I was excited to try Mozzo downtown after having an amazing pastrami on rye at the Mt. Pleasant location about a month ago. I ordered the same sandwich today downtown and the sandwich I got was very different and was a major disappointment. The bread was barely toasted where the one in Mt. P was perfectly grilled almost panini style. I will be back to Mozzo just not the downtown location. In addition to getting a less than satisfactory sandwich it took 25 minutes for them to make that sandwich and a wrap which was also a bit frustrating. I have always gone to the Mount Pleasant location and never had a complaint. I ordered from the downtown location yesterday and they order was wrong, and the food was not tasty or fresh tasting (bagel was dry and hard and not toasted) at all partially due to them not following the request I made. I messaged them on FB and they saw the message but did not even bother to respond. I probably won't ever order from that location again if the concerns of customers are not addressed. It shows they don't really care. Sad. I hope the Mount Pleasant location has remained as great as they've always been. Guess I'll find out this weekend. read more

Worst sandwiches and salad. Got the veggie sandwich- came without any hummus. Dry as all hell. The margarita sandwich has zero arugula and lots of spinach. Worst taste- literally couldn't eat it and threw it away. Ceasar salad- dressing tasted like canned Parmesan and soggy/stale croutons. Somehow they managed to be both. Couldn't choke it down. Mozzo is a stop I make during most trips to Charleston and we were thrilled they brought a new location to the downtown area. The sandwiches are great, however, unlike the Mount Pleasant location there is no indoor seating. The inside is very small with no public restroom and outdoor seating is limited. Today was in the 70s so we were able to sit outside but during a Charleston summer I would be prepared to take your sandwich home with you. We got the jerk, the fusion and the Coleman all of which were super yummy. All in all, great sandwiches, just drive across the bridge if you are looking for a sit down meal. read more

Worst service I have ever gotten. The manager has no idea how to run an establishment. It's an absolute mess in there and the kitchen is disgusting. Longest wait line and half the time they completely forget about your order. Be prepared to wait an hour or more. I've tried to give them a chance multiple times but there seems to be a reoccurring theme of terrible service and gross food. read more

I've tried two of their sandwiches that include eggplant. The eggplant is sliced very thin then breaded and fried. These sandwiches were very dry. I would not recommend anything they make with eggplant. read more

Mozzo is great! I come here before work sometimes to pick up a quick bite and am always happy with my food! My only complaint is sometimes the online order pickup time is incredibly off, i've once ordered at 11 am and told to pick up around 11:45 and my food was not ready until 12:30. I was disappointed by this because this does seem to happen a lot at the downtown location but then again Mozzo deserves all the hype it gets for its food so I will consider the obstacle a point for popularity. read more

I love Mozzo breakfast! I make a stop at this location when I run the bridge in the mornings, on the way home. I always get an egg, bacon, and cheese on a Kaiser roll and my husband gets an everything bagel Shannon's way. I also love their coffee - at this location, since it's so small, they only offer one flavor. At the Mount P location, they offer a lot of different flavors since it is a bigger location. Be aware that the only place to actually eat your food here is at their outdoor seating. I usually take my food to go. Service is reasonably fast depending on if you order when it's busy. You can also order online and schedule a pickup time if you're in a rush. read more

Extremely rude strawberry blonde girl at the counter. This isn't the first time she has presented me with a rude welcome. She didn't say hello when i walked in just stared at me. Then proceeded to give me attitude because they toast their bagels even though i didn't ask for it toasted. She repeated over and over this is our standard. I paid for a bagel and ended up leaving without after she was so nasty. Unfortunate I will never return here again since this is the face of the business. First time customer. Ordered three bagels for takeout. Got home, opened the packages and two were correct, although the added avocado on both was minimal. Update: Please, please train the front desk better. We ordered last week right at noon. It took multiple calls to get someone to answer which is not a good start. I wish if they were busy it would auto put you on hold and not just go to their VM. Second, I ordered right at noon and drove over. When I got there around 1215 or so our food wasn't ready but no big deal. Well, about 20 minutes later it was a big deal. I finally get my food and notice the ticket wasn't sent to the kitchen until 12:14. Like, no wonder it took so long. Very good, but pricey. I get the honey slide sandwich and it is very good, but every time the bacon is way to crispy. They do say it's crispy, but like it's CRISPY! Very hard to eat, so I usually just end up taking it off. I also got an iced mocha that was way too sweet and syrupy, but I should have said something ahead of time because that tends to happen at most places. They have a very cut outdoor seating area, but no indoor. The employees are very fun and helpful. I also wish that they would put prices on there sweets and side items. Unbelievable. I ordered an online order and went to the meeting street location for the first time. I arrived at 11:30 for an order that said it was ready at 11:19. They did not have any part of my order ready and then claimed that the website "does it's own thing" and that is why my food wasn't ready. So I wait an additional 20 minutes for my 1 bacon, egg and cheese. Then I had to remind them that I also ordered a cinnamon roll because for some reason they didn't know that even though I showed the rude woman at the register my online order that said "ASAP" for timing. Then, when I got home I open it to find it's a random lunch sandwich with lettuce and turkey. Shame on me for not checking at the store and for assuming this Mozzo is equal quality to the Mount Pleasant location. No apologies from the staff throughout the entire ordeal. So glad they opened this new location but wish it was larger and accommodated more than seating for only a few people (outside only).
