SMIRK - and it doesn't seem to matter which bartender, the dude or the gal - equal eye roll. And then as they serve your cocktail nearly last, they call last call and stare at you to finish within minutes. Meh. I would say do bette to the company owner, but I think they dont care in the least. They've already secure their spot in downtown new braunfels. And i would also say that is sad, because the place is spacious and nice amd has SO much more potential to be memorable in the right way. read more

I enjoyed coming here pre Covid, but definitely didn't feel safe in there last week. They did not have every few barstool closed off with signs or anything. I had a woman sit directly next to me at the bar and yell her order over me. People playing pool with no masks, not everyone seated but rather walking around with no mask. We went and sat in a table in the back to finish our drinks and left. I wish they would enforce some more rules :/ I was shocked when that lady sat next to me and spoke across my face to the bartender. 2 stars bc drinks and food are fine but they prob don't want a visit from the health inspector and should get it together. read more
