Today was my first time visiting this restaurant. I ordered the chicken Florentine pasta, really tasty. I asked if they would sub Cajun chicken and they did - spicy just how I like it. My niece had the chicken alfredo which she enjoyed and my other niece had the chicken fingers and fries, she liked them but you can't really screw those up. The restaurant had steady traffic and one server but she did a great job checking in with everyone. From what I could tell, the other customers were enjoying the food. We ordered 2 small calzones on a Sunday night around 7pm. The online order said that it would be about 20 minutes. We arrived around 7:10pm and there wasn't a soul in the place, other than the two servers sitting at a table, the cashier girl and the kitchen staff. The total for 2 small calzones was 21 something, each is $9.99. I ordered the deluxe calzone which consists of Mozarella cheese with pepperoni, sausage and mushrooms. Phillip ordered the greek calzone which is Mozzarella cheese with spinach, feta cheese, artichoke hearts, sun-dried tomatoes and banana peppers. We took our order to go. The small calzones are 10 inches in size and come with a cup of marinara sauce. The marinara sauce is pretty runny, not my favorite. I liked my calzone, but I was a little surprised that it had pineapple pieces in it. I like pineapple, but if I didn't, I would've been a little annoyed. The flavor was pretty good. I tried the Greek one and the spinach in it had a canned spinach taste which I'm not a huge fan of. Overall I liked my calzone, but I didn't love it. read more

The food was delicious. There was a super easy mistake in delivering garlic sticks instead of the cannoli however they returned about 2 hours later with the cannoli and another fresh pizza pie! The cheese was too thick and was on the other side of the pizza and on the box by the time it was delivered. The sauce was hardly distinguishable with so much cheese. Well let's start with their water taste like dish soap , i've been here multiple times and it's been great ever since and then i came and it taste like . Their bread was burnt , my husband couldn't even eat his food because of how bad it was. They're pasta was really good until this time. Their chicken in it is soggy like it's not done fully. We occasionally get pizza from here. Price is right and generally the food is wonderful for the price. Ordered take out yesterday and said food would be ready in 15-20 minutes. I arrived after it had been 20 minutes and sat and waited for another 20 before I received my order. I think they forgot to put them in the oven. They could've offered me a drink or something while I waited. The bad part is that there was only one other party in the whole place. I asked for grilled chicken and it came out hot as if it were just cooked and not reheated $7.99. This place has been consistently great. The food quality, service, and atmosphere are excellent. We have enjoyed dining in here several times, and have tried several appetizers in addition to the pizza. The service is also efficient and genuinely friendly. The hand tossed crust is made in house and is so buttery and crispy. The mozzarella sticks are also very good compared to many others in the area. I've eaten a lot of Italian food in and around the Nashville area and this is, hands down, the best Italian food I've ever had! My wife and I have been frequenting this place for well over a year. We've ordered just about everything on the menu and haven't had a bad dish yet. We are not "foodies" or food snobs but your taste buds know what good food tastes like. The food may take a little longer to get to your table but that's understandable, they cook everything fresh. No frozen or canned stuff here. The restaurant isn't in the best neighborhood but it's still safe, even at night. They usually have live music on the weekends, which is a hit or miss. But if ambiance is more important to you than good food, this isn't the place for you. The staff is always nice, including the chefs and the place is always clean. Oh, did I mention the prices? My wife and I can often get out of there for under $30 (before tip). Mozzarella is a hidden gem within the Hermitage community. Even if you live on the other side of town, this place is worth the drive. Got two pizzas and appetizer sampler. Appetizers were very good and we were surprised. The pizza was above average with a very good pizza sauce and crust. We got one with half sausage and the other was a veggie pizza. I believe you can tell only tell the quality of a pizza from cheese only. Their cheese pizza was very good. We ordered on GrubHub and accidentally put in the wrong phone number. When we called to correct it, they said they had already tried to deliver and wouldn't redeliver or refund our order (or even the delivery fee and tip after we offered to come pick it up). We finally got our food after speaking to a manager but the food was cold and took almost another half hour from the time we called. The food may have been good at one point but we couldn't tell by the time we got it and the service was terrible.
