Tech came out to replace the part that pumps out water when a cycle is done on our front loading washer. We paid for the service as it appeared our washing machine was fixed. Everything was working as normal for about a few days and then the main motor stopped during spin cycle and would not finish. Tech came out again, did some work and left with machine inoperable stating he needed a different part. Tech came back a third time, did some work and literally told us NOT to pay invoice unless test cycle finished because he wasn't confident he had fixed the issue. He was correct, he hadn't fixed the issue and motor was still stopping and giving same error. Through no dissatisfaction with Menmax (that will come later) we cancelled any further service on the washer, got rid of the broken machine and purchased a new washer. Had that been the end of things I wouldn't be writing this review. Today we were contacted (a week and a half after the last failed repair attempt) and told we need to pay the invoice we were previously told not to pay. I understand this cost Menmax money and time, but it cost us over a month of no washer and money to get a machine that works. If they realize that charging any fee for a failed repair is a bad business model, gives an appearance of being unethical and decides to forgo payment of that invoice, I will happily update this review and add stars as the tech was quite pleasant. We were contacted again today and Menmax waived the invoice payment. As promised I am updating this review and added stars as the tech was pleasant and persistent in his attempts to repair our machine. As these front loaders get more complicated "features" added to them they can be very difficult to maintain. No hard feelings on our part Menmax. Unfortunately, our 13 year old refrigerator stopped cooling. It was very difficult to find a company on a Sunday that could send a tech. Finally found MENMAX. Tech arrived on time. He was very professional and quickly determined what was needed. He agreed with us that price to repair wasn't worth doing based on the age of the refrigerator. SCAM ALERT. They mis diagnosed the problem with my washer. Charged me $305. Their repair made my washer worse. It went from an intermittent issue to unusable. This is after waiting almost a month for the parts to come in when they told me it would take less than a week. The tech they sent out the first time didn't speak much English. His name tag said Sergio but his office/dispatch referred to him as "Dan". They said they would send out a supervisor to take a look. Instead they sent the same incompetent and non English speaking tech that mis diagnosed the issue the first time. Sent me another quote for another $300. They lack customer service and integrity. I have been using Menmax for 4+years and have never been disappointed. Each technician is knowledgeable but, more importantly, honest. I had problems with my dishwasher, which was caused by rats eating the wiring. The technician told me he could replace the wiring, but I was wasting my money until the rat problem was solved. I appreciated his honesty and took his advice. In today's world, honesty in service companies is a rare occurrence. DON'T HIRE THEM!!!!! They replaced the compressor in our refrigerator and we later discovered that their price was much more than it should/could've been. On top of that, after having another fair and reputable company come out and also doing research online, they should have replaced the dryer filter to the compressor as part of the whole deal. Nine months and hundreds of dollars of food going bad later, they came back because the dryer filter (yes, part of the refrigerator) failed and they charged us an additional $400!!!!! The company that came out today said they charge $600 to replace a compressor and that includes the dryer filter! We overpaid $550 and that doesn't include all the food we lost!!!!!! SUBZERO SCAMMERS - 2 guys showed up that did not speak English and could not understand any either. I think they spoke Russian. We had to speak to them through a translator who assured us the one guy was the best Sub-zero tech there is. We told them all the work that had been done by a different tech on 2 other occasions. Once we gave them approval, they spent 1 hour literally JUST defrosting our freezer and then charged us $600 for it. Quick response and I was able to schedule a service call at a convenient time for me for diagnosing my Kenmore washer that was leaking. Sergii came out on time, diagnosed and fixed the problem on the same trip since no new parts were needed. He was very professional and charged me a very fair price. I had a leak In the water line to my freezer. I stopped the leak by turning the ice maker option off so even though I had no ice at least it wasn't leaking. He found the leak and messed with the line but now the ice off option doesn't stop the leak. Now I have no ice and a water leak. read more

This company had a great response to my concerns. I wished to know if the company was capable handling a boutique like range before committing to an appointment with a mandatory service fee. Now... if you knew a company could not fix what you needed to be fixed would you still agree to them coming out and paying a service fee? I'm not sure how much sense that makes.. but anyways I was instead told that my appointment had been cancelled in pure ignorance (when I did not even have one scheduled yet). Beware of this company... I paid them their $120 service fee to look at my commercial refrigerator as the compressor stopped working. Could not speak to the tech due to a language barrier, but he got an interpreter on the phone who indicated that the entire compressor would need to be replaced, costing anywhere from $1,200.00 to $1,700.00. The next day I received a quote via text for the repair for $1,883.10! $699.90 for the parts and $1,250.00 for the labor minus the $120.00 "Diagnostic Fee". Totally ridiculous and immediately declined the quote... After doing a little research and with some help from my Dad with running some simple meter tests we determined the capacitor was failing. Replaced with capacitor bought at Grainger for $18.47 and the compressor / refrigerator fired right up and has been working perfectly since...
