Over the phone, I was given a diagnosis and an estimate, which I understand is only preliminary until they see the issue in person. Once on site, the quoted price changed quite a bit, and while they did fix something, it turned out not to be the root problem. I ended up needing to call a plumber afterward, which made me wonder whether the initial repair was truly necessary. That said, the technician was professional, courteous, and seemed like a genuinely good person. This is clearly a family-run company, and I can't say anything negative about their demeanor or professionalism. After paying 400 dollars for these guys to replace a fill sensor on my Samsung washer, it went out again. I called and told them the issue and figuring it was a faulty part from samsung, Mr. Appliance told me I would have to purchase another replacment part from them to get it fixed. Figuring 400 dollars for the 20 minutes it took the repair guy to diagnose and repair the washer, never thought it would only last 3 1/2 months. I do not recommend hiring this company unless you want to pay an arm and a leg and have no responsibility or repaired items. read more

The tech was FaceTiming with his wife while he was working. was asked back multiple times and never fixed the issue. we now have to replace the entire unit and Mr. Appliance won't accept any responsibility. Called Mr. Appliance and requested service for my washing machine that was not draining. They came out same day. Wow unbelievable how fast the service! The technician was clean and professional. Technician also put on his shoe covers and was very friendly and professional. The technician placed his tools on a mat to make sure they did not scratch anything. Thank you for that. He used his vacuum to get many buckets of water out without spilling anything. He changed the failed drain pump quite quickly. I'm so glad I did not try the YouTube video on my own. Beware!!! This company quoted me over $500.00 to replace 4 balance rods on my Samsung washer. After a day or two I researched what a new washer would cost me and I was looking at around $700.00 It didn't make sense to spend over $500.00 to repair when I could get a new washer for 700. I called the company and spoke with Michael the owner, and told him it was too much money for me to repair. He said he could get aftermarket rods and save me approximately $200. I agreed to the aftermarket rods, because we buy aftermarket parts often , rather than paying for brand-name. After a week, his technician, Liz, came out and replaced the rods. After using the washer for three days, machine failed to fully spin out a load and through the unbalanced code. I called Michael, and he said because I purchased aftermarket rods there were no guarantees or warranties. I asked if he could get the money back on the rod that apparently failed, and he said no because he would have to pay someone to take the rods out. So I said, I'm basically screwed. He said no I could wash lighter loads and he was sorry he couldn't help me. If the rods did not last more than a week, and he does not want to pay a tech to replace him then I am basically down a washer. My total bill to this company was over $300. I have a paraplegic son that we care for at home and we need our washer. I will be contacting the BBB to see what other recourse I have. Just be aware of the poor business practices of this company Happy to hear that you record all conversations... If you paid 300 dollars for something wouldn't you expect it to work more than 3 days. If you would have told me that this was a no refund, no return policy on any defective parts even if they failed within 3 days, i would have just purchased a new washer. Because of my son we wash towels, bed pads and sheets weekly. We can't even wash 2 towels in the washer before it fails. read more

I hired Mr. Appliance to repair a 1950's Pepsi machine after they assured me that they could do the job. Long story short, they installed a new compressor and a new fan. The unit became very noisy after a few days, and stopped cooling altogether. I bought a $200 warranty, which was not honored. So $2,000 later, I still have a non working machine. Don't bother with the warranty, it will not be honored. read more

Here's a company I would not recommend to use - had them repair my dryer and while in the process of installing parts on it, they scratched the top of my washing machine that was right next to it. Was contacted by the owner Mike by phone and explained what happened, he offered gift cards, I asked for cash back instead, we finish phone call and I think all is well. A week later I text him to follow up and he states tech stated they put tools on the floor next to the machine. I saw them put the tools on top of the washing machine and there is absolutely no room in the laundry room to put any tools next to the machines. Super disappointed that I am offered something and then the owner doesn't follow thru with it. I didn't damage the washing machine and have been super diligent in doing out best to keep our machines clean and scratch free. Do yourself a favor and go to the next company and avoid this one. read more
