UPDATE: So shortly after I posted this Mr Appliance called me. We talked about my problem. Marty came out and said the board is fine but my washer shouldn't be wobbling like that. He wanted to replace the struts, but didn't want to charge me any more money because he wasn't exactly sure if that was the problem. So he came out again replaced the struts. That didn't work. He said it could be a spot weld that needs re-welded or the ring is shot. Neither is worth fixing since we can buy a new washer for that amount. Mr Appliance didn't charge us any more money. They did right by me and I wish this was a 5 star but one employee needs to learn to keep his ears open to listen to customers and not voicing his opinions. Thanks again for making it right. This place doesn't listen to you. First off I told the office to call my wife, since she is home and I'm at work. I told them that the control board was replaced but it wasn't calibrated and personality checked properly. That is why it is unbalanced all the time. So Curtis showed up and right off the bat said sounds like the motor is going out, front load washing machine never clean your clothes, the pedestals are the problem, shock absorbers are causing it to be unbalanced, and finally said it was the struts are going bad (I mean the shocks). Of course he had to call his boss to confirm. So we gave them $130.00 for nothing. I just wish they had listen to me. I did a lot of research. read more

I requested service on my dishwasher and refrigerator. I had to pay service fees for both. The technician "fixed" the dishwasher and it now leaks. I provided warranty information for the refrigerator and have email verification of that information and instead the company just closed the claim and kept the service fee. DO NOT use Mr. Appliance of Southwest Idaho. They are NOT BBB Accredited and they take your money, provide substandard service, and close your service requests without informing you. They probably used my warranty information for their own benefit. read more

They charged a $120 diagnostic fee for the tech to look at our microwave for 10 seconds (not even taking it apart) and tell us it would be at least $400 to repair a $300 microwave because of a blown fuse. The tech then told us this is completely normal and it's pretty much never worth it to repair microwaves right before handing me the bill. Wish they had mentioned that before charging me for nothing. Marty of Mr. Appliance has been here so many times this year we thought we should add a bedroom for him. We have great regard for his integrity and his skill. We have had a freezer compressor go out, a thermostat on another freezer. The latest issue has been our dryer that gave up the ghost. He replaced the rollers and the heating element and resurrected it for about $200 less that a new dryer would cost. Whenever we have another calamity we ask for Marty. read more

The service technician was very professional and polite. Unfortunately, when we scheduled the repair, the office did not explain that the tech would only be doing a diagnosis and not repairing the dryer. Standard procedure is to arrive at the home, take apart the appliance, order the parts and then return several days later for repairs. This was not explained. We have had had other repair companies out for the dryer and it was repaired by others on the same day. read more

Me. Appliance is great, and I've had the same technician (Richard) both times I've used their services. Super responsive, great communication and very friendly. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 stars is because they are a little expensive (in my opinion). $185 for a one hour job to fix a dishwasher draining issue. The only supplies needed were two screws and a zip tie. But overall I'd still recommend them for all the other great service they provide. read more

Absolutely useless! Call center staff just begging to send techs out and charges fees. Cannot even look up models or error codes and have an intelligent discussion about what might be wrong the appliance. I have a Samsung Fridge, the device is smart enough to provide error codes and point to a defective part. When the company can't provide an idea of the part's cost and/or the labor involved in the replacement, they likely have no idea what they are doing and the phone call this company proved that they have no clue. Really? The guy just blew a 4 way stop in front of my house at 30+ mph. I screamed at the dumbASS, he showed, then stopped 3 houses down the street. He got out of his van and said "I'm sorry, I missed the stop sign" He didn't miss shit! He hit the brakes at the stop sign then punched the gas. If I see him do it again, I'll follow him. As an addendum to my original review where they charged $180 for 20 minutes of labor, they also managed to find and charge me for the most expensive dryer timer part, and although I have been looking far and wide for Maytag dryer timer that costs $180, I have only been find ones that cost less $100, so I have asked for a receipt for the part from where they made the purchase, because they may have been a 100% mark up on that part, as well I have asked for the receipt for that part, or will plan to move forward with litigation against this fraudulent company. I started using them because 8 live in Melba and no one wanted to service my microwave. Somehow Melba is too far for some people. Any way, the agreed to come. Other than repairing our washer for free, I think they do a heck of a job. This is the second time we have used them. Richard was the tech they sent out. He arrived on time and ready to go to work. This time we needed our Swedish Asko washer repaired. He did a quick diagnostic, determined the problem, conferred with the company database and had the exact part ordered for delivery over the weekend. Asko is not exactly an everyday brand and we were surprised at the completeness of the diagnosis and repair needed. The repair was out of warranty for us, but the cost was reasonable we thought. My huge counter depth professional refrigerator decided it was done cooling at 10:30PM on a Saturday night. On Sunday I called Mr. Appliance, based on Yelp ratings, unforturnately they couldn't get out until Wednesday between 12:45 and 2:45. The young man diagnosed the problem and gave me the bad news: The Evaporator and Heat Exchanger needed to be replaced - $1,100.82. This refrigerator was brand new March 2014. They are not built to last, which is so disappointing. I had to make a decision - repair or replace. The refrigerator matches a freezer of the same brand - making it look like one huge unit. A new refrigerator is over $3300.00. Naturally, I decided to have the repair done and paid the 50% required deposit to order the parts. The next appointment was scheduled for November 2, 2022. I received a text message from Mr. Appliance along with a picture of my technician. Marty was on time, placed a mat at the front door and wore booties. He was very nice, courteous and I was amazed that he could pull both units out from the counter (yes, they are built in). When he took off the molding around the refrigerator and freezer he found that the plastic (yes, plastic) door hinge was broken, he showed it to me. I feel stupid for not noticing that it was out of align. How long had it been like that and did it make the refrigerator run more that it should have to keep the food at the proper temperature? He didn't want to repair the refrigerator at a cost to me of $1100+ to not have it cool correctly because the hinge is broken and making the door out of align. I really appreciated that. There isn't a part to replace the door hinge - you have to buy a whole new door. And yes, I looked on line for the part. He showed me their cost on the new door - $1400.00, and couldn't tell me how long it would take to get it once it was ordered. He gave me a few choices: Buy a new refrigerator ($3300+), Buy a new door and have the refrigerator repaired (1400+ and $1100) OR he could try to epoxy the plastic hinge and see if it will hold. I opted for option 3. Which meant I still couldn't use my refrigerator for another week - time to let the epoxy set and then test the door, by opening and closing it several times. Due to scheduling conflicts (mine, not his) we couldn't get another appointment set up until the following Wednesday (11/9/22). I received another text message confirming the appointment and then another with his picture stating he was on his way. The work was done, he showed me the faulty part, and put everything back the way it was. He made sure to put protection under the front feet of the freezer so it didn't mar my hardwood flooring when he pulled it all the way out to access the back. I took this opportunity to clean the floor behind the built in units. he made sure the refrigerator was adequately cooling before he left. Bottom line - I'd definitely use them for any repair work they do. Marty - thank you so much. read more

This was a 2 trip job...first to diagnose and second to repair. Took about an hour to diagnose the problem. Well mannered, intelligent and communicative. Also, used shoe booties and a mat outside to make sure he did not bring dirt in. Took a week to get parts, then the repair. It was involved but repairman was thorough, clean and knowledgable. We had programmatic dishwasher that went from one issue to the next, to the next and so on. Marty was great at sticking with it and won the battle! A couple months later our range ended up behaving the same way. Multiple burners, different issues. Marty again solved the problems. So whatever appliance might be next no doubt Marty can fix it. I called Mr Appliance as that who my home warranty recommend. My refrigerator has (and still is ) making a knocking noise several times a day, but is still working. As it is still working the warranty would not cover it unless Mr Appliance came up with the problem I explained about the noise to person who made my appointment, and told her yes it was working but made a noise serval times a day. She never told me that if the noise was not happening they could not fix it. I was told three things would happen, they would find the problem and open a ticket with my home warranty, and I would pay the co pay. Two they would find the problem and I would pay them directly. Or if "I" choose "not" to fix the problem there would be a $90 service fee. The Tec showed up unplugged and plug the refrigerator a few times of course no noise, said he couldn't fix and there was a $90 service fee. I did not choose not to have if fixed Mr Appliance choose not to fix. read more

They were quick to come out and diagnose my broken refrigerator. Very clean and professional; however, over the phone I was told they charge a small diagnostic fee, but then the repairman insisted I pay 50% of the whole repair bill (which seemed very reasonable) before they would order the part. Against my better judgement and out of sheer desperation I agreed and shelled out more than double the downpayment I was quoted over the phone. They said 3 to 5 business days to get the part and they would call me as soon as they had it. On the 5th business day I called them late in the afternoon, and they still didn't have the part (I checked and I could have ordered the part myself online and had it shipped overnight). They assured me the part would be in "first thing" the next day. At 2PM the next day I again called their office since they again failed to contact me as promised. I was told the part may or not be there that there were some boxes sitting there but nobody ever opened them. I was put on hold while they checked and they did have the part, but they were busy and couldn't fix my refrigerator. They assured me that I was "second" on the list for the next day (which happens to be a Saturday), and they would be here between 11AM and 1PM. After 1PM came and went I called their office again and got through to their answering service because THEY ARE CLOSED! It is 100 degrees outside and I have been without a working refrigerator for 9 days. They have my money but won't return my calls and never show up when promised. read more

Randy Bailey came out to our home to help us with the issue. He was honest and so very helpful! I asked him many questions about the repair process and he recommended replacing the oven. Scheduled a dishwasher repair. Asked cost of visit if nothing was fixed because the problem was intermittent . The company stated $80 was their minimum if no parts were used or no repairs made. I agreed. They came out and found nothing wrong. They then charged my wife $135.00. We called to mention the quote and the final bill. The front desk person had tech call me and he explained that he spent more time making sure nothing was wrong and although he knew I was quoted $80, $135 was the bill. I cannot begin to tell you how disappointed I am with this company. I have a GE side by side, refrigerator freezer that we purchased in 2011. The freezer side definitely is not working properly and the refrigerator side freezes the produce, among other things. I called Mr. Appliance and asked them if they could fix it. Apparently, according to their records they had been out to "fix it" back in November of last year. They assured me that "this time" they could fix the problem. Even though I cautioned them about the non-working GE Product. They came out, Denny and the owner, and said, OK it's fixed, that will be $135.00. My husband made a big mistake and had them charge it to our credit card. I told them that we would not know if it was "fixed" until we tried it. We bought a cucumber to test it without spending a fortune on produce. It was not working, so, I called them. They said they would call me back. They never returned my phone call. My husband and I are retired and we live on a fixed income. We cannot afford to replace it and it is no longer on warranty. I called yesterday, they patched me through to Denny, who promptly told me that they had "done all they could". They set the freezer and the refrigerator to the "factory settings" . My stove cord blew up on me and sent sparks everywhere. That was quite the experience. I called my home warranty company and they sent out MARS. I wish I had been there for that, my hubby was. The technician said that our warming drawer blew up and needed to be fixed. It's not a common part and is a direct buy through the manufacturer and will take some time. My husband asked about the cord to which they said the cord was perfectly fine. PERFECTLY FINE???? There was a hole blown in it and wires exposed and melted!! They wanted me to use this cord!!!! I called upset and the man I spoke to said that if the technician felt the cord was fine, then it was fine. If it made me feel better they could order me a cord or I could run to any appliance store and pick one up and replace it myself. Hmmmm.... I'm hiring a company to fix my product and they want to fix half the problem and have me do the rest including installing a cord that has a two page instruction and states to be installed by a qualified electrician??!! So I called my warranty company and they sent out Mr. Appliance to look at my oven. I showed him the cord and he said NO WAY is that a safe cord. He checked my heating element in my warming drawer and it showed to be in working order. Turns out, I ONLY needed a new cord. The prior cord somehow got pinched near an exposed screw under the oven that over time exposed the wires which touched the metal and blew up. Richard was great and did a fantastic job!! I would definitely recommend and use them in the future. They were honest and didn't try to charge for parts that were working correctly! read more
