They were hired for all air vents and a dryer cleanout on a 2,000 sq. ft. house, and particularly a bad smell coming in the laundry room. On the day of the cleaning Chris and Lee arrived during the agreed upon time window. I showed Lee around the house to the various vents and asked questions about the places I couldn't fully clear a path to the vent. The house's vents hadn't been cleaned during the time I've owned the place so it needed significant work. The same applied for the dryer. The cleaning took roughly 3 hours. I think they did a good job and made sure to take care of cleaning any messes their work caused. The one exception was the dryer blow-out which was left under the outdoor vent. My single gripe was that the final price ended up $100 over the original quote without discussion. However, it was clear that they had a lot of work to do that couldn't have been known without taking a look at things.

However, turns out they didn't fill the entire wall with insulation and they came out and drilled big holes in my walls on the inside and filled up the rest. However, they informed me it would be my responsibility to fill in the holes. I complained to the job boss and he sent a guy over to take care of it. Gas Tech Services really saved us this last winter…read more Right as the temps dropped, our furnace died and a full replacement just wasn't in the budget yet. I called around and either couldn't get anyone out quickly or the weekend/"emergency" rate was outrageous. A friend recommended Gas Tech Services, so I reached out a bit desperate. Steve Wallace got back to me fast, asked all the right questions, and suggested a natural gas wall heater as a temporary/backup heat source to get us through the season. He came out on a weekend, in the cold, and handled the gas line work and install like it was nothing. You can tell he's a pipe fitter by trade -- super clean run, everything to code, double-checked for leaks, and took the time to explain how to use it safely. What surprised me most was the price. For a last-minute, winter, weekend visit... I was expecting to get hit hard. His rate was more than fair, and honestly better than a couple places I called during normal hours. Benefits of dealing with small business, instead of these massive nationwide chains that seem to be taking over and controlling the rates is how I view it. The heater has been rock solid and kept the house comfortable enough that we weren't scrambling for space heaters or staying somewhere else. That install basically bought us time to replace the main furnace on our schedule instead of in panic mode. Professional, responsive, and actually cares that the job is done right.
