Mr & Mrs Bun - Pork Belly Sandwich
    Nelson M.

Well hard to believe that this restaurant has been around since 2015 and I just found out about them.... Good grief! Well better late than never I guess and boy where we glad we decided to to check them out. Truthfully we were watching Food Channel earlier this week and saw Guy Fieri's special on their restaurant which really peaked our interest, so first chance we had we headed on over. Upon arriving we were seated pretty quickly and after some conversations with our server, who happened to be one of the owners we made some selections and were on our way. On this occasion we opted for the Smoked Tuna Bruschetta, the Pork Belly Sandwich, the Short Rib Sandwich and the Sweet Potato Fries. I can honestly say that everything was absolutely delicious, fresh and actually made to order. What!!! That is correct all was made to order and you can taste it in every bite. Based on our experience I think I can go out on a limb here and say that I am pretty sure that everything else on the menu is probably just as delicious as well. We also tried the homemade frozen lemonade which was freshly made and tasty as well. Although we did not have any desserts, I can share that those are home made as well by the owners. Although we did not have desserts, the owner gave us a piece of their carrot walnut cake on the house, which was completely unexpected and very nice of them. Now they are located in a strip mall in West Kendall, in a very unassuming strip mall but no worries as their is plenty of parking available and a few other eateries that looked pretty interesting as well. Overall, we had a great experience and the service they provided was excellent as well. Highly recommend that you pay them a visit and check them out as I do not think you will be disappointed. If you can't make it out to them, then DoorDash or UBER Eats may be an option for you. Either way you really have try them out. We will certainly be back for more as we really had a great time and our chat with the owners made it even better. Enjoy and Bon Appétit m'es amis!

Wow. I cannot say wow enough!!! From the minute, we walked in, we were greeted with such a warm welcome from the chef/owner. He told us about the amazing specials and offered great recommendations. I had a mango mimosa which was delicious and my friend had a sangria which she enjoyed. We started with the criolla soup and it was amazing. Delicious and so flavorful. We also had bacon wrapped tamales. So good and didn't even need the dipping sauce but the sauce was great. For the meal we shared pollo chi jao Kai. The fried chicken wasn't an overwhelming coating and the pickled turnips and carrots elevated the flavor. I had to take the desserts to go bc I was beyond full. I got the cookies and cream and 4 leches Lucuma to share the other my daughter. OMG. The 4leches was so sweet but so good. Oreo was mouselike and delicious. I can't wait to come back. I highly recommend Mr & Mrs Bun

Been wanting to try this place for a while now so when my husband suggested ordering lunch from here, I jumped at the opportunity. We ordered: Jalea sandwich Spaghetti pesto rolls Fried dumplings with short rib and cream cheese Bacon wrapped tamales 2 lemonades The bacon wrapped tamales were my favorite. I don't normally like tamales but the bacon was delicious and there were little pieces of chicharron that were spectacular!! I have to go back and order the pancetta! I loved all the sauces too!! I'm definitely a sauce girl. Give me anything with sauce and I love it!! The chef helped us and he was so sweet! Please support small business. The food is delicious!

We had a few items to share and they were tasty. The short rib was a bit dry and the spaghetti rolls not my style but def worth a try. I can def see how others may really like them. Service is good, as well.

This restaurant is literally in my backyard and I've never gone... until now. This place is as good as all my friends said. The service was amazing. We came on a weekend for lunch and there not too many people and we were well attended and very promptly. All of the food was amazing with the chicken sandwich being my absolute favorite. I'll definitely be back !

A quaint sandwich (and more) place in Miami. Came here before a photoshoot for some delicious food to fuel me through it and it was delicious. The restaurant itself is very small but lucky for us, there wasn't a wait. Its a little sit down restaurant with a lot of character with both the staff and the decorations. We were handed menus and I came with a local expert so he helped me navigate through the menu like a pro. We got a pitcher of sangria and a few bites to share- everything was so tasty! Can't wait to come back and try more things off the menu!

Great sandwich portions packed with flavor! Hope to return soon; try the blueberry ketchup!

Chupe de marisco with a potato on the bottom of the bowl. Delicious.

The owner was vibrant and inviting, just as the food. This was a random stop for me and glad it was.

This used to be one of my favorite restaurants, but what happened? I remember the owners were always there and were really attentive to the food. Now it seems like the quality has gone downhill. Unfortunately, this last time I got an empanada to go. When I opened it at home it seemed different (crust and filling was a little weird). I foolishly trusted it and got food poisoning. Was sick all day. When I called them to explain what had happened, just to warn them about the empanada, the girl answering their phone literally hung up on me! Very disappointing. I wasn't trying to cause a problem. I am a local resident and (used to be) a fan. This was always a place I would bring family and friends to. But no more. What a shame.

Returning to Mr. and Mrs. Bun was a wonderful experience, made even more memorable by Juan Carlos' attentive service. The food, as always, was a delightful fusion of flavors, showcasing their commitment to freshness and quality. From the passion fruit juice to the sweet berry sauce, every detail was perfection. The pork belly sandwich is an all time favorite with the pork being so soft and savory. Supporting this small business felt like supporting an old friend, and we left with hearts and bellies full, eagerly looking forward to our next visit. The restaurant is so cute inside, clean and the 80's music sets the vibe right.

Great chef inspired dishes with authentic Peruvian flavors. The Jalea sandwich is crafted with care and tastes really yummy. The Smoked Tuna Bruschetta was my favorite though.

The Pork belly sandwich was my favorite! Service was great. Surprised there wasn't more people on a Sunday afternoon

Mr. & Mrs. Buns is so delicious! Stopped by here for some lunch and I loved the Asado con Palta y Cebolla Frita sandwich. I'm sad this restaurant isn't closer to home so we can come more often. The restaurant is very nice and the service was great. I definitely will visit again when I'm in the area.

Does anyone know their dessert prices? Those in the little mason jars. They are nowhere to be found. Thank you

Are they closed? Went a few weeks ago on a Saturday night and all the lights were off.

They are not closed. My parents live right across the street and were there just last week Friday. They are probably not opened late though so perhaps you went even they were closed for the night. You must visit. You won't be disappointed! =)

It was tart with a slight heat from the chili, with cilantro, thinly sliced red onion, sweet potato, and giant corn - nicely salty. The fish was fresh, and was nicely marinated. The Causa Ganadora was very good - cold mashed potato with Peruvian red pepper, oil, and lime, serviced with panko shrimp with a maracuya sauce. The panko shirmp was lightly crisp. The Lomo Saltado was good, too. The meat was tender, the fries were good, onions, and tomatoes with a side of rice. The Parihuela Acevichada was very tasty, served hot, with corvina, shrimp, squid, and musssels. To drink, I tried the Chicha Morada, with purple corn, pineapple, clove, and cinnamon was good. My server was friendly. It's a small place, with a small bar.

Francesco started as a well known ceviche restaurants in Lima Peru which is known for their great culinary experiences. The interior of the restaurant is very elegant and homey located next door to the Miracle Mile Actor's Playhouse. The menu here is traditional Peruvian menu with a gourmet flare. To start we order two appetizers the acevichado de Tuna and the Murasaki roll. The acevichado de tuna was sliced high grade ahi tuna, sliced avocado and drenched in a Creamy Ají Amarillo Sauce, very fresh and flavorful. The Muraski roll consisted of breaded shrimp, avocados, and cream cheese topped with slices of octopus and olive sauce. This was a spectacular roll with plump shrimps and the tasty olive sauce. For the main entree we ordered the Seafood rice and their sliced steak with shrimp sitting on top of cilantro risottos. Both dishes were exceptional but the steak was perfection tender and well seasoned. The pisco sour here is also a must especially the coconut one. For dessert we ordered a flan which very creamy and solid. I highly recommend Francesco for a nice elegant night out in the town.
