Ok, so I just moved in December from Colorado to Mesa. My last haircut was in early November and I was desperate to get my hair done! So, I called about 5 salons in the area and nobody had any openings! When I called and talked to Laurie, she was so friendly and seemed genuinely concerned about my plight! She even explained that for some reason, January is a really busy (unlike Colorado!). So, she had an opening that worked for me and today I had my haircut with Tory! What a great cut I got today! And shampoo with a scalp massage! It was an amazing hour there. Tory was so friendly and knowledgeable! She shared information with me about why my hair is darker on the ends ( I do box dye, but she didn't judge!) and how to avoid it in future dyes. I searched for a while trying to find a new salon that was a little more convenient for me and finally decided on this one. I was so excited to finally do something with my hair and I so wanted to love this salon. Didn't get off to a great start as my apt was at 1:30 and my stylist didn't start working on me until after 1:45 and didn't finish until after 6. I know it takes a few hours and I expected it but didn't expect over 4 hours. And while after I initially left I thought my hair looked pretty good, unfortunately after getting home I noticed the roots were really purple and more grey, I've had my hair colored a thousand times and always go for an "icy" blonde and have had a purple tint after but it usually comes out after a good wash so I didn't think much of it. However when I went to put my hair up to wash my face and get ready for bed I realized almost the entire under section from the roots half way down was still BRIGHT yellow. Of course I started sectioning my hair and looking farther into it an their are splotchy areas, tons of yellow and the worst is it just looks grey. After sitting in the chair for so long I would have expected much better. I did notice that most of their clients seem to be over the age of 50 so I guess they are just used to grey hair. I tried calling a few times the past couple days but unfortunately they don't have an actual receptionist so getting ahold of anyone there even when I tried making an appointment took several times of calling. Sadly now I'm stuck with grey splotchy hair right before the holidays and can't even get into another salon because everyone is booked until after the new year. Seriously not looking forward to visiting family with more grey hair than my grandma, and the fact that I can't even put my hair up because the underside looks so bad is really upsetting. Oh well lesson learned, next time I will make sure to really look at more than just the top of my hair before I leave.. read more

I have to sing the praises of stylist, Tori. She is an insanely talented stylist with a vision for each of her clients. I have seen her for years and followed her around the valley. I currently travelled an hour for her to cut my hair. Well worth it when you're getting exactly what you want and what your hair needs. My 15 year-old daughter and I went to Laurie and Tory today for the first time. Daughter has long wavy 1-length hair and I'm a 'growing-out' pixie with old color, highlights, and a DIY haircut. In other words, nothing easy for a stylist. We are both thrilled! Laurie and Tory knew exactly what we wanted, gave us great tips, and we walked out with the best haircuts we've had in years. We will be back. They have excellent products. Kat gives amazing scalp massages, and they are basically hair magicians with magical abilities. The salon is cute and intimate. Everyone was friendly. I have been going to Laurie at Mozzie Fox for a while now. I heard about her from family who went to her so I thought I'd give her a try. Sooo glad I did. She truly is amazing at what she does. It is a drive for me but absolutely worth it. The products she uses are top of the line products. She not only does a fabulous job cutting, coloring and styling my hair, but she also gives you tips on how to maintain the gorgeous hair she creates. After having my hair bleached to platinum blonde, my hair has been frizzy, dry, and unmanageable. I made a same day appointment with MOZZIE FOX for an olaplex treatment. When I got there everything was clean and I was greeted with smiling faces and offered something to drink. My stylist Laurie was so gracious about the damaged state my hair was in and added an oil treatment complimentary to help heal my hair. At the end of my oil and olaplex treatments, Laurie even went one extra step to air blow dry my hair so I didn't leave with completely wet hair. Now being home my hair is feeling soft and back to its original state before I had bleached it. Thank you Laurie and MOZZIE FOX for fixing my unruly hair! I'll definitely be back! read more

I went to Laurie for a cut. I found a groupon deal and went with a friend to check out her salon for the first time. We were both pleasantly surprised with Laurie's expertise and attention to detail. Laurie treats her customers so well, making us feel comfortable, and even giving us little gift bags with samples after the cut. I decided to do a drastic change cutting my long hair to below my chin. The change had me a little nervous and Laurie did a great job going slow and easing me into it. I found Laurie and Mozzie Fox via Groupon... I felt very comfortable as I checked into her reviews before purchasing...she seemed to have real listening skills and I was looking for just that! I found Laurie to be very personable, knowledgable and giving (She gave me a sample pack of some really awesome conditioner that I LOVE). Although I only needed a cut she provided me with exactly what I wanted, she listened and delivered my style to perfection! I ONLY go to Laurie now for my hair care services and SO glad she did the Groupon so I could find her!
